They do not explain anything throughly. My daughter has been waiting to go on Accutane for over four months now. They do not tell you what time frames you need to get bloodwork in by. They are consistently inconsistent. It feels like an assembly line with care. Extremely disappointed.

Dana Novak

I wish I could give them ZERO stars.

Today was the day I finally took the big plunge and recieved some injections into my forehead. Beth was very curtious, professional and friendly. Which made myself feel more comfortable with the decision to recieve botox as I am approaching 40. Nick is who I recieved the treatment from was genuinely fantastic at what he does. There was NO wait and the reception desk and the whole facility was very clean! Thank you for such a wonderful experience. #1

Dr. Bielinski is my favorite dermatologist. I am beyond shocked about the mediocre reviews for him on here. I have crazy skin issues and have been to dermatologists all over the country, and he has been amazing in helping me with all my skin concerns. I have been an athlete all my life and didn't realize I had athletes foot for the last 20 years until I went to him. My itchy feet are no longer a problem, thank goodness. In addition I am allergic to sunscreen and he has helped me find the perfect products that I can use without becoming an inflamed mess. Being a sun baby from Florida, this has been a lifesaver for me! Lastly, his skin products are great. I will most likely use 2 of his face washes for the rest of my life. They are very light and great for my light acne issues. I swear by these face washes. The everyday face wash called knockout suds is great for makeup removal too so you don't need any other removal product, very low maintenance. The other one I have been using is the exfoliater (I forget the name). It makes your skin super soft. To sum up, I recommend Dr Bielinski for all your skincare needs. He is obviously a family man who cares for each of his patients.

What a joke! Called for an early appointment original appointment was 11:30. Told a 9:30 was available . Arrived on time, checked in and waited, and waited, and waited for 2 hours until I told them I was leaving. Everyone that came in after me was taken back and left, even a gentleman who came in over an hour after me with a cancelled appointment with the same dr was given an 11:15 with the same dr. He was taken back before 11:00. I checked 3 separate times to find out what the hold up was. Was given 3 different excuses . We always run an hour late ( not told that when I called) oh, just cleaning the room up, oh had an emergency...I would never ever recommend this place..what a waste of time, both because it was over two weeks for an appointment's and my two hours of waiting! Would give 0 stars if I could!

The location is beautiful. I saw Dr. Beikinski, and he was nice. The two biggest complaints I have are 1. The front desk staff was very rude and made me feel stupid about asking questions as if I was an inconvenience to them. 2. They require a credit card to keep on file which is fine. However, they say SkinMD won't charge the card until they get permission from you post visit. They charged my charges for the full amount anyway. Adrianna that answered the phone was the only polite front desk staff member that I have encountered thus far. My father went here and had the same experience. Also, expect to wait for your appointment. The nurse I had was nice.

I mistakenly went to see Dr. Gandhi thinking this was a Doctors office, I had three concerns one was correctly diagnosed but the only treatment offered was their own expensive line of product she basically refused to actually prescribe something at the pharmacy. The 2nd was an actual condition that was treatable with over the counter medications but she failed to diagnosis it her medical advice was to use udder cream and get a pedicure oh and I could try Nair um OK? Thanks to my my regular Dr I now have the proper medicine I should have started there. The 3rd concern wasn't really addressed since I was so freaked out that my Dr barely glanced at my feet and said get a pedicure. It's a very nice place but if you're looking for medical advice I would skip it. It's like going to a five star restaurant and finding a roach in your soup. I should have ran for the door when they required that I keep my credit card on file and will not notify me before they charge my card for the difference in what my insurance covers or what that charge may be. I guess people were refusing to pay for substandard medical advice

I saw Dr. Welsch. He treated me very well and gave me insight into my condition no other dermatologist could. 10/10. I am definitely coming back.

