I am extremely disappointed with my poor results and especially with Dr. Anil R. Shah's apathetic bedside manners. I'm currently seeking therapy because I can't bear to look at myself in the mirror anymore, these results are nauseating. Dr. Anil R Shah keeps on insisting on doing all these "kenalog" injections but I just cant see how an injection will straighten my nose or crooked nostrils (I never had them before he touched my nose). I will never recommend this doctor based on my negligent results.

What I witnessed yesterday was horrific! I agreed to give my friend a ride for her short revision procedure and spent my entire day in that office. I saw a medicated patient fall and us in the waiting area we’re fortunately there to assist her up. We NEVER saw Dr. Shah come out to check on her. With all of my waiting time I found out most people were there to have him try to fix work he’s already done! This is horrible for a surgeon. We could hear the patient in the next room crying about his er visits after his surgery last week and he was on his way back to the er! His wife was hysterically crying. The staff continued on as if it is a normal occurrence.

Affordable Pro Transport

I had my rhinoplasty with Dr. Shah in 2014 and my nose still appeared too big on my face and uneven. I was coming in for all the appointments, taken all the free but yet painful shots Into my nose and waited a year because he said it will go down and even if I wanted a revision I need to wait 12 months. 2015 Nothing really happened my nose was still big So I consulted him about a revision and finally made it in 2017, he actually said it himself: like oh the nose is too big and this is uneven and that I need alar and rasp, he could finally see after 3 years..all those shots are not making my nose smaller... (How can you have someone undergo a 1 hour surgery, and do pretty much nothing, where my nose still looks huge the second I see it post op, but yet you believe these little shots will make the magic of making the nose smaller?) Now about RASP and ALAR : I didn’t know what those are but he assured me it’s a quick procedure done without anesthesia only a numbing shot into your nose, some medication to keep you calm and relaxed like Valium and pain killers. Even his nurse said it’s not a big deal everyone gets it done. I searched online and was scared what alar and rasp really is, so called the office and said I want it done by being put to sleep. They said all the patients who had it prior to me, were all happy etc. and nobody needed anesthesiologist. She said with the experience they have, it’s ok and the medication works so there is no pain or discomfort. So I was like ok...but very very scared. Funny because it would have costed me only a 30 minute of an anesthesiologist which she quoted $700 I believe. I went through hell. The shaving of the bone is still in my mind until this day. Google the ALAR and RASP and see what that really is. This should be illegal to do without anesthesiologist. It’s on your face and ok you don’t feel the pain but you hear your bones being shaved with a nail and the pressure is right there between your eyes... when I’m writing this I get a headache.. I should sue for trauma... but that’s not my point. So even after this horror revision my nose is still big and now it’s even more crooked than it was to begin with. It’s so bad I hate taking pictures. This nose was with me at the most important times of my life, wedding day and birth of my child..;( I hate pictures because you can easily tell, her nose is messed up. I will have to have revision but I’m scared if it won’t turn worse. Just a heads up don’t get your alar and rasp without being put to sleep. I think that’s horrible experience. Also don’t understand how Dr. Shah can be featured in TV, he has no compassion for his patients at ALL. He seems like a person without any feelings. How can you shave someone’s bone just like that (and each time he does this he tells his assistant to crank the music up so nobody can hear the noise but it’s right there it’s in your head). . But yet he said to me I don’t go out on NYE because there is a lot of drunk drivers and I’m scared they can run Into me. How precious is your life to you ha? I only went to him because he was the cheapest, from all the doctors I’ve gone to. No wonder my rhinoplasty turned out like this;( I think sometimes what if the nail went too far out because he was rushing through this obviously, you have the patient without general anesthesia and their nose will bleed and swell sooner that you know it so this takes like 5 minutes. What if he went too far and cut through to your scull or whatever is in there I mean Jeezzz this should be so illegal don’t you think ?

Yeah, I’d totally recommend this place if you want a nose that has an endless list of cosmetic and medical issues that weren’t even present before surgery. Followed by a doctor who dismisses any and all of your concerns, does a totally different (and horrible) outcome than his morphed after photos he shows you, then spends all of 2 minutes with you at follow up appointments because he already got his money so the fact that he botched your nose is your own problem now. So yeah, if that’s what you’re looking for, I 100% recommend. But if you’re looking for a doctor who does what he says, spends enough time with you (like maybe longer than a couple of minutes) to listen to any worries or concerns you have, and isn’t just in it for the money then doesn’t care - I would advise looking elsewhere.

