His work is phenomenal. His staff made setting up a virtual consult very easy as was the entire process. My incisions are so thin and precise, healing time was minimal, and the overall outcome is everything I could have ever hoped for. Dr. Michaels is the best in the DMV! I found him through my sister who had also gone to him. I went in June for a consultation and he just gives off great vibes. You can tell he loves what he does. He is very invested in making his patients feel their best but he does this with caution. I wanted to go big and he gave me his suggestion and things to think about with going big or too big. What we chose together was perfect for me. My consultation was quick but not rushed which I loved. The office environment is really relaxing. He answered all of my questions. I was a bit nervous going into the consultation but he made me feel very comfortable. His prices are reasonable and worth every penny. I worked with Leah to schedule my surgery. She was very helpful and got me the date and time I preferred. She is always just an e-mail away. I am almost 4 months post-op and everything is perfect. I chose the periareolar incision and I am beyond happy with my scar because it’s almost nonexistent! I plan on going back to Dr. Michaels for a tummy tuck and lip injections. He is your jack of all trades doctor and I highly recommend him.

This review is long overdue and I am sorry it me a while to do this, I had family emergencies that caused the delay. I don't know where to start because this Doctor changed my life. He did my breast Aug that looks absolutely beautiful and real, it has changes my confidence and my life, I keep telling my self why didn't I do this sooner. Before I get into the details, here is the final result: my breast looked amazingly real, perfect positioning, symmetrical (I had unsymmetrical breasts before surgery), perfect size selections by the doctor, it was like a work of art. Please note that I had a very skinny/slim body with little body fat and flat AAA breast before surgery. So in-order for my post surgery breast to look real, the doctor performed a work of art! He is extremely talented in his profession. My friends all agreed if I hadn't told them I had surgery, they wouldn't know. These are friends of 10 years! Here is the full story: I had initially selected 5 top Plastic surgeons in DC, MD and VA. No distance and no price was spared, I wanted the best. I chose those doctors after an extensive heavy duty research, it took me 1 entire month. The first consultation was at a very high end office in heart of downtown d.c. The office was state of the start and very impressive. However, I saw the doctor for 5 minutes. After that, his assistance helped me chose the right silicone size. In my opinion this is the crucial time you need the doctor on your side. But they took a screen shot of my body and simulated what I look would look with different sizes, it well very helpful and the assistance did a good job. I felt even though that specific was highly qualified, I simply didn't feel it. I needed to see another doctor. So the 2nd doctor I visited was great as well, but I left feeling something was missing. Finally, I arrived at Dr. Michaels office in MD. The office was simple, clean and to the point. It felt welcoming and real, plus the front dest personnel were professional and very friendly, it felt like I would get personal attention here and I was right. I was escorted to a room where I met Dr. Michaels. He was calm, tall, professional, friendly and just very calm and at ease. He sat there and looked liked he has no where else he had to be which I loved. I did not feel rushed and he listened to me and answered all of my questions which was 2 pages long clearly, more than that, he spend an hour with me going over the best type and size for my body. Literally trying each size I wanted until we both came to a decision. Finally, I wanted to Go a size bigger than our final size and he reassured me in detail that any size bigger would not fit in my body (literally, I didn't have the chest width for it) and will not give me the look I wanted. At the end of that consolation I knew I found my surgeon. I just knew. I was schedule d to see 2 more surgeons and I cancelled. I loved that he did his surgeries in the hospital, it gave me a sense of safety for emergencies. His bed side manner was excellent, very polite and kind. I was well taken care of before and after surgery. He always responded to my calls and emails promptly. I knew I was in great hands but I didn't realize he would make my breasts look the way they do now. The best I every made in this journey was choosing him as my surgeon and actually going through the surgery even though it was the scariest decision of my life. Please do not hesitate going in for a consultation and trust your gut, you'll see what I mean. If you find my review helpful please let me know. I wish there was such reviews when I was looking for doctors.

After going back to the surgeon who did my breasts initially and telling me that he needed to do all kinda stuff to remove my breasts just to get more money out me. Dr. Michaels is an amazing physician. His bed side manner is out of this world! I had an abdominoplasty and even though it was a big procedure, I honestly had the best experience because of him. He makes sure you are comfortable and takes the time to explain everything so that you understand what will happen. How can I write a review for Doctor Michaels without sounding redundant with all of the other reviews. I had a knee replacement removed due to infection and the Orthopedist could not get the incision closed. Without going into details, Doctor Michaels was able to expand the skin around the incision and close the “wound”. He even opened and closed the incision when I finally got the new replacement installed. Even though my case was probably mundane, compared to most of Doctor Michaels’ other procedures, I always felt that mine was his most important case and I was his number one patient. Doctor Michaels always thoroughly explained the procedures he was to perform and always included possible options that could arise while in surgery. His bed-side manner is great. We often joked about how my case was proceeding which always helps ease the “pain” no matter how mundane the situation. This review would not be complete without mentioning how great Leah has been. She is so personable and always seems willing to help. I highly recommend this practice.

If you are looking for flash and a space age waiting room then Dr. Michaels is probably not for you. However, if you want someone who takes his time with you, answers your questions, and understands what you want then you will love Dr. Michaels and staff. I saw and evaluated several doctors before choosing Dr. Michaels. While they all seemed competent I chose Dr. Michaels because he impressed me with his expertise and showed he cared. He also said that my surgery would take 4 hours where everyone else said they could do it in 2 hours. This showed me that he would take his time and do a good job. I am 5 weeks out from my surgery and I love the results. It was more than I could hope for. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Michaels and his staff. I don't think you could go wrong choosing him.

Am a 57 year old female with those horrible sagging jowls (actually called marionette lines) or used to be. Two weeks ago I got a treatment from Dr. Michaels for Juvaderm XC, the filler. In 20 minutes and using 2 tubes (2 ml I think), he made them disappear by filling in my cheeks and chin a little on either side of the those sagging folds of skin. Dr. Michaels took 5 years off the age of my face! Honestly, at least 3 years but probably more like 5. Am thrilled with the result - just a much more youthful face.