So I'm a medical professional myself, and I have to say this place is a joke. I waited over an hour past my appointment time (why??) and I was offered no apology, no explanation, and while staff wasn't rude.. they weren't exactly nice either. Dr. Belinsky was ok, I guess, but his "assistant" barely introduced himself, and was very lackluster. I went there to have my moles looked at and for options for having them removed. I felt rushed, I did not feel as if they did a thorough job looking at them, and the ones he did remove, he didn't even fully remove them. I'm hoping they come back negative so I don't have to deal with these clowns anymore.. They "forgot" to give me the antibiotic cream to put on my wounds and quoted me a price of $300/mole for the remaining ones. If I choose to have the rest "cosmetically" removed, you better believe I will be using people I know that do it correctly, with more compassion and for far less money. Unless you have no other choice, as I didn't due to an HMO, please do waste your time and money here.

I would not recommend Skin Md to anyone! First I had to wait over an hour for my appointment so I had to reschedule. Then when I came back, they had no idea why I was there. Then when they figured it out, someone finally came in to tell me. But the biggest problem was with the outcome of a procedure. Dr. Bielinski performed a procedure on my spider veins which did nothing in my opinion then tried to say it looked a little better. When I disagree with him he simply said ok, turned to the assistant and said "what's your name " will take care of you and walked out of the room. So disappointed!!!

I have been going to Dr Keane/Skin MD for almost 10 years. Never an issue. Over the last few years, this place has changed considerably. And not for the better. The new docs run it as a fast track. I have history of skin cancer and their 'skin checks' are not at all comprehensive. I just went to another derm practice and for the first time had a full body check including my scalp. this was never done at skin MD. A big issue is unlicensed medical assistants are running the place and dispensing medical advice over the phone and in person. Most not correct! NO,..Muciprocin is NOT the same thing as Vaseline.... The doctors will not talk to you due to no 'time'. So I moved on...so should you

I had my first visit 2017 nurse was very curt! PA was no help gave me prescription for shampoo $128.00 Smampoo made condition worse! Second appointment PA said that didn’t work try this second prescription was a lotion burned and made itching worse! Third and last ever appointment asked Specifically to see a doctor had to wait weeks because I requested to see Doctor! Saw doctor and he was rushed had assistant take a picture of my Scalp Psoriasis! Gave me a generous 1oz sample bottle of lotion and out the door! No one ever mentioned diet! After 3 fruitless visits! I watched several you tube videos on Scalp Psoriasis, changed my diet and bought an AloeVera leaf for $1.69 at Pete's produce ! Psoriasis is 90% better almost gone! AleoVera rubbed on scalp and eliminating foods that cause Psoriasis works!

I have been going to this practice for 12 years. I initially saw doctors in Oak Lawn and sometimes in Frankfort. When they moved to Orland (and their shinny new building), I immediately noticed changes that were frustrating. More than anything - they are concerned with making money, rather than the health and welfare of their patients. They require patients to be seen every 2-3 months, even when they are doing well on a basic prescription. On the surface this may not seem like a big deal, but for those of us with busy lives, the last thing we need is another appointment where we wait for 30-60 minutes, see the doctor for 2 minutes, and be sent home with the same refill prescription every 8 weeks! This is something that could easily be handled by phone or email. But, they don't make money by phone/email. They have found every possible way to milk the insurance system and their patients' wallets. The high turnover of staff at this practice should also be a big red flag. I only stayed with the practice for this long because I liked the PA I was seeing (4th one in 12 years) - I haven't seen one of their physicians in years. Today, I learned my PA has left and they won't refill a prescription until I am seen by yet another new physician or PA. Please save yourself the time, aggravation, and headaches so many of us have gone through. I really believe someone should file a complaint with the BBB, insurance providers, and/or their accrediting agency.

Eddie Daniel

Staff is great. Doctors are great. Doesn't look like they get enough good reviews for the work they perform and it looks as if the people who have bad experiences come here and make it look worse than what it is.

John M

My appointment was at 9:45am. I finally saw Dr. Bielinski at 11:05am. I e-mailed the office expressing my concerns and have not been contacted back. One hour and 20 minutes is an excessive amount of time to wait for the doctor to spend 5 minutes with me.

tami bates

The front desk staff and gals who answer the phones are rude and don't seem to want to help you. On more than one occasion I have called with questions or requests and I end up being frustrated at the way I'm treated. I love my doctor there and that is the only reason I'm still going there.

