Dr. Patel was my emergency plastic surgeon back in 2011 when I got mauled by a dog on my face. He did an amazing job with the 60+ surface and subsurface sutures and was so gentle with me during the emergency surgery. (I had to be awake so he and the team could gauge my facial responsiveness.) I was deeply frightened of how I would look afterward and he was always understanding. In the weeks after the surgery during follow up, he was honest and helpful with treatment recommendations. He gave me tips to minimize scarring, cautions for sun protection and specific product recommendations, including natural supplements, all of which I still swear by and share with folks years later. He is a technical master, no question. Many people now don’t realize anything even happened to me and for that I am grateful. But more important to me is his bedside manner. I am eternally grateful to him for the compassion with which he treated me at a potentially devastating time. Thank you, Dr. Patel. Truly.
