Wow!! 12 years ago my so was born with a cleft lip and palate. I was so scared because it was not detected in the ultrasound but Dr. Griffiths was there when he was born and assured me my son would be fine and that he could help. There have been many suregeries and appointments but it has been well worth it. My son still sees him and he has done an amazing job most people do not even know he was born with the cleft lip and palate. Great surgeon.

Dr. Griffiths is wonderful! I am a nurse, and as a nurse people are always asking me "Who is the best cardiologist? Who is the best orthopedic surgeon? Who is the best family practice doctor? You get the idea. If someone asks me "Who is the BEST plastic surgeon?" I will always say Dr. Griffiths!!! His work is his pride and his patients are priority. Here is my story: I was clearly instructed to refrain from taking any anti-inflammatories or blood thinners prior to my procedure. I wasn't thinking clearly, and due to a headache, I took some ibuprofen before my surgery. As a result, I had consistent bleeding throughout my procedure. My surgery was scheduled for 1-2 hours, and it went for almost 4 hours because I had so much bleeding. Dr. Griffiths was so kind! He never got frustrated with me, and worked late into the evening to make my nose look amazing, in spite of the mess I had created for him. I can never thank him enough! Thank you Dr. Griffiths! Surgery after surgery, I was never scared going into surgery because I knew that he knew what he was doing. Dr. Griffiths is definitely worthy of a five star rating, and more. Dr. Griffiths is wonderful! I wish I could give him more than 5 stars. This review is long overdue but I just wanted to say that the surgery he performed for our daughter in February 2016 was life changing. She was born with cleft lip/palate and he was able to do both surgeries at once and you can't even tell! We get compliments all of the time people can't believe what good work he did, but it's true. He's such a talented artist... so thankful we found him and I would never choose anyone else for my children besides him. We trust him in the operating room and the care he and his staff provide is just incredible. We're happy to have the support of his entire cleft lip/palate team. We really felt cared about as a family and highly recommend Dr. Griffiths. If you need someone, choose him... you won't be sorry.

SO FOR STARTERS THE STAFF IS AWESOME......however I am totally disappointed with this surgeon and the way I look...I am almost more embarrassed at the way I look now than I did b4 the surgery...I had a semi mommy make over ...{my breasts and my stomach) although I have less loose skin in the tummy area....I still look awful.... from what looks like a nipple coming out the side of my waist area to depression due to the way I look and I paid for this...leaving me really no option for summerware that doesn't expose this....to total weight gain I'm thinking in part from depression but from whatever else has happened....I believe I have a muscle that's twisted inside from leaving the drain tube in too long leaving a bulge in the front of my stomach...he left town and left the nurse to take the tube out...while pulling it out she made the comment "I've never had to do this b4" during the initial consultation...Dr. Griffith looked at me and said "your not a challenge" well obviously he over estimated his abilities....after going back to him and expressing my dis approval for the way I look..he said "well if its any consolation your breasts look amazing...I didn't go there for my breasts ..I went with my main concern in the tummy area...this will b the second summer I haven't gone outside or ,been able to enjoy the summer sun and I paid him $16,000 in cash....I don't know about anyone else but that's an awful lot of money to have other surgeons look at me and say yes I believe we can fix that not knowing I supposedly already pAID FOR THE MOMMY MAKEOVER ...I was told they couldn't do anything about it until a year has gone by ....so a year has gone by and I am going to make an appointment and see how it goes ...I will keep u updated as to the outcome...i'm hoping he will go to whatever lengths he has to too fix me ....I hate to think I paid that money thinking I was going to have some self confidence and hopefully enjoy my summers to never going outside and I have 0 self esteem at this point ....

First I would like to start by saying that I never write reviews. But after reading a previous (negative) review about this amazing human and surgeon, I felt compelled to write this. I have a unique perspective. I know Dr. Griffiths professionally. He is also my physician. He operated on me in May/2016 (mommy makeover). I had a breast lift with augmentation and a tummy tuck. I also had my OB step in and perform a hysterectomy before the mommy makeover. First, let me tell you that as talented as Dr. Griffiths is and out of all of the miracle results he's been able to pull off (children included) he still only has your anatomy to work with. If you don't treat your body with the same care that he does and follow his post op instructions as the gospel that it is, you WILL NOT HAVE THE RESULTS THAT HE NOT ONLY EXPECTS OF HIMSELF, but you will continue to be disappointed no matter how much time passes. If you do not take care of yourself post op, physically and mentally, you will not have the best results possible for YOUR BODY. Perfection is NOT attainable. You were not perfect before surgery and you will not be perfect after surgery, no matter how much you pay and no matter who the surgeon. My results are nothing short of a miracle in my eyes. I get compliments every day. Am I perfect? Heck no. But am I a better version of my imperfect self? Absolutely. This is major surgery and it takes a lot of time to heal even though you are told that post op period is 6 weeks and you can return to "normal" at that point. Post op period goes way beyond 6 weeks. You are still healing for an entire year and then some, and everyone is different. Your life and activity will go on normally after about 6-8 weeks post op. But, how you look at 4 weeks post op is not indicative of how you will look at 4 months. How you look at 6 months is not an indicator of how you will look at 12 months. But, you will continue to improve and if you treat your body as the precious temple that it is, your results will be better than even he anticipated. Even if another surgeon says they can improve your end result, their results are still held captive by how good you are at taking care of yourself - and they have no experience with you as a patient to determine if that result is actually attainable. So I don't know what happened to "Marilyn Monroe" and her experience. Everyone's experience with their surgeon is a personal one. But I can tell you from much experience with this talented guy that what her review states is not the experience of hundreds of other patients, including myself. A plastic surgeon can not GIVE you self confidence. You do that for yourself. If you're 100% counting on him to give that to you, you're being unrealistic and have unrealistic expectations of your results. With Dr. G, he's an offense, defense type of guy. He's on offense by operating and he expects you to play defense and take care of yourself. It is not just on him, your results are on you as a patient as well. He took care of me with the utmost professionalism and compassion. And his surgical talent is definitely at the top of his profession, and I know many, many other MD's locally that would say the same thing, because they have. His before and after pictures speak for themselves as well as his many, many reviews on the internet that claim him to be the top plastic surgeon in Boise. Because...that he is, the best plastic surgeon in Boise, hands down.

