Over the last ten years I’ve had numerous basal and squamous cell skin cancers removed from various locations on my body. Most of those cancers were removed by Mohs surgery and the results were good. The last Mohs surgery was on my forehead and due to the large size of the incision and lack of skin on my forehead the wound was left open to heal. The wound healed three months later (with no complications). Fast forward two years and I was diagnosed with another basal cell on my head. Recalling my last experience with Mohs surgery on my head I was hesitant to commit to another three-month healing cycle. After speaking/complaining to a coworker about my dilemma I was referred to Doctor Claytor who came highly regarded. Shortly thereafter I met with Dr. Claytor who (as you’ve read in previous reviews) puts you at ease immediately. He then explained in detail how he removes these skin cancers and the healing process. I was confident this would be a different experience. During my first visit Dr. Claytor removed a small area of skin and sent it to be tested. Dr. Claytor called me a week later saying he had to remove a little more. We scheduled the second visit two months later. During that visit he removed a little more and sent it for testing. Those results were negative. Cancer free. Both procedures took less than 20 minutes and each incision healed in two weeks. I was right. A much different experience. Thank you Doctor Claytor!

I contacted the Claytor/Noone Institute in late August 2015 regarding an open wound on a skin graft site on my lower left leg and my fear of a possible recurrence of osteomyelitis. Dr. Noone and his partner Dr. J. Brien Murphy had performed extensive reconstructive surgeries on my lower left leg in 1982 and 1983 as a result of severe injuries from a car accident. I was informed Dr Noone was retiring but his partner Dr. Claytor would see me right away. Dr Claytor spent a great deal of time during my initial appointment gaining a thorough understanding of the history of my prior surgeries, the compromised anatomy of my leg and my prior bout with osteo. The risk of not getting proper care for the wound was possible amputation and he immediately had his staff set up all necessary appointments for x-rays, infectious disease evaluation and wound care options such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy. His sense of urgency and thorough evaluation gave me great deal of comfort that I was finally getting the best possible care by someone who really understood the unique challenges my leg presented. Dr Claytor developed a plan to heal the wound using non invasive procedures first but he also had a secondary plan for free flap surgery if necessary and consulted with colleagues in Philadelphia to explore all possible alternatives. I met with Dr Claytor at least once a week and sometimes more frequently for monitoring of changes in my wound. He prescribed the wound VAC in October 2015 and over period of 4 months, the VAC finally did close the wound. Dr Claytor counseled patience when I became frustrated by the slow healing process. He was absolutely right. Under his care, my wound healed completely and I avoided a complicated free flap surgery. I think the world of Dr Claytor. He is a true expert in reconstructive and plastic surgery. He explored all possible alternatives for treatment and fully explained all options to me along the way. His caring and compassion are unsurpassed. His staff is a critical part of the treatment team. They are very professional and proficient and truly invested in the well being of the patient. Emily was always available to answer questions and Kim and Michelle worked very closely with me on appointment scheduling and paperwork. I am very, very grateful for the all that Dr Claytor and his team did for me during the past 8 months. Again, thank you all very much for outstanding kindness and care.

Very happy with my lower eyelid blepharoplasty. No more under eyebags, I am almost 50 and my eyes look better than they did in my twenties. I had surgery done under local anesthesia, I had no pain either during or after surgery. I intend to return to Dr. Claytor in a few years for a facelift. I would highly recommend Dr. Claytor. I recently had a significant breast reduction from a size “J”. Due to my breast size I had constant shoulder, back and neck pain. There were also some nerve related damage to two fingers on my left hand. I tried the injections, therapy and Meds but nothing was working. I am not a typical patient due to some clotting issues and have been turned down by other surgeons. Dr. Claytor took the time to consolidate with my other doctors, kept me assured and relaxed during my clearances and delivered AMAZING RESULTS!!. Immediately following my surgery I noticed my shoulder pain was gone!!!! My surgery went smoothly and my new breasts have far exceeded my expectations. I am still healing and will probably end up at a Full C or average D cup but they are so beautiful. One of the best physical and mental decisions of my life. Dr. Claytor’s staff is professional, friendly and accommodating. He is a professional, a gentleman and a true blessing. Reducing my pain level was my 1st priority but I would be lying if I did not say my confidence has gone through the roof. My experience overall was absolutely wonderful!! I had a breast reduction in May 2016 and I' m feeling great. After having a spinal fusion in 2013, I was reluctant to have more surgery. My experience with Dr. Claytor was fantastic from beginning to end. The appointments all started right on time. The nurses and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. On the day of my procedure Dr. Claytor and his staff put me at ease. He removed 2 moles on my face, including one extremely large mole. Best of all, only one month later I have literally no scars from the procedure. My initial treatment in August 2017 consisted of a nipple-sparing bilateral mastectomy (from a Breast Surgeon) along with direct-to-implant reconstruction with a different Plastic Surgeon. I never ‘meshed’ with that PS and felt super frustrated. Another breast cancer survivor/friend HIGHLY recommended Dr. Claytor for my revision surgery. BEST