Dr Richards was a great doctor. I had two babies over 10 lbs so I had stomach wall seperation which was causing hernias throughout my stomach wall. I went to several surgeons and they all said a tummy tuck. I went several cosmetic surgeons and after so many Visits with other surgeons, I made my appointment with Dr Richards. As soon as I met Dr Richards and his staff I felt like I was family, they were confident on the surgery, very organized , they new exactly what I needed and what their plan was to handle my issue . I new with one visit I was in good hands. I couldn't ask for a better surgery day, I was able to meet all staff in the surgery room which they were amazing and very personable. After surgery there was no pain and no sickness, healing was so fast and easy. Hands down I would recommend this office for anyone that needs a tummy tuck with Dr Richards he is the BEST!!!

I’ve been thinking about getting breast Augmentation over 7 years and I’ve been to multiple DMV surgeons for consultations but I didn’t fell that comfortable as I went to Dr. Richards So, let’s start from first consult date that’s was in May2018. I love his bedside manners and adore his expertise towards this procedure his practice was absolutely need and great staff.. welcoming environment that’s makes me so comfortable & speaking with Joanne, sorry forget her Tittlelol but this lady was so easy to talk to and would do anything far beyond to make you feel clear and understand everything your doubts, your questions any dumb questions if she don’t know the answer she will even check the Dr. Richards for correct answer for you and yes !! That’s what she did ! For me so no any different to you too ‘! Back to Dr. Richards was so pleasant answer my extra questions and he and Joanne make sure I’m ready to do my BA never rushed me to get the procedure, make sure I was ready or if needed to get more time they even told that’s fine and call the office if I had any questions and of course this is decision difficult decision and your scared , nerves and excited, but I was so ready to get my BA I’m same day of consultation day we talked about sizes and I decided to go 400CC under muscles My post bra size was 32A and I’m 116lbs and 5FT tall.i couldn’t tell you how happy I’m with results they look amazing surgery went very good and recovery went great I didn’t even had to take pain medicine post 2 days. I was good but little sore. Healed perfectly great I love it so much and I know this review make huge different to you if your planning to get any procedure with Him or his practice. Everything about working with Dr. Richards and Cosmetic Surgery Associates was a great experience. When I was researching my procedure, I made appointments with several practices, but CSA was the only practice that treated me like I was a priority! From my first meeting with my patient coordinator, Mariah to my surgery day and all of the clinical staff that were so warm, welcoming and supportive, to my follow up visits with Tiffany, the experience was amazing. Every single person that I encountered at CSA was responsive, kind and friendly. And the results are fantastic! I am 5 weeks post op (breast augmentation) and feel and look great. Dr. Richards was extremely professional and made recommendations to suit my body and my desired outcome and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Dr. Richards and Cosmetic Surgery Associates.

Dr. Richards did a fantastic job, my experience was wonderful. I had thought about a breast augmentation on and off for a while, but the main thing stopping me was that I assumed implants always look fake. I finally started seriously considering implants about a year ago. Although I looked at various websites of plastic surgeons in the area, I felt that the before and afters had too much of that fake look I didn’t like. Someone recommended I go to Dr. Richards. She was happy with her results and his professionalism. I look at his before and afters and immediately was impressed at how natural the results looked; my boyfriend also looked at the before and afters and was very impressed. The results were in a different league from the other surgeons websites I had seen. I made my appointment, and I received very positive treatment, it felt like going to the spa because of how nice and supportive everyone was. I was permitted to try on lots of sizers, and Dr. Richards made sure that my size decision was 100% my own, and did not try to push me in any direction. I scheduled my surgery for a few months later, and in the meantime any questions I had I could just send an email. Joanne was awesome with responding to them. Before my surgery, everyone was really reassuring. When I was out, I only had to take painkillers for 1 day, then I switched over to Tylenol. When I was recovering, Dr. Richards was available on his cell phone by text or phone to answer any of my concerns or questions, and that was immensely reassuring. I also had good experiences at my follow ups. I am VERY happy with my results, I think they look the perfect size and so natural looking, I had minimal pain, and I received a lot of support the whole way. Thank you Dr. Richards, and I recommend anyone go to him for your surgery if you want to look great and be supported.

I underwent abdominoplasty with Dr. Richards in September 2011. My abdominal muscles had separated after I gave birth, and my always-flat abs had become soft and bulgy. It was depressing that, no matter how much exercise I did, and even though I lost all my baby weight, my abs were stubbornly squishy. I began to look into abdominoplasty, and as I am a physician myself, I spent many months meticulously researching plastic surgeons. I went to consultations with three of the best plastic surgeons in Bethesda, and after meeting Dr. Richards, I immediately knew he was the right surgeon for me. Not only did he take quite a bit of time explaining the procedure and potential complications to me, he also offered a surgical technique that the other surgeons I consulted with had not offered. Furthermore, his post-operative pain management plan, including a pain pump, made me feel more at ease, especially as I had read that abdominoplasty is the most painful plastic surgical procedure. On the day of surgery, Dr. Richards put me at ease, and everything went extremely smoothly. My recovery was uneventful with absolutely no complications, and pain management was not an issue. The pain pump was wonderful and I only needed pain medications for 4 days postop. I was up and running errands less than week after surgery. The best part is that my results have been better than I could have ever dreamed of. Before I had a baby, I always had a flat stomach, but now I literally have 6-pack abs. This has truly changed my life. I no longer feel depressed and despondent about my body. I used to avoid shopping; now I can't wait to buy new clothes, as I can buy cute tight tops and low-rise pants. Prior to surgery I told my husband that we were not going to go on any beach vacations... now I can't wait to wear a bikini!! I feel like a new person. Dr. Richards is truly a technically brilliant surgeon. From all of my research, I knew that he was at the top of his field; besides that fact, he is also a warm and caring person with a wonderful bedside manner. His office staff is professional and courteous, and I never waited more than five minutes after arriving for an appointment. My phone calls were always answered and messages returned promptly. When I had a billing issue with the surgical center, Dr. Richards' office staff bent over backwards to help me address it. All in all, my experience with Dr. Richards was positive in every way. I always tell my husband that this surgery was the best thing I could have done, and I would do it again (with Dr. Richards) in a second. I highly recommend him.

