I never even got back to see the doctor. The reception staff was incredibly rude to me. I will never be back, and I hope word-of-mouth will make sure none of my friends ever go to him. Nobody deserves to be treated the way I was treated.

I was scheduled for a tummy tuck and put down my deposit and the very next day I had a career oportunity that came up so i called to cancel. A few months past and I called back in regards to my deposit to let them know I wouldn't be doing a tummy tuck but was interested in other services to put that money towards. I was told that was fine and i could do that. Well life got busy and 18 months past so I called back to inquire about using that money towards another service and the women i spoke with on the phone said I'm out that money. I let her know I was unhappy about that and in the future when I am able to have my tummy tuck I will not go there. Her reply was simply "that's fine" and hung up! Not the quality customer service you would expect from an establishment like that.

Dr. Cherny did an upper blepharoplasty on me. I am so very pleased with this, it has taken at least 10 years off of my looks. Being a grandma, and looking much younger than I truly am is an awesome feeling. His staff was great to me throughout the entire procedure. Surgery is scary but Brenda and Niki made it a breeze. Dr. Chernys bedside manner was the best I have ever had from any physician. He explained exactly what he would do, and it turned out even bettert than I anticipated. Looking forward to many more procedures with Dr. Cherny and his staff soon. I would highly recommend him to anyone that desires an awesome look.

I've been to heartland plastic surgery in Des Moines multiple times for various treatments and procedures, and they are amazing! I have no complaints whatsoever. The staff are great. They provide a fun but professional environment with excellent services. And Dr Cherny is a master at what he does! Would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone! I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

I nearly died from a suture infection because of an allergy to the stitches and Dr. C's reluctance to address it. I went back for several post-surgicalpostvisuts before he ackniacknowlthere was something wrong After months of physical healing and depression he went in to fix the horrific scarring and lopsided breast and ended up using THE SAME SUTURE. This set me into another round of scarring and Infection. Clearly Dr. C didn't listen to me as I kept telling him something was seriously wrong. My family wanted me to sue, but I felt so blessed that after several months of a dire physical state and depression I finally recovered (physically) that I just wanted to stay as far from that man as possible. Two stars because the service itself was fine but I will not be returning. Horrible communication & treated like just another customer. A mixup on their end wasted a large chunk of money and they couldn't be bothered to correct it. The esthetician told me to wait "at least a month" to come back in and use the rest of my product (even though I stated multiple times that I was fine doing it all in that appointment) & insisted she would have it waiting for me. I waited and made an appointment a little over a month later. She let me make the appointment, came to the waiting room that afternoon and told me that whoops, she had thrown it out. They offered nothing in return. Wasted my time and money and then had the nerve to tell me to just "watch for another special". I don't need a special- I need you to honor what I paid for originally or CALL me to ask me to come in before throwing out what I paid for. At the very least, call me and tell me not to come in. Very unimpressed with the lack of communication and professionalism.

Wanted me to prepay over the phone to make an appointment which I didn’t have to do for their specials before. Also wouldn’t let me use my credit for that visit. Receptionist was not friendly.

The nurse and doctor were pleasant. However, be prepared to wait over an hour to be seen! Even with an appointment, I have yet to be seen anywhere near my scheduled time. The usual wait has been an hour and it’s unprofessional. I won’t be coming back and I don’t recommend them.

Dr. Cherney is an outstanding physician!! For over two years I have suffered with a severely damaged finger on my right hand. I had chronic pain and limited use. I had Dr. Cherney address my problem. I can now use that hand and it is pain free! I highly recommend Dr. Cherney to anyone needing reconstructive surgery.