Cher G.

My daughter recently had a visit with Dr. John Rachel and then had him perform her surgery. I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with Dr. Rachel, his staff (especially Alicia & Jenny) and the whole experience. When we went for our initial consulation Dr. Rachel took his time (over 30 mins) examining her and answering all of her questions. The staff was wonderful before, during her surgery day and their follow-up. Dr. Rachel not only gave us his personal cell phone number but he had his assistant Alicia also check with us. Alicia was so caring and went above and beyond with the level of service. I will be visiting Dr. Rachel myself in the very near future. He does impeccable work and his bedside manner is caring and very precise. I appreciate that.

Gloria Schultz

Love Nicholas Borchers! He listens and truly enjoys his job and was extremely knowledgeable and definitely is there to help the patient resolve their issues.

Brett Lyons

The place requires you to have a credit card on file ahead of time, so they can overcharge you ridiculous amounts, including things like a "new patient fee". But at least the front desk made me wait 30 minutes past my appointment time to finally be seen, so that's cool. The doctor herself was nice but after receiving my bill from them, I have zero interest in continuing appointments with Skin MD.

Marian Reidy

Saw Beth today she's GREAT explains everything, makes it a comfortable experious will definetly be going back

Ginger K

I have been here several times within the last year. Dr. Beilinski was wonderful towards me and took very good care of me. The surgeries had great outcomes. Nick is great at being aggressive in preventing these surgeries again. I would definetly recommend!

Jennifer M

Beautiful facility, unfortunately the patient care has drastically declined over the years. The office staff has a terrible rapport and concern for patients but they will love your credit card not to mention that there is constant turnover with the office staff as well and extremely poor reviews on Glassdoor from previous employees. In addition, the wait times are terrible! We were at Dr. Bielinski's office once a month for 6 months and each time, we had to wait 1-2 hours for our appointment! Their scheduling system needs to be revised! Patients with scheduled appointments should NOT have to consistently wait 1-2 hours to be seen by the doctor or nurse. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Bielinski for a very long time and we are so sorry to see that his office cares more about billing procedures than patient care and concern. When he had his old office in Frankfort, the patient care was excellent. However, since he has opened his new, beautiful building in Orland, his patient care has steadily declined. Let me not forget to mention the fact that the TV in the waiting room constantly plays plastic surgical procedures to push cosmetic and non-medical procedures that are most likely not covered by insurance. Terrible! I have never been to any other doctor's offices that would do something like that. Most doctor's offices provide a TV for patient entertainment while waiting which further underscores the fact that they care more about money than their patients. Fancy buildings and offices do not make a doctor's office great. It's the doctors and staff and ability to care and understand patients that make a doctor's office exceptional. This facility has a lot to learn about patient care!

Kari Gill

PATIENT BEWARE! This was the worst medical office I have ever been to. The doctors are not knowledgeable, their front desk staff is unfriendly and if you need to call in for assistance, you will be on hold for at least an hour. I had an allergic reaction to a prescription and I was advised by the PA to continue using it and if I had the same reaction in a month, they would consider something else. I highly recommend going anywhere else, Skin MD in Orland Park is a joke.

Ida Coelho

This office the best! I loved every minute of my time there. Dr. Bielinski was thorough and prompt. My concerns were handled efficiently and I was given the correct treatment.

