This facility does not operate as dermatology medical professionals, as their goal is to push cosmetic procedures. If you go for actual dermatology issues, they will recommend unnecessary procedures and prescribe an various prescriptions even though they are unable to diagnose the actual issue or root cause. Conditions didn't improve, rather, things worsened, which led to more prescriptions that were ineffective. They also charged me for a follow-up visit that was scheduled to follow up on the last procedure, which made my condition worse (removed mole, 2 more came back in its place). They collected payment for that visit, then they contacted me later to collect an additional balance because they said they miscalculated the patient pay. *UPDATE: They never sent me a statement for the remaining balance and sent it straight to a collections agency.

Very unprofessional and I didn't receive an appropriate consultation. The doctor was not there to listen to me. I had to explain myself to the assistant, who I assume understands so little about cosmetology, then the assistant left the room and may have told the doctor or the doctor about what I told her. Then the doctor walk into the room and barely listened to me. This whole situation gave an unpleasant 10 mins experience for $150. I DON'T RECOMMEND!

I've had so many problems with this office. They clearly push certain pharmaceuticals and non-generics. They complained endlessly and almost didn't see me because I dont have a physical insurance card, but a digital one. They lost two of my letters after saying I need a different doctor's note for a super common condition completely unrelated to an Rx I needed (uhm isn't that why I'm seeing the doctor, so she can discern safety???). She said I needed a liver test for an Rx, and then after I did it and paid for it, said she changed her mind and I didn't need to do it. The doctor sells fillers for 4 (four!!!) times the price that my plastic surgeon does them, shamelessly. This office is a complete mess, save your money and see someone else.

I could not agree more with Ashly....you are literally in their waiting area longer than the time you spend with the actual derm.. at least the one I was assigned too.. rushed me and barely let me ask any questions... plus they use these mail in companies to prescribe you expensive creams... etc ... As a female myself.. I am all for supporting woman owned businesses but this practice...is very superficial...(I mean I know its a derm's office who handles aesthetic issues but still.. their demeanor is very pretentious and off putting) They may be Harvard educated and blah blah blah but their bedside manner needs work.

WARNING to anyone looking to have any procedure performed here. My experience was with fraxel, but be careful coming here for any other procedure. The doctors here care more about how much money they can get from you than actual results. This has left me completely traumatized with worse skin than before. These doctors cannot be trusted - do yourself a favor a get multiple opinions from other offices first. In February, I came in for a fraxel procedure. The biggest concern I had going into the procedure was if my skin texture could become any worse as a result. Dr. Jacob did my consultation and I expressed these concerns to her and asked if there could be any negative side effects for me, since my wedding is in July. I asked her if there were any risks with doing this. She firmly told me "No". I decided to book the procedure 2 weeks later with Dr. Campbell. Before the procedure began I met with the physicians assistant who told me Dr. Campbell was going to come in and talk to me prior to the procedure ... Never happened. I met Dr. Campbell on the procedure table where she told me she was going to treat my scars aggressively. Little did I know that meant she was going to crank the machine up to the highest possible setting. Dr. Campbell never had any prior history of my skin before performing this procedure because she didn't come in and talk to me before the procedure began. Three months later, my skin has not healed itself. My pores and skin texture are worse and I can't use any product with any chemical on my skin now as it burns the skin. I went to multiple follow up appointments with Dr. Jacobs (I booked an appointment with Dr. Campbell, but the office canceled saying she was too "busy" with surgeries to see me...coincidence?). Dr. Jacobs was quite dismissive of any concerns I had and also had poor bedside manner. She claimed nothing was wrong and it was probably just stress or cold weather. She still claimed there was no possible way a laser could damage your skin. Every appointment she just threw more creams and medications at me with absolutely no concern for my well-being. All of this without actually taking the time to even have a close up look of my skin. She barely even let me get a word out from the start. It seemed clear she was trying to rush me out the door. I went to a separate, highly regarded laser doctor for a second opinion who confirmed that the textural change on my skin was from the laser procedure, and also that the doctors who performed this procedure on me were not truthful about the potential side effects and risks. He also told me that this is not a procedure that can cause permanent fixes like Dr. Jacobs and Dr. Campbell said it would. It seems very clear to me that this office lied to me for my money and cannot be trusted.

A double edge sword here. I came in to have lesions on my scalp looked at. Dr. Fine looked at them and recommended freezing them with nitrogen. That was great. For that they get 5 stars. The young man who was reviewing my medical history and taking notes, constantly interrupted me. He did not get a accurate list of my meds nor my allergies to medications. He gets 2 stars. I would go back for treatment if necessary.

