I could not be happier with Dr. Chang and his staff, who have been supportive and helpful under difficult circumstances. I underwent a mastectomy for breast cancer and Dr Chang first treated me with the primary step of a tissue expander, which gets filled in stages, and is necessary before reconstructive surgery can be completed. Dr. Chang then performed the reconstructive surgery, and the result has been exceptional. I am actually quite pleased with my appearance. Breast cancer is such a frightening experience, and I'm very grateful to have such a positive result.

I selected Dr. Chang for breast augmentation surgery based on his reputation with my friend who worked with him in the medical profession. Upon meeting him I immediately understood why he was so well thought of in the medical community. He was warm, caring and spent time to answer all of my questions. I never once felt rushed. His glowing credentials of training and prior experience further confirmed his qualifications. The day of surgery I watched as all of the surgery center staff flocked to hug and greet him. The nurses raved about him as a doctor throughout pre-op. I felt as though I was his only patient as he prepared me for the operation and he even dedicated time to address all questions and concerns of my attending family members. Fast forward a month post-surgery and I’m beyond thrilled with the result and process. I followed his expertise and recommendation and look exactly as I hoped. I've had 2 procedures with Dr. Chang. I did some research online first and researched his website. What I noticed was the precision of his surgical incisions. Many, surgeons' incisions looked jagged. Dr. Chang's incisions were in a straight line. I finally called the office for a consult on an abdominoplasty in 2017. Dr. Chang was the second surgeon that I saw regarding the procedure. He was very honest and provided me with realistic expectations about my procedure. I asked if he thought I needed to lose weight prior to the procedure and his response was, I never tell my patients what is going to be most comfortable for them. Once my consultation was over, I received an information package that included an itemized list of estimated costs for the procedure. That itemized list included, hospital fees, anesthesia fees, as well as, his surgical fees. Dr. Chang had the most upfront and transparent pricing. Not to mention, his price point was much more reasonable than the other surgeon that I visited. Fast forward to 2018. I had lost some weight and we discussed what I could reasonably expect from my procedure. Of course, me being me, I threw a monkey wrench into my treatment plan. I added a gynecological procedure to be performed at the same time (a 2 for 1 per se). Again, he explained what he would and would not be able to do (get to my love handles), with adding the other procedure. I was ecstatic about my results. I healed very well with limited scarring. Fast forward again to 2019, I wanted to correct my "back fat". Correction, Dr. Chang said it was simply excess skin. No need to be flat in the front and bumpy in the back. I received the same type of service as before with this consultation. Two weeks before my procedure, I threw yet another monkey wrench. I added the extended tummy tuck; which addressed the love handles. While this was an additional cost to me. We discussed expectations. I am currently 4 weeks post op and could NOT be more ecstatic than I am. My results are amaze balls!!! I am flat in the front and flat in the back, so that means that overall I am a snatched snack. :)

Dr. Chang made me feel like I was doomed to have the face I have as there was nothing he could do that would meet my expectations even though I did not state what my expectations were. Horribly insensitive. Went to another Plastic Surgery and discovered all the things that can be done to help my skin and revitalize my face. I did not see or hear of any specialized equipment and treatments that he offered. Try a plastic surgeon who offers newer modalities and techniques. You will be much happier.

I think Dr. Chang is a great doctor. He thoroughly went over exactly what he is was going to do and what I would experience during recovery. He also made sure to answer my questions. He is friendly and easy to talk to. I liked that he listened to me and took the time to understand my concerns and help me feel less anxious. He is really down to earth and easy to communicate with. Office staff and nurses are also friendly and helpful. I have been here several times now and I would recommend this place.

I had a large lipoma, located behind my right ear. I had it removed a few years back by another surgeon, who didn’t remove the whole thing, causing it to grow back. Dr. Chang removed all of it!!! I had a wonderful experience, from his office staff. To the staff at Howard County General surgery center. Everyone and I mean everyone was sooooo nice, and caring. I had no choice but to write a review! I would do it all over again. Thank you Dr.Chang for allowing me to wear a ponytail again.

Dr. Chang was recommended by my dermatologist to take the biopsy on my face to leave minimal scarring. Highly recommend a plastic surgeon to reduce scarring. I have several friends and family that didnt and wish they had been advised about involving a plastic surgeon. I did have skin cancer. The first scar only 7 days after biopsy cut was minimally vusual. He completed the 2nd surgery after having the Mohs procedure several weeks later after the biopsy results. Its almost 3 weeks later and its looking way better in last few days. He had to cut part of nose/cheek to cover the Mohs surgery cuts. Thankfully he didnt have to cut from my forehead.