I had an excellent experience on my last and first visit at skin MD, Dr. Welsh I believe answered my questions and addressed all my concerns. I just had a deep facial as well yesterday that was excellent. Kara is an awesome esthetician. My skin already looks better. I was offered a full body exam to which I declined since I had one very recent. The doctor visit was brief 10-15 min as expected, Drs are busy creatures with jammed schedules, so I don't know what some of reviews are complaining about it. It can feel intimidating to have your credit card on file, but lets face it. Most of procedures done here unless you have cancer or some "real condition" are consider cosmetic. Therefore not covered by insurance, so you will have to pay for it. Again, I don't see securing payment for something you will be responsible a terrible sin. Of course I do want to be informed of prices and costs prior, which so far I have. You should always ask, take some responsibility, don't sit silent in a chair and let someone perform a procedure without asking the obvious questions: how much it cost ? does my insurance cover this?. Consider Drs time and have 2-3 questions that really are important, Drs don't care about what you read on google, keep it concise you don't need to tell a whole story. Also know who to ask what? thats right, what type of skin do I have and what type of make up should I use? or what moisturizer is good? are probably better questions to a esthetician not the doctor, it seems obvious, but some people don't get that. When I meet my doctor I usually say doc I have 3 concerns, this rash on my face, this mole, this brown spots, I have hx of ... dz and on ... meds,. I never left without an answer, but I use the time wisely and go straight to the point. Anyways, I would give 5 stars but they send it my prescription to the wrong pharmacy, which they have corrected promptly.

I had my role removal here and I saw the aesthetician (sp?) for my first facial about six months ago. I couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome of my skin and the removal was painless. I went to look up the phone number here and noticed the amount of negative reviews, and felt compelled to write about my simple, painless, and very positive experience.

JayJay

DO NOT GO HERE! I went to see Dr.Welsch for a wart removal and would have been better off chopping it off myself! 1. For a small wart removal they charged my insurance $1,445 (this place does tests and lab work without your permission). 2. Doctor was completely impersonal. 3. Doesn't spend enough time with patients. He left the room before telling me how to take care of the area of skin after the wart removal. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Is this is a doctor's office or a drive-through minute clinic?

Leticia Montoya

Terrible place to go and work for very un professional from the staff to the hr .they need to clean house staff very rude will never recommend anybody there

Kayla Burnett

The doctor I saw came in the room and asked the assistant what insurance I had. This was shocking for me. The moment he found out what insurance I had he stopped paying attention to what I had to say. He basically ignored my concerns. Looked over my body prescribed some meds. And left he was in and out within 10 minutes. I had no idea what was going on with my skin, none of my concerns were addressed. The medical assistant who was also in the room must've saw the utter shock written across my face because he gave a bit of insite as to what could be the cause of my skin problem. They told me to come back on 6 months.... I never went back.

Ethan Dougherty

Horrible treatment there. My eyes swelled for a month from my forehead botox treatments & they afforded me no privacy while explaining & they also tried to keep my payment for the next appointment I couldn't proceed with due to the swelling! As IF I was going back there. Never!

There are other dermatologists in the area. Dont be fooled by this fancy, pretty building. These doctors dont care and have been quite rude in my experience. The rudeness starts right at the front desk!!

Lori Harada

Dr. Bielinski and his team are awesome! They all have been very helpful and friend. I highly recommend the Orland Park office for any derm work needed. I especially like the SkinMD products.

REALLY REALLY wish I would have read these reviews BEFORE I went there. Billing, customer service, my DIAGNOSIS .... all below a one star. It's awful. I'm not even going to go into the dishonesty of this place, or how extremely disappointed I am. The person that called them a thief, is absolutely on point. I will never go here again ... that statement alone should be enough.

Diane Schafer

The doctor was great, diagnosed me perfectly but make sure you have your prescription on paper, not sent to drug store because you will NEVER be able to get an answer or any action taken over the phone afterwards. SO FRUSTRATING!! I'm waiting 6 days and counting for my prescription, seriously, I could have come back, gotten it in writing, taken it to another state by now to get filled. Never again

Patient beware. This office cares about your money and does not care by what means they get it. I went there to get a wellness visit. Doctor said there was a couple of spots and took skin grafts. Doctor never explained that these would be added expenses and before I knew it I was being billed for this and that and lab work which I could not afford. It should have been explained to me that this was an added cost on top of my wellness visit and I should check what was covered by my insurance before proceeding. They rush you in and then rush you out without any clear explanation. There billing department just wishes you go away and forget about it. Lesson learned. My advice to you is to find an office that will give you the courtesy and explain the costs involved before proceeding.

Caution. My sister went to this practice. She was treated rudely and ended up with a bacterial infection that another doctor diagnosed and treated. She will never return.