She has a beautiful facility in the heart of River North. I have referred many people who continue to thank me for it. She has the latest up to date equipment and cutting edge procedures. I am thankful for all the quality work she and her staff have performed on me. I think this is a major contributing factor to me looking younger than my years (I still get carded and I am in my early 40's). Gotta love that!!! Walking into the clinic you could tell right away that the place was extremely clean, professional, and sophisticated. The ladies at the front desk were able to check me in right away, and were very friendly and helpful. I received the Miradry procedure from Brittany Rank, who was outstanding!! She was exceptionally knowledgeable about Miradry, and walked me through the procedure before hand, and throughout. Nina was assisting with the Miradry, and was phenomenal too!! Nina made me feel relaxed, calm, and worked with me to get through the numbing process, which was difficult for me, as I have extreme anxiety with needles. It has been one week since I received Miradry, and the outcome is one in a million! Not only can I enjoy the humid summer days, but I have more confidence than I ever had; all without sweating!!!! I would highly recommend both the Miradry procedure with Brittany and Nina, but I would also recommend Chicago Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology alltogether.

I went to this clinic last year for face acne problem, I saw Dr. Omer Ibrahim. My problem was not sever however Dr. Ibrahim decided to put me on both medication and cream. He prescribed Spironolactone 100 mg for daily use. I started taking the medication as prescribed and about two weeks later I started feeling some weird side effects like confusion and lack of concentration. I contacted the clinic right away and asked to speak with the doctor and explained my symptoms but they said the doctor is busy and will return your call later in the afternoon. I waited but he didn't call back so I called again and nobody answered. I sent couple of emails to the clinic explaining the problem and asking what I should do, I sent two urgent emails and finally two days later I got a response. The response was from the assistance and it says "The doctor says stop the medication"! I didn't hear from the doctor and he didn't even reply checking on the problem that was caused by the medication he prescribed. I stoped the medication and the next day I woke up with chills and tingling in both hands and feet and confusion was worse. I rushed to the urgent care and they transferred me to the Emergency room right away. All the doctors that I saw were shocked that Dr. Omer Ibrahim gave me such medication for my condition and they stated that such medications are given for kidney and heart failure conditions and shouldn't be given without monitoring and the worse thing Dr. Ibrahim did was telling me to stop the medication suddenly as it has sever withdrawal affects that made me end up in the hospital. Later after I was discharged, I researched about this medication only to find out that it was black listed by the FDA for causing extreme side effects. And of course Dr. Ibrahim failed to tell me about this and failed to even follow up asking about the problem. I suffered from the side effects for months after.! Be careful of the medication they prescribe and ask for second opinion before taking any medication prescribed by this clinic

I have been to many cosmetic doctors for fillers and botox, but none have been such an artist as Dr. Rachel Pritzker. The "miracles" she creates on my face when i have a procedure are incredible! results are immediate and natural looking without ever having any redness or bruising. I can literally go right to work after the procedure. Dr. Pritzker is an absolute pro and i would recommend her to anyone who wants to look and feel amazing!

This review is for Dr. Campbell only. I went to Chicago Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology around a year ago to have two simple procedures done. In consultations I was told there would be minimal scaring. The surgery itself felt very rushed. I assume this is because Dr. Campbell only comes in once a month and stacks as many appointments as she can into one day. Both surgeries left scars significantly larger than expected. I went back to the office a year later for a follow-up to see if anything could be done about the scar left on my face, which made the problem area more noticeable than pre-surgery. I was told by Dr. Campbell that the problem was my skin, not her surgery, and that she'd be happy to try again if I paid the full fee to have the surgery done a second time. Grant this conversation lasted an entire two minutes before she rushed off to leave me discussing copays for the follow-up with her assistant. I understand that's doctors make mistakes, but it's completely unacceptable to blame the patient and to do nothing to amend the situation. Please do not trust this woman with your skin. She does not care about her patients. I have had friends make similar complaints about this office and should have heeded their warnings more seriously. Seeing Dr. Campbell is a waste of time and money and you'll likely walk out of the office looking worse than you first walked in.

I would not recommend anyone go to this office for dermatology. They are careless and extremely uppity. I expect when I go to a doctor for an issue, that the doctor will give me the time I deserve in a compassionate way. I am always in and out of there (after sitting in the waiting room for 20 or 30 minutes past by appointment time) within 10 minutes. When I call to speak to a doctor or nurse, 9 out of 10 times they do not answer the phone. Every prescription they have written me is either INCREDIBLY expensive or takes over 10 days to receive from the mail-in pharmacies they utilize. Do yourself a favor and STAY FAR, FAR away from this office. There are plenty of great dermatologists in this city, do not bother with Chicago Cosmetic and Dermatology.

I have to agree with the reviewers that talk about the push of extra unnecessary creams, medications and stuff that are incredibly expensive and that none really uses. I was diagnosed with Melasma and they told me I could get the medication with them and theat they were licensed to sell it. What they didn't tell me is that I had to pay the full price for it ($170.00) for a cream that I could have easily gotten at Walgreens for $25.00 which was covered by my insurance. In addition, I scheduled an appointment to see a doctor, and I was told that the physician's assistant was going to see me who was the person who diagnosed me with the above mentioned "illness" . I demanded to see the doctor and she told me that it wasn't necessary and that she was fully capable of diagnosing my situation. Did they charge my insurance company adequately? That is to be seen.... Makes me wonder if the "great" reviews are actual from patients or their on staff.

