I went there as a child from the age 11 to 21. It was the most amazing experience. The doctor's and staff were awesome. I went there even after I had my first child. Dr. Vogel was my doctor I think of him often. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I am now 43 and have had 2 complete hip replacements. Still doing well. Thank you Shriner's all the help.

It's been a long time since I came here I am 30 now I started coming here about the age of 18 months until I was 18 the doctors here made the quality of my life in childhood and life period better then it would have without seeing them from 18months till i was 10 I had 13 surgeries The final one being amputating my foot which granite was what are the other doctors were saying everywhere else but they at least tried to save my leg then just giving up from the beginning and make me learn a lot of stuff I meet some great people from a very young age I need sleep or have we made me a better person giving me some life lessons and Are some great qualities in life I love this a lot and am so thankful for this place The doctor I had nurses and all of the other doctors and nurses that have and do work better they do amazing work Thankful to my grandparents For sponsoring me And being in a position to donate all the money they did to sponsor other children that aren't as fortunate THANKS SHRINERS FOR EVERYRHING YOU YOU YOU FOR PEOPLE

I absolutely love this hospital. Everyone, and I mean everyone from the security guards to the doctors are extremely nice and helpful. I was terrified when I first had to bring my newborn son to the hospital because he was born with nerve damage. My son is now six years old and we still go to Shriner's Hospital. They have been there with us every step of the way, and even paid for us to fly to a Shriner's hospital in Philadelphia where my son had to have surgery. Seriously, the best hospital.

Shriners hospital is great. They have a great staff.. i went their as a kid to have a few surgeries on my legs. I remember they had a contest and I won it. I got to ride in a limo and been on their newspaper and a magazine. Someday I wanna take my son their. He has dwarfism and needs some leg surgeries. But shriners hospital is great..

My son and I both think this is the best of the best anywhere. We were treated with the utmost care, compassion, respect, and excellence. Walking the halls after surgery we were greeted with smiles and by name. Even the custodian said hello to my son by name. This goes beyond just a surgery by skilled hands,it is a place where the entire staff is caring and loving.

Shriners hospital has ruined my life by misdiagnosing my condition. They diagnosed me with degenerative disc disease of the cervical spine. My true diagnosis is klippel-feil syndrome, i have dug my self in a hole pursuing treatments for degenerative disc disease only to find out that shriners was wrong and i owe thousands in doctor bills i will never beable to pay off

We have the most amazing memories of our many stays at Shriner's in SC and Chicago. They are great to family's when they are in need of kindness and WOW how amazing of a place for a child that are undergoing treatment of any kind. My daughter , my family and I where so happy with all my daughters care there. She loves showing off there play area to her siblings when they tag along for her appointments. The Shriner's drivers are also great to all they meet and driver to there appointments. This place has 1000% changed my child's quality of life.

This is not a re hospital we thought. Child was referred there for emergency late night. Not only were they closed with no doctor on duty as a nurse who picked up told us on the phone, the place looked un clean, dark and gloomy. Wasted - Go presence resurrection... dont waste your time.

This is the best place to take your child. They give you soooo much support. Outpatient or Inpatient care, your child is given the best care and attention. I watched the children that didn't have a parent staying with them and they were given the same attention as the other children. This group of medical professionals From Dr. Peter Smith, who is amazing to all staff members, I give the highest respect and gratitude. My child and my family were so blessed to have been sent to Shriners for my son's OI care.

Shriners Hospital is a great place to take your child. My son loves to go there! Dr Altiok is very thoughtful and professional. Everybody is very nice and helpful. Parking is simple and free. This is an awesome place. The staff is 2nd to none. The cleaning staff, cooking staff, nurses, Doctors and the office staff are great. If they have any issues among themselves, it is NEVER shown in the eyes of the parents and children that are in their care. My son has OI and under the watchful eyes of Dr. Peter Smith, Nurse Jennifer Joy, Therapist Joe, and social worker with the one of a kind laugh Laurie Mc Dena , He has thrived well beyond my expectations and with their help I got peace of mind and he got more and more self reliant. This is the only Hospital I have ever left my son alone and can say he was well cared for in my presence and while I was away. I was a patient at the Chicago Shriners Hospital in Oct of 1981 when I was 12 yrs old. I had scoliosis and had to have major back surgery. At 12 that can be a pretty scary thing to go through. My stay at the hospital was amazing. From what I remember all the staff; Dr's, nurses and volunteers were great with taking care of me. If it weren't for the Shriners, I wouldn't be here today. I will definitely tell anyone who has a child in need of surgery or special care about the Shriners Hospitals and the amazing work they do! Thank you for all you do and the care that was given to me so many years ago. God Bless you all!

Amazing!!! This was our home away from home off & on for many years. The staff always went above & beyond to make a horrible situation liveable. We have many fond memories of everyone there. The care was excellent & the medical staff was at the cutting edge. My eldest daughter became a physician as of a result of some of her experiences there with my youngest daughter.