Although my skin has gotten significantly better it wasn't with the help of my doctor. I'd always have to wait an hour or longer before meeting my doctor who would only stay for 15 min with me and every time I had questions or concerns it'd go in through one ear and out the other. It was like talking to a wall if I'm being honest, I still have the same question from when I first started there way back in December and still he has been unable go answer it or simply ignore

This was my first time coming to the med spa for a mole removal. I saw Jessica Petreski PA-C and she was very professional and helpful in making any decisions. She made me feel very comfortable in the removal process and was very quick. I Will most definitely recommend Jessica Petreski PA and the spa to friends and family and will be back for more services that they offer.

C Meraz

Terrible scheduling habits and I think the receptionists need retraining. Cancelled and walked out after waiting 45 minutes past my appt time, along with a couple of other people. Walked in well before my appt time and was never told of any possible delays. When i asked why i hadnt been called, was told, it would be yet another 30 minutes, "its always busy on mondays, sorry" same phrase was repeated by all 3! A few times each. I was getting a refund receipt and they had the nerve to ask what day would I like to reschedule for? Won't be coming back, that's for sure.

Leroy McCormick

Couldn't be happier with Dr. Bielinski and Nick. Entire staff and facility exceed expectations.

Called for annual appointment. Was there the previous year and appointment was over 90 minutes late but figured they had a bad day. Today waited 8 minutes for operator to pick up and then they disconnected me. Called back, another 9 minutes. Started reading through these reviews...no thanks. I'll call an office who knows how to answer the phone and schedule an appointment.

L45 Henchel

I found the check in process quick and painless, the wait to see the doctor short and the doctor and staff very kind and thoughtfil.

I called after I saw they did pediatric cases as well. I informed the person on the phone the age of my child and location of what needed removal. I was guaranteed they treated kids that age. I arrived to the appointment paid the copay and then was seen by the nurse practitioner and then was told they don’t offer services on children that age. I asked for my copay back since I was misled. Was told I could get it credited back. Never happened and now no one will call back and they leave me on hold for long periods in time. If I was told they didn’t take pediatrics I would have never made the appointment not a big deal. These people are terrible at customer service and apparently thief’s. Can’t wait to get my EOB and see if they charged my insurance.

Paige Hedderman

I'm currently in school to become an Esthetician, I came to get a body check and help with my acne. Dr. Mona Gandhi was my doctor and I was very excited to have a female doctor I felt I could chat with and ask all the questions I pleased. Not the case. She completely avoided all of my questions and jumped straight to my body check, removing one mole and let her, very sweet, assistant tell me how I should be taking care of it after the procedure. I then tried to ask my questions about my skin, when she started to tell me she doesn't understand or believe in the Esthetics world and couldn't help me with my questions on my concerns, home care regimins or makeup. She put me on some Ointments- where I can no longer wax or take part in facials and things at school (which is exactly what I asked not too happen.) and with that she left the room. Leaving the assistant to do all the important parts of her job. I left confused at what just happen in those only, 15 minutes!! I now have just gotten the product in the mail and had too learn how to use it by reading up on it myself! 3 days of using it and I look like a burn victim. I have way worse acne before and I am overly red and irritated and mortified with the career I am supposed to be showing myself in. It is way more noticable then the mere teen acne that was surfacing my face before. I am super disappointed with my experience and I am very hesitant at going back to even get my face relooked at.

Mike Roberts

Saw John Keane, MD. about some skin blemishes on my face. Gave me approx. five (5) minutes - didn't listen to me - gave me a cursory, whole -body skin exam and told me my skin was fine! I wanted to have the facial blemishes removed or lessened! He kept saying these blemishes occur with age and there's nothing that can be done! With all the advances in cosmetic dermatology - nothing can be done? Guy is old, arrogant and not interested in communicating with patients. Staff was very unfriendly impersonal and robotic. I don't know about the other SkinMD doctors and clinicians - but I won't be going back. Very unpleasant, rushed experience. Life's too short to deal with jerks.