I was surprised to see a few bad reviews here. I have had a great experience with Dr. Shah. I had my rhinoplasty done and I am very happy with the results. I was not very excited after I met doctor at my first consult. He is not trying to be your friend, he stays cool and just tells you what he can do. He is not a doctor who is going to talk you into doing anything. 6 months later I was back to his office because of seeing amazing results on my 2 friends who have done surgeries with Dr. Shah. He surely is professional and detailed in his job. My second consultation was much better, doctor took his time to answer all of my questions. Office staff is also great. Based on my experiences with Dr. Shah, I would describe him as a complete perfectionist. His eye is so particular that he will not compromise his vision to suit any whim. I've waited a few years to write this review, just to see if anything would get better like he insisted it would. But nope. 3 years later and I still have a completely botched nose. I have horrible alar retraction, a drooping tip, tip bossae and a hanging columella. Choosing this doctor is one of my biggest regrets. I had wanted a nose job for so long and when I met Dr. Shah, he acted so nice and seemed to genuinely understand what I wanted my nose to look like and told me it was achievable. I had only wanted my tip lifted and made a bit smaller, nothing too major. What I got was a pointy, uneven nose with a tip that droops even more now and nostrils that are so flared they just look deformed. At my follow-up appointments after surgery, I brought this up to him yet he kept insisting it was "just swelling" and injecting something (can't recall what the name was) into my nose that would bring the swelling down. Never worked. When I asked for a revision, his reply was literally, "well I'm happy with it and I think it looks good, so I think we should just leave it alone." I mean.. really? He's happy with it? It isn't his face or his money that was spent, it was mine. Now I have to spend so much more getting all this fixed. (oh and, it doesn't "look good" according to a couple of other surgeons who I've consulted with to do a revision. So it's not like it's only me noticing these extreme flaws.) Please think twice before choosing him. I wish I could go back and choose a different doctor, but lesson learned. (also, I'm not sure if it's possible to do so on here but; if you'd like to see pictures of my nose before surgery with him and what it looks like now after he botched it, feel free to contact me just to see that my review is no exaggeration.)

Dr. Shah and his staff have been very considerate and efficient. I had a rhino/septoplasty for functional and aesthetic reasons, and I am very pleased with the results in both aspects. They were not very great at submitting my insurance claim on time to my insursnce company, though - the company requires all claims two weeks in advance of the surgery, but Shah's office did not submit it until a week before, and only because I called a lot to ask them about it. This resulted in a lot of stress and a delayed surgery, however, everyone was very kind and the result was still A+.

Let me just start off by saying Dr Anil Shah is great! He actually cares to listen to what you have to say and what you need. I had to get my nose fixed because a previous unskilled surgeon messed up my breathing. He took his time explaining what is going to happen during the surgery and what I should expect. The morphs he creates gives you a great sense of hope, especially because he actually delivers those results. My healing time was barely anything and I was not even in pain at all. He is even doing laser scar removal for me because of a small scar that was left. The office is clean, good energy, and nice staff. Keep in mind he’s a face specialist.. definitely recommend him!

Listen everyone, there are no guarantees in plastic surgery and even the best surgeons can have a result that is less than perfect. Last year, I went to see Dr.Shah for a consultation. I waited a whole TWO hours in the waiting room. When they finally called my name he rushed me through his consultation, it practically took him 25 minutes! Wow! $100 down the drain just like that! I just believe that the surgeons should be the one to decide whether you are a good candidate for surgery. Anil Shah should have taken his time to answer all my questions without rushing me out the door. All I remember from the consultation is Anil Shah blowing his own horn about using "innovative and revolutionary" procedures and how he performs 400 nose jobs a year! I understand that plastic surgery is constantly evolving but most surgeons use the same basic techniques because they are proven safe and effective. I don't know something really fishy about this whole incident. I decided to have my surgery with another surgeon and i'm pleased to say that I am very happy with the results.