I'd been increasingly unhappy with my under eye bags and how they made me look tired. After joining RealSelf and looking at MANY reviews, I decided that I wanted to have a consultation with Dr. Franklin Richards and see what he had to say. I felt very confident after meeting with Dr. Richards and his lead patient coordinator, Joanne. Before I left that day, I had scheduled my procedure! Throughout the entire process, my interactions with his staff at Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Associates were top notch. I was never made to feel bothersome as they always responded to my concerns in a pleasant and timely manner. The surgery went well, my recuperation is going well and I am now 5 weeks post up with much improvement! Update: Picture shows before surgery and then 6 months later!

I cannot express my gratitude to Dr. Richards and the entire staff at Cosmetic Surgery Associates. I was so nervous and so on the fence about getting a breast augmentation, but knew it was something I really did want to do.... I was so comfortable every single step of the way with his entire team. From the consult, to the day of (even though I was a nervous wreck, the nurse and the anesthesiologist calmed me down) , to my 1 week follow up and my 3 month follow up. I wanted them to look proportionate to my body, as well as not looking like I had implants. I am 3 months post op and cannot even tell you how it has boosted my confidence as well as knowing they are going to look like this for years to come! They are so soft and natural looking that people that didn't know I had them, don't know I have them!! I drove 3 hours for this surgery and have zero regrets. I couldn't be happier with my BA from Dr. Richards! I have a tall and lean build so I was going for a very natural look as I was pretty flat prior to my surgery (32A/B). I am three months post-op and measure as a 34C which is perfect. The entire post-op recovery went very quickly. After about 2 days of soreness, I was up and about on the third day and driving within 6 days. Dr. Richards did a fantastic job in helping me choose a profile appropriate for my build (moderate classic) and making me feel comfortable with my implant size of 275cc. It has only been 3 months but they have already settled nicely and have a soft feel! I would highly recommend Dr. Richards.

I initially was very impressed with the doctor--very pleasant and warm, and seemingly quite competent. So, I decided to schedule surgery. I put down my deposit, got my care credit, my medical clearance, booked my hotel and took a month off of work. I became concerned when I read two reviews both suggesting that the doctor did not follow the surgical plan these patients had discussed. I raised my concerns with the office staff, concerns which I felt were reasonable , and rather than offer reassurance, after a brief hold on the phone, I was told they were cancelling my surgery. Who does this?? What kind of doctor dismisses the concerns of a patient, especially prior to surgery when all that is really required is a little reassurance. I have had a number of procedures done, and have never encountered such a thing. It cost me quite a bit as I had already taken a full month off of work, and all my shifts were covered. But there was a lesson learned: better to have your concerns dismissed before surgery, than after.

I received a breast augmentation from Dr. Richards in March of 2016 and after only 2 months I am very happy with my results. Dr. Richards helped me to choose the appropriate size for my frame and answered all of my questions thoroughly. His staff are all very professional and kind, especially Alicia who is very personable and does a great job helping you feel comfortable right from the beginning. I chose Dr. Richards because he and his partner have the reputation of being the experts in the area and I couldn't agree more. My results are beautiful and very natural looking which was exactly what I wanted. I also was very pleased with the way Dr. Richards' office handled time management. Because I work during the day, I was only able to be seen in the early morning for all of my pre and post op appointments. The pain was very manageable and I think that was due to the technique that Dr. Richards' uses. Before you select a surgeon for plastic surgery, you must realize that it's not just a medical procedure, IT'S AN ART! Most any surgeon can safely cut and stitch, but if they don't have the artistic skill in plastic surgery, you're not going to be very happy with the end result. Dr. Richards is great. I had the mini face lift and couldn't be happier. I have a new neckline and jaw. No more loose skin. My friends all think I look 10 years younger and new people I meet think I am too young to be retired. When I first went in, I told Dr. Richards all the things I wasn't happy with on my body. He went over what options there were to improve my satisfaction with my body and which I might want to consider leaving alone. I have never had a "strong" jawline and as I got older the less firm it became. I have my 40th high school reunion this summer and my only child is graduating from high school and I knew that camera was going to present. I chose Dr Richards to do my neck lift because he was recommended by my dermatologist.I met with Dr Richards and did some research and felt that this was the way to go. I am thrilled with my results! Dr Richards is very personable and his staff is terrific. Friendly and professional. I opted for local anesthesia for my procedure and was a little nervous about that because I am a little squeemish but it was not a problem. I felt safe and well looked after. I am one week out from my procedure and have a little bruising and minor discomfort but considering how much "engineering" took place I think I look great! I would recommend Dr Richards to anyone considering this surgery or any other plastic surgery.

I learned about Cosmetic Surgery Associates and Dr. Franklin Richards through a close friend who had already worked with the amazing facility. I took her recommendation and went in for a consultation and was so pleased with every single person I interacted with. The staff has been accomodating, comfortable and accesible at all times. You get quick responses from the team, personal calls from Dr. Franklin himself to check in on how you're doing post-op, and all the information you need in order to have a succesful experience. I am so pleased with the outcome of my surgery and highly recommend anyone considering breast augmentation in the DMV area to not question who and just go straight to Dr. F Richards. Dr. Richards is amazing!!!! I had a breast augmentation and I couldn't be happier with the results.