Was seen today in the office and was very happy with my service. Ashley R. Was great to talk to made me Very comfortable with my condition. Dr Nicholas Borchers was just as awesome.Great feel when I was in the office Very satisfied

I have been taking my son to Skin MD on and off for years. Recently, we have been having problems getting in touch with the staff regarding prescription refills. Last week, I had to call 5 times for a refill. Nobody called me back. I finally got in touch with someone and the prescription turned out to be $650.00 for a tube of cream. I called back and they were supposed to send a similar more affordable prescription in and no one called me back. I called back a week later and now they are telling me I have to bring my son in instead of calling something in so they can charge us again. Also, a few of the doctors that previously worked there, left Skin MD. I guess I know why. Also, the wait time is ridiculous. I would never go back there again. Now have to start all over again with a new dermatologist. Thanks Skin MD

Anthony Stephens

Unable to cancel appointment on phone. Perpetual recorded message. Will try US mail.

I’ve been going to SkinMD for over 2 years now over at their Orland Park location. I just recently visited their new Evergreen Park location and let me just tell you - it was a great experience! The front desk staff were very friendly and the nursing staff & PA Borchers were not only knowledgable, but also very caring and attentive to my needs (and, I have a boat load!). Overall (and as always), my visit was more than top notch. I appreciate when medical staff don’t try to rush through appointments even when they are behind - this office has this very motto and genuinely cares for their patients. Thank you, SkinMD!

Only because I can't give negative stars. If you have an actual medical condition, DO NOT GO HERE. They misdiagnosed my husband's Shingles. Their "doctor" gave him antibiotics. He went back 2 days later and got antivirals from the PA, because we asked for them. If you know about Shingles, you have to start the antivirals ASAP. They delayed it over 48 hours. And it was on his face. They never said one word about going to an ophthalmologist. Everything you read about Shingles says if it is on your face, it can get in your eyes and you can lose your vision! These idiots didn't say it. We ended up in the ER because of their incompetence! The REAL doctors in the ER gave steroids and within 12 hours, it subsided. When we called about being charged the copay for both visits, the office manager blamed it on the insurance company. That is a LIE because I called the insurance company. SHORT STORY: IF YOU HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION, DO NOT GO HERE. If you want botox or a duck lip, it might be OK. We will never forget how these uncaring inept doctors cost us so much money and put my husband's eyesight at risk. Inexcusable. STAY AWAY!! Never again.

Charles Penders

If I could give them less than 1 star I would! They do not care about patients!! Went on saw the esthetician and she immediately started telling about produces and products without even examining my skin. Started spewing out pricing and didn't even inquire on what I have already tried. One I informed her I tried all the things she recommended she rudely stated that we need to accept some things we can't change! Absolutely rude and ignorant of her. She clearly just wanted to get me to spend hundreds of dollars for nothing. She has absolutely nothing to provide and didn't even seem to care. Worst place ever beware.

Laura Duckett

Such a great experience! I highly recommend seeing Nicholas Borchers, PA-C, MMS. He is meticulous during treatment to reduce the chance of any scarring at all! I could not be more thankful!

Paige Vanderbok

I went here several years ago and I wish I knew at the time about the horrible reviews this place has, because they definitely live up to it! I use to see Dr. Bellinski. I had a mole removed from my back that wasn't supposed to scar up as much as it did. And it didn't heal properly. I also developed keloid scars all over post-surgery, they used a treatment and it only made the keloids WORSE. I live with keloids all over my shoulders today because of their botched medical practices. They did not disclose anything to me about keloid scars or the potential of what their steroid shots can do. I also developed eczema and they gave me a topical ointment to treat it. After I ran out of ointment I didn't have the time or money to go see the doctor again to get more, and I completely broke out in a rash since my skin became heavily dependent on the ointment. It had steroids in it, and now I see commercials on TV that like to emphasize their topical eczema product is "steroid-free". The practices they do here will not cure your issues, they will treat them to make you dependent on them. So you spend more money and have more problems. I wonder if I have all of my skin problems because of going here. This place is horrible and I hope it shuts down.