I underwent a hair restoration procedure about 6 months ago with Dr. Shah. I've waited to review to give adequate time to judge the procedure and Dr. Shah. To make a long story short, it worked! I had about 1200 hairs transplanted with the Artas robotic transplant system and I feel like even at 6 months, It was worth it - the cost, the time, etc - I would do it again without hesitation. Part of Dr. Shah's method involved platelet rich plasma injections at the transplant site, and my crown, which is also thinning out. This allowed better healing and slowing of dying follicles. The staff was excellent - Dr. Shah is one of a kind - he's not only extremely skilled, but he's down to earth, sensitive and approachable. I felt like he had my best interest in mind. I highly recommend Dr. Shah and the procedure itself. My main concerns were excessive scarring at the donor site, and survival of transplanted hairs. The Artas Robotic transplant machine is a marvel - I took pictures of the pre-placed transplant sites to estimate follicle survival post treatment and I honestly can't see any areas devoid of growing hair. I cut my hair at the donor site (in the back, above my neckline) down to a 2' clipper size and even if you try, you can't see any donor site scars. Anyone who is struggling as I did with hair loss - this procedure works. It is, in my opinion and after trying countless products, the only method worth your time. I don't have to wear hats anymore. I can look in the mirror and go outside with confidence. I love my hair again..

I'm hooked! I'm 34 years old never really took good care of my face till about a year ago when I realized my pores have gotten huge over the years of wearing full face makeup. I did a erbium laser in March and seen dramatic results from just one in the texture and my skin definitely plumped up I was considering filler in my smile lines and under my eyes but the erbium took care of that, I was kinda shocked. I did the reve peel in May and that was so-so results I definitely recommend the erbium laser though and will be back in fall. I really wanted to give a good review for Dr. Shah, but unfortunately, my nose looks worse after getting my rhinoplasty with him. I was just looking for a few tweaks and to shave down a small bump on the bridge, but now my nose is very noticeably crooked and the tip seems to “hook” down (lack of a better word), two things that were never present before my surgery with him. For the amount of money I spent, I’m extremely dissatisfied. It’s been 2 years, so not much is expected to change, and I’ll have to eventually get a revision. I’m sure he has happy patients, but I don’t think it’s fair for those patients to discredit those who are less than satisfied with their results like I’ve seen in some reviews. Just because you were happy with your results doesn’t give you the right to tell somebody else they’re overreacting or lying because they’re unhappy about theirs.

Joanna performed a PCA chemical peel on my skin and it has really made a huge difference in my skin's appearance. I will recommend Dr Shah to everyone and when I need any other procedures, I would not trust anyone else with facial surgery, he is extraordinary.

I would never recommend Dr. Shah. He is arrogant, condescending, and worst of all: a TERRIBLE surgeon. He was supposed to take 2mm off the tip of my wife's nose during a rhinoplasty. She met with him 3 times pre-surgery (including a chat with him minutes before the surgery as she was about to be sedated). Each time she was specific about not being aggressive, and doing what was discussed: minimal work on her tip, which she felt was drooping. After getting the surgical records months later, we learned he took 9mm off her tip... but also did other things to her nose, which she absolutely did not want, like shaving down her nasal bones, breaking her nose , de-projecitng it and narrowing her tip. What she wanted done was very minimal. What she got was drastic and awful. It doesn't go with her face at all. She is ethnic and she has a small upturned anglo-saxon nose now. Her end result looks nothing like the photoshopped images he provided and swore would be her final results. They talked about this 3 times pre-operatively, and we are bewildered as to how he could have gotten into surgery and done everything so wrongly. At times we have speculated he actually got her confused with another patient he was doing surgery on that day, because her results are so dramatically different from he said would be done. I mean, he claims to do a LOT of rhinoplasty. Its possible he got her chart confused, once she was anesthetized and a surgical drape was over her face, right? When she went back to Dr. Shah and expressed concern, and expressed grief over what he had done to her-- he had NO empathy. He offered no apology. He "gas lighted" her, telling her she looked great. When she explained she looked nothing like what they had talked about, he stated she "looked better." We were shocked. It was then that we realized: If he didn't mix up patients... he simply thinks he "knows better" than what the patient says they want. These are the only two explanations we can think of for his awful rhinoplasty. She went and got 2nd and 3rd opinions from two of Chicago's more acclaimed surgeons who both stated Dr. Shah had resected far too much of her septum and raised her tip significantly more than his "photoshop" images suggested he would have done. They also confirmed her nose had been broken, de-projected (to make it look smaller), and over-shaved. My wife now has to get a revision rhinoplasty with rib cartilage grafting, to fix this butcher's overly aggressive work. Even the incision he made on her nose is just awful. She is having to use silicone makeup to cover up the scar. Overall opinion of Dr. Shah's practice: His bedside manner is the worst. His arrogance is palpable as soon as you meet him. His office is chaos. It is run by 20 year old fangirls who all have the same nose he gave my wife. I suspect they work there for discounted botox, or some such fringe benefit. He is a BAD surgeon, who either did the wrong surgery on my wife, thinks he knows best, or is incapable of doing what he promises for lack of skill.... His reputation among other surgeons is terrible (we found this out too late). STAY AWAY.