Dr. Lauren Fine is amazing! I am a new patient and I was very impressed. Dr. Fine is very knowledgeable, has a great bedside manner and a conservative approach to treatment. She did a great job explaining all the treatment options and was honest about the success of treatment outcomes. At no point did I feel like I was being pushed any unnecessary cosmetic procedures and all my issues were addressed. I've seen Dr. Jacob 3 times now. The first time for Dysport between my brows, upper lip injection, under eye fillers and cheek fillers. The second time just an update on the Dysport between the brows and yesterday updated my undereye and cheeks. Absolutely beautiful work. Especially this last time. I have a look of nice, high defined cheekbones without looking over done. She is very professional. The woman knows her stuff I feel lucky to have found someone that is really into what she does and takes it seriously. Yesterday she had an assistant in the room so I got to hear her explain what she was doing and why and I can just really tell she is very precise, she doesnt just poke needles wherever. She also used the PERFECT amount on me which I'm sure can be tough to gauge. I definitely do not want to over fill. She was explaining to the assistant about my particular age, skin elasticity, bone structure from one side of my face to the other (she pointed out how my cheek bone on my left side is more prominant than my right) which is absolutely true but the untrained eye would not notice that and I never pointed that out to her. She really tailored it to my specific situation. When I got my upper lip done back in November 2017 I was obsessed. It was so beautiful and I still have not felt I needed to touch that up again yet. Also when I first saw her for the upper lip, I told her I was thinking about getting a little in my bottom lip but she really didn't think I should and I'm glad I didnt. I have a pretty full bottom lip, and she explained the ratio and why it would potentially be too much. The upper lip made all the difference I needed. I trust that when the time comes, she will let me know. Thank you Dr. Jacob!!!

I went to this place about 8 months ago to do forehead botax. I saw Dr Pritzker for it and she insisted that I do filler for mouth lines too which didn't make much difference, but For botax She said I'd better use this new product called Lyft because it works better. Let me just say that I returned back to the place 2 more times because the product wasn't working at all and it actually didn't do any good after three times of injection. I did botax in another place last week and it actually worked perfectly, so I'm now sure the problem was not my muscles. I'm not even sure if they have done any harm to me by using those products or not.

I had a couple moles removed last month to test whether or not they could be trusted to other procedures such as laser work, cosmetic surgery, botox, etc. The procedure was imprecise and one mole has already grown back. I've had moles removed by doctors all over the country and this is the first time I've had an issue. They also submitted lab work, which I did not authorize. In fact, when I booked the appointment, I requested that they not send lab work out - they did it anyway. After this experience, I wouldn't trust them to do anything else.

After the use of filler the results were immediate and the scar is no longer visible! Very happy with the results I would post photos if I could. I’ve already received many compliments. I would not recommend this dermatologist. I went for a yearly checkup and they overcharged to get my moles biopsied, they insisted that I get one removed completely but did not provide me with the accurate laboratory results. ( I did not let them remove it.) If you go expect to pay for everything immediately after your appointment, as they do not let you know of additional fee's or check with your insurance before charging you. Better options for dermatologists that can do lasers, and full body exams. Don't waste your time or money here.

I was noticing some red veins on my cheek and around my nose. Nothing major, but enough to bother me when I looked in the mirror to do my makeup. Dr. Pritzker (who is awesome!!) suggested the ExcelV laser to tidy them up and I love the results! She explained everything well and was very kind and informative throughout the procedure. My treatment was conservative and I had a little swelling over the weekend, but no real down time otherwise. It's very reassuring to find a doctor who really listens and understands the desire for a subtle freshen up. I'm so glad I did it and will be back!!

I had my 2nd peel ever with their Esthetician, Lizz! I hate peels bc of the peeling, go figure ;) But Lizz assured me that the pigmentation from picking at my acne (don't judge me) would go down after just one Restart Peel. So far, it's been a really good experience! They're very professional and fast! It didn't take long to get an appt at all. I'm going in for several items/procedures, so it's too early to leave a full review but I'll definitely update this once everything is done & I've had time to heal. However, I'm impressed with how efficient they are- I like their online patient portal & the offices are very clean... it's a huge, spacious and modern facility as well.

I actually fly to Chicago from Los Angeles to see Rachel Pritzker, who I can’t say enough good things about! She makes getting injections fun and nearly stress free. And she’s super skilled- better than the “hot” derms in LA! She’s also an astute doctor for any skin issue, not just cosmetic ones. The practice is efficient, friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is that one can get lost in their amazing new offices!
