Am extremely grateful to have found Dr Wong. Have had 3 visits since 2014, always a very rewarding and pleasant experience. A receded hairline is an often a problem for women, as in my case, making a woman look too old and masculine. I was determined to find help for this. The improvement that a youthful and truly feminine hairline can make in overall facial esthetics is remarkable. Hair transplants are one solution though not ideal. A scalp advancement is far superior. Fortunately, another Dr, referred me to Dr. Wong as one of the few surgeons with the technical expertise to perform this procedure. Also, Dr. Wong and his staff are all such nice people, making every visit a smooth and pleasant experience. Dr. Wong is very attentive, understanding, and compassionate about a person's needs. He is willing to explain the technical details of each procedure, to set one's heart at ease. Once in the OR, I felt totally relaxed, knowing all would go smoothly, which of course it did. Depending on the severity of the receded hairline, the advance may be completed in one, two, or even three stages, as in my case. Generally, about 2 centimeters or 3/4 of an inch advancement can be taken in each stage, tho younger patients may achieve even more. Doing the advancement in steps makes each step a smooth and easy procedure of only about 2 hours each. The outcome is much better than hair transplanting. Waiting 6 months between stages insures good healing and no complications. I chose local anesthetic, although local with sedation and even general anesthetic are offered if desired. After the local was administered, (a few little stings) the surgery was totally painless. I was so relaxed, nearly fell asleep to the enchanting sound of Tibetan singing bowls music. Follow up visits all went very smoothly, I am so happy with the results. A more youthful and feminine hairline did more for me than anything else could have. Visiting Dr. Wong was truly a dream come true.