I already love the results on the first night post opp. I know it'll be fully healed up to 1 year but wow he is awesome at what he does with the nose and I had a complex case. Have no fear Dr Anil shah is here lol. I'm so serious as a heart attack the man is great at what he does and is fairly priced compared to the outrageous prices I've seen at other facilities. In my humble opinion his work is so good that he should charge more than what he does. He's such a nice guy he probably makes it affordable for people on purpose. Keep up the great work doc see you in 7 days to remove the stent.

Terrible awful doctor, he sill over resect your nose and pinch your tip. look completely unnatural and will need a revision. STAY AWAY.

From the moment I met Dr. Shah, I knew that he has been the physician I have been searching for. My nasal structure has always bothered me, but I would never felt comfortable having any physician change it - until I met with Dr. Shah. His visions were parallel with mine and his direct manor to the approach left me with no further questions. A few weeks out, and I am already ecstatic with the results. There is not enough to say about his amazing staff either. They are prompt, informative, courteous and very patient with pre- and post-op visits. The staff is always working hard to be accommodating to very busy (and changing) schedules.

Ive been doing laser hair removal, im on my third treatment going to my forth this week. Ive seen a big differences in the past two treatment, my hair is almost gone!! Thanks to my aesthetician “Ranen Atieh” she is such a wonderful person and very professional, she always does her best. Dr. Anil shah is looking to have somebody like Ranen, I highly recommend them!! everybody is very professional I have friends that go there and my mother does different treatments with them and they love them.

I was very hesitant and scared leading up to surgery after reading the reviews posted on the internet about Dr. Shah. I told myself that there are probably always going to be unhappy customers and likely also people just out to sabotage. I was right. I had rhinoplasty and neck liposuction about 2 weeks ago and I could not be happier with the entire experience. I wanted to do this surgery my whole life and finally decided on Dr. Shah. Before I had the surgery, I told Dr. Shah what I wanted, which was a drastic change. He made no empty promises and explained that he may not be able to do exactly what I wanted. He did make me feel like he understood what I was going for and told me he would do his best to achieve it. He even met with me a second time, free of charge, to make sure we were on the same page. Before and after surgery, the staff from Dr. Shah's office was extremely helpful and nice. Heather, the scheduler, is one of the most amazing people at their job I have ever met. If you ever have any questions, they will respond timely via email or phone. My dad probably called 5 times in one day and Heather never got impatient with him. There are clear instructions on what to do and they send you a video every day explaining what to expect post surgery. This was so helpful during recovery when the days go by slowly. When I went back in to get my stitches out and almost fainted, the staff was quick to respond and very nice. I never felt an ounce of frustration. Just 2 weeks after surgery, I am so happy with my results already. Even though he didn't promise he could do exactly what I wanted, he actually did. Every day I am happier and happier when I look in the mirror with what he has done. When I say exactly, I really mean it. He made me look exactly how I wanted and I finally feel beautiful. His bedside manner is also exceptional. I've actually never had a doctor make me feel so good when I leave the office. The only negative I can say is that when you go in, there is always a long wait. But hey... he's busy for a reason, and what's a little extra time for the best? Don't believe the negative reviews. If you are ready to make a change, I highly recommend Dr. Shah!!