Our baby girl was born with cleft lip and palate and so far has had her lip repair done by Dr Griffiths. Palate will happen at 14 months. We are so happy with her results and very thankful to Dr Griffiths for giving her such a beautiful new smile! He did an amazing job and even immediately after surgery was very impressed with his work...no visible sutures, very clean repair, and 1 week later several people were shocked to hear she had just had surgery for cleft lip! He is a top notch surgeon and we feel so lucky to have a surgeon of his caliber here in boise and feel our daughter got the best repair possible!

I had the best care and my nose looks great. I had extensive nose damage due to an explosion I was involved in. I didn't trust this much surgery to anyone. After 5 specialists I was happy and comfortable with Dr. Griffiths. He did a fabulous job, no pain, and a quick recovery. I had my surgery Oct 2016 and I am so happy. From start to finish Dr. Griffiths and Starr have made this whole process so simple for me. I am 26 years old and never thought I would be able to have this surgery done. Dr. G made sure that I was doing okay after surgery calling and checking on me during the weekend. Dr. Griffiths and his staff are just amazing! I wish I could give more then 5 stars!!! My son has had a growth (vascular malfunction) on his lip since he was one year old and it has always caused people to look and ask what is wrong with his lip. Dr. Griffiths saw my son's lip and said that his was confident that he could remove it with minimal damage to his lip. The surgery went very well and Dr. Griffiths sat with us after the surgery and went over the whole process making sure that we understood everything and didn't have any questions. We live over 2 hours drive time from Dr. Griffiths office so when my son's braces ripped out a few stitches (only 4 days after surgery), I called Dr. Griffiths office panicked. Stephanie gave Dr. Griffiths personal number and asked me to send him pictures because Dr. Griffiths was out of the office. After sending pictures Dr. Griffiths gave me a call right back, to let me what we had to do to take care of his lip and put my mind at ease. Well we are now 5 months post sugery and my sons lip looks awesome, you seriously can't even tell there was anything wrong with his lip. And my son has more confidence now then ever before. Dr. Griffiths and his staff are just so amazing top notch service! I will be recommending them to everyone!!!

I’m 17 going to be 18 soon and I feel more confident than ever because of how wonderful of a job he did. My son Gabriel was born with a undeveloped left ear. basically he had a nub where his ear lobe should have been and that"s about it. I would like to thank Dr. Griffiths for the wonderfully detailed job he did constructing a new flesh and blood ear for my son. Our experience thus far has exceeded all of my expectations. From start to finish the staff of Dr. Griffiths office have been supportive and helpful above and beyond what i expected, doing everything from fighting to get funding for the procedure to juggling appointment dates so i did not have to miss quite a much work. I would like to single out Star and thank her for fighting so effectively on behalf of my son. Dr. Griffiths, aside from doing a wonderful job on my sons ear was also never more than a phone call or text away at all times during my son"s recovery. He took the time to make sure i knew exactly what to watch for and what precautions i needed to take post surgery. Dr. Griffiths helped relieve our worry and stress level by taking the time to explain every aspect of my son"s recovery and how we needed to care for him post operation, knowing he was always a phone call away and that he carried his phone at all time just for us was a great relief. I am not a very eloquent person so i cannot adequately convey how grateful we are to have had Dr. Griffiths, Star, and the rest of his team behind us through this. My son will not go through life feeling different or self conscious about a deformed ear or the fact that he is half deaf. Because of Dr. Griffiths and his staff my boy now has an amazing looking new ear and will soon be fitted with a bone anchored hearing device which will allow him to hear from both sides. All in all our experience and level of care was excellent.

Our daughter was born with craniosynostosis 10 years ago therefore in 2009 she underwent reconstructive masofacial plastic surgery. As you could imagine, handing your infant child over to surgeons is a terrifying situation but I recall the thorough, reassuring and professional approach that Dr. Griffith gave from the beginning. We had so many questions and fears but he always helped us feel completely informed and made us feel safe and reassured that he would continue to follow our child for life. Over the past decade, as we have gone in for her check-ups, we have felt relieved that there have been no side effects from the early surgery and it is obvious that it was done with such care and detail that our child has nearly no scars nor obvious signs of the initial deformity thanks to the excellence of this very intelligent and talented doctor.