DECISION EVER! As soon as Dr. Claytor walked in the room during my initial consultation, I knew I was in the right place! Every member of the staff working with Dr Claytor was kind, which means so much when you are having surgery. I was able to ask as many questions as necessary for me to feel comfortable. I am forever grateful to Dr Claytor for his upbeat manner and his confidence and skill as a surgeon. I felt vulnerable going in to discuss the possibility of breast reduction surgery, but Dr Claytor was so open/so "human" (unlike many doctors I've come in contact with over the years). This, coupled with his extensive experience, had me leaving my initial consultation feeling like I had found the right person/practice. My experience with Dr. Claytor was incredible. When I came into see him the first time I had a deflated breast implant and I was a mess as you can imagine.. My previous plastic surgeon was Dr. Noone but he had retired (Dr Noone always did spectacular AAA+++ work for me all 3/three times I used him in the past 25 years). I was afraid to use another plastic surgeon, one I didn’t know, BUT I knew in my heart that Dr. Noone would not have sold his practice to anyone that was not just as gifted with skills and compassion for his patients. So Dr. Claytor & I spoke for quite a long time, we went over what I was looking for visually and my expectations and my fears. He explained the replacement implant process to me in understandable terms, he answered all my questions, even when I called in with more questions, he always got right back to me. Dr. Claytor’s staff are all extremely professional. The day of surgery, I did not have any fears; I knew I was in great hands. He met with me before I was wheeled into the surgery room to go over everything again and to answer any last minute questions I . may have. After the surgery I woke up and within a short time he was there again to greet me and tell me how the surgery went and to go over my recovery details. He stressed that because my surgery replacement breast implants) was more complicated than just putting in implants for the first time, that I should use ice and not be scared by how I looked the first two weeks because there is always swelling that may look weird but it all goes away soon enough. Within 2/two weeks I was absolutely ecstatic with the results of my surgery. I have the most amazing beautiful breasts and they are exactly what I was looking for, his work was magnificent (my husband agrees). I now call him the Breast Guru. I told him i would be willing to talk to anyone of his potential patients that may be considering surgery with him to tell them my experience and a;swer any questions they may have, I also told him he could share my pictures with these potential patients so they can see first hand what I looked like when I walked into his office prior to his surgery and what I look like now – I now plan on having procedures on other areas of my body and face with Dr. Claytor because now I know how incredibly talented and skilled he really is. Dr.Claytor and Emily make the exam room feel like a safe place to just express everything that you don't like about yourself and want to change. She's 100% real with you and she gives the best advice and information on things that you will need after the surgery. The first time you meet him you are blown away by how kind and down to earth he is. In my mind, I had this image of PS being these swallow/cold doctors....like how the media portrays them. I have also read a lot of negative reviews online about PS behaving in this manner. I never expected him to be so...human. I did so much research on him and learned about all his accomplishments, awards, the fact that he is well know in the area as a hotshot awarded Top Doctor yearly, and that he was chosen by Dr. R. Barrett Noone (aka a living legend, a man who has been a highly credentialed surgeon) to carry on his legacy. You can literally google all of this...so yeah I was intimidated to say the least and really nervous to meet him. He for sure exceeded all my expectations. He took his time listening to me and understanding my needs. He did a full assessment,then he fully explained my options+what would work best for me. I had 2 appointments setup with other 2 PS in my area. After meeting Dr.Claytor and the whole experience with the his staff + seeing his work.. I canceled those appts. I am so glad I did. He was the best and right DR. for me. Even before I got my surgery, I recommend my sister for a breast augmentation. That's how much confidence I have in him. My sister had her surgery a week after I had mine. She is so pleased with her surgery. Her breast look so amazing and natural looking. My surgery was on Aug 1 and I was so scared. Dr.Claytor helped calm my nerves before going into the OR. The recovery was like I could have never imagined. I read so many crazy things about the pain level and the hard recovery etc. Dr.Claytor checked on me every single day, while I recovered in the hospital. He also called me to check in every night the first week while I was at home. I had my surgery at 6am, later at night around 7-8pm that same day Dr.Claytor left a dinner and showed up at the hospital to check up on me. The nurse had called him because I was puking a lot and had vertigo due to the anesthesia. I felt bad because when he showed up he was all dressed up. That's the kind of doctor and great person he is. He goes above and beyond to make sure his patients are ok. I am 4 weeks post op. The first 2 days where the hardest. I stopped painkillers on day 3 and switch to over the counter. I was moving around with just soreness in days 3-4. I have to say in 3 weeks I haven't felt pain or anything relating to complications from the surgery itself. I love my stomach and my breast implants are dropping into place.This is thanks to Dr.Claytor special techniques with the tummy tuck surgery.The way he tighten the muscles and the type of sutures he used and their placement. He explained that I would be up and walking around day 3-4. He was right...I wasn't sure because I read online that around week 3 is normally when people are up and walking + sleeping in their bed.I did all of this in day 4.
