How much stress l had to deal with just to get things schedule it's not worth it Loren is a good surgeon but to customer service side sucks and is the worst that I've ever seen

I recently had GRS by Dr. Schechter and the surgical team at Weiss Memorial Hospital. I had little to no issues scheduling the surgery and the surgery itself went well. The team at Weiss Memorial were just fantastic. I have my follow up appointment soon. Overall, it has been a good experience.

Read this man's reviews on RadRemedies. People have had bad experiences with him and have called him sadistic and a scammer. He has malpractice allegations. I would highly advise no one to go through any transition surgery with him and possibly even consider that his positive reviews are fake.

I’ve not seen this doctor but I want to state some very important points : 1. There are no pictures of his work on his website ? 2. There is hardly any information on his site regarding how he preforms his SRS / GRS surgeries ? 3. How can a surgeon be rated so highly when he does not have hardly any information on such an invasive surgery? 4. Why would you see a surgeon for such an important surgery where again there’s hardly any information on his website? 6. Most surgeons who don’t have pictures or information on there websites are hiding something I would never recommend a surgeon like this, very unprofessional.

My boyfriend has had his consultation rescheduled in LESS THAN 2 WEEKS NOTICE, TWICE NOW. Do they care? Not at all. Not that we spent money on flights and hotels and had to pay hundreds in cancellation fees TWICE NOW, or that his spirit is diminishing day by day. Dr schecter says its more than just the money, but i dont buy it. Get your priorities straight and stop calling off Dr schecter. This is your job and you're causing the trans suicide rate to raise by the day

I immediately felt comfortable at my consult with Dr. Schechter at the beginning if May and knew I wanted him as my surgeon. His staff was very helpful and responsive to my questions. Dr. Schechter visited me each day I was in hospital. I am very happy with the results of my surgery and would recommend him highly.

I would love to give 5 stars but at this point It's only 4. First the positive: I have had two consultations with Dr Schechter for some facial corrective surgeries. Each has gone well with professionalism and efficiency. For my last appointment I arrived a little early (I have a 2 hour drive through Chicago traffic, so I plan on being there 30 minutes early just in case) and they took me early. I actually left shortly after the appointment time. Thank you very much. I also like their portal system in which they post a VERY detailed description of what we discussed with options and risks. This is important because by the next morning I don't remember everything, even taking my own notes. Now the not so good...Communications. I was told that things would happen "in a week or two" then I don't hear anything for four weeks, then phone tag, then procedures were not set up etc. He's moved into a new group/company and everything is quite ready. My timing apparently is bad. If I did this a year ago or a year from now things might be smoother. But maybe I'm blazing new trails for the work I'm having done so the next person in line won't have the same difficulties. I'll update my rating after everything is complete; hopefully it will be before the end of the year.
