Oh how I wish I did not have to reveal this outcome. I feel it is my duty to help others not experience the same thing. I adore the personalities in this place yet when it gets down to principals there is much to be desired. An error occurred in surgery where more was removed than what was supposed to be. It was a CYA situation (covered their you know whats). The staff as a whole denied it as I had 10 other surgeons confirming it on Realself website along with 1 in person. When I asked for half of my money back due to this complete removal of a certain area, the staff declined, claiming they were pleased with the result. Some of the doctors from other practices used the term amputation in quotations. Regardless of how big or small the body part- if aggressive surgery occurs and it is cut off- I feel half of your money back will never make up for the part you will always miss yet at least is some gesture in return. Hey, if they need the money that bad let them keep it. Just please know as a team they all decided together to deny something that many confirmed outside of them. I have pursued litigation however since it is an elective surgery most cases won't win. It is just something that I must accept. It is ok to make a mistake, that we all understand, it's the way they handled it, that I don't. I would say go elsewhere. They say give it 6 mos..well it didn't grow back in 2 and it "aint gonna" in 6 unfortunately that piece of me was chopped.

New to the plastic surgery world I did not know what to expect from my initial consultation. Dr. Harkins took the time to listen to me discuss my thoughts and give me his opinion. He is thoughtful and knowledgeable and wouldn't go beyond what my body was capable of handling. The day of surgery he was relaxed, put me at ease, had great confidence in the transformation he would be able to give me. After surgery, his follow up care was amazing, he was there for the questions and the minor issues that arose, and went above and beyond to help. I'm 3.5 weeks post op and the follow up visits in the office have been timely and encouraging. I told him the other day this is honestly the easiest surgery I have ever had with a fantastic recovery. While he has been instrumental in my surgery and care, I would be remiss not to mention his amazing staff. Judy is so friendly and kind, took great care of my mom while she waited during my long surgery. Meghan made the scheduling and payment so easy and her follow up was spot on. Mitzi is encouraging and thoughtful during my office visits with Dr. Harkins. Marlene is the nicest operating room nurse I've ever met, she made sure I was warm and comfortable and not at all nervous right before surgery. Dr.Mauri, my anethesiologist listened to my concerns about post op waking up and assured me that she would take care of me, and I woke up with no nausea, shaking or confusion. I cannot speak highly enough of everyone at Plastic Surgery Center of the South. They are more than a Doctor's office, they are genuine, caring and thoughtful.

I've been seeing Dr. Mussara for years and I love him. I've had a tummy tuck with lipo of the flanks first. 1.5 years late, lipo of the thighs, abdomen and butt. And most recently, I had my first round of Cool Sculpting on my arms. I cannot say enough good about the staff. They are very caring. They are always available to answer questions. Kudos to Dr. Hawkins and his staff. My husband fell and split his upper lip almost completely in two. Sunny was so pleasant and got us in the next day. And the results have been outstanding and Dr. Harkins stands by his commitment to results. He and the nursing staff were very responsive the days after surgery during recovery and the weeks following which is critical. Experience at this facility went well. Very professional staff, clean, nice atmosphere/office. I will not personally be going with this office for my surgery only because I am an African American woman and I personally do not think I will ultimately be happy with my results based on my consultation but, they may have a service that fits other individual needs.

After having my areola reduction surgery by Dr. Leake, my areolas were two different sizes. I was mortified by the difference.I then had to pay a 75 dollar fee to have another surgery for him to correct HIS mistake. Now after the second surgery, my areola's still do not appear symmetrical and I have terrible scares from having to be cut open again after the initial surgery. I am very disappointed with my results and wish I never had the surgery.

Dr. Musarra was the best surgeon, kind, caring and compassionate. He removed a tumor from the back of my neck and greatly improved the quality of my life as a result. No more constant backaches! But beyond that, the removal would have left a crater depression on the back of my neck the size of an ice-cream scoop, except that Dr. Musarra used his exceptional skill with his magic liposuction wand and evened out the area so I'd be able to wear sundresses. He did this for me on his own and I am so grateful to him. What a wonderful man, what a tremendous loss. I feel so fortunate to have had him as my surgeon.

I was referred to Dr. Musarra in 1990 for breast augmentation. Since the age of 11, I became dissatisfied with my small breasts, knew they'd never get any bigger, and they didn't. When I was 27, Dr. Musarra came to my rescue, bringing me from an A cup to a size D, and I was elated. It wasn't until the end of 2010, however, that a routine mammogram revealed an issue. Dr. Musarra to the rescue, once again. After 20 years, nursing two babies, and some age-appropriate sagging, Dr. Musarra took care of everything perfectly! Seven years later, and having lost almost 100 pounds, I dialed the number for PSCS, still on my speed dial. After losing all of that weight, Dr. Musarra was going to be my "reward." I was devastated to learn that Dr. Musarra had left this earth only months before, and only about nine months after the onset of illness. A HUGE loss to the medical community, locally, nationally, and internationally, and to everyone whose life he had touched, including mine. Dr. Musarra, having founded PSCS some 40 years prior, was very much a pioneer in plastics, at least in the Marietta area. And he was "crazy kind." So I chose to stay with the practice and move forward with my intended procedures with a referral to Dr. Petrosky, another long-time veteran of PSCS, practice partner with Dr. Musarra, and a doc with a reputation that included the most compassionate bedside manner ever. Best. Decision. Ever. In less than a five month span, Dr. Petrosky has flawlessly performed on me a neck lift, an arm lift "plus" and, just yesterday, a tummy tuck "plus." I'm hoping to complete my transformation later this year with an upper-leg lift and bottom lift. Dr. Petrosky's high level of professionalism, knowledge base, and surgical prowess are second to none. The personalized time he affords me each time I come in for my visits, along with his extreme level of compassion have made this very important choice of my life the BEST and WISEST choice of my life. The support staff, from front desk back to the surgical suites, and EVERYONE in between, are nothing short of stellar. Always a smile. Always going above and beyond, no matter what. No request is too big or too small. This practice is five star all the way. Color me grateful, PSCS.

Plastic Surgery Center of the South is by far the best plastic surgeon facility here in Atlanta, GA. I recently just had gynecomastia surgery this past Monday and my results already are beyond what I thought they may be. Their prices are very affordable and the staff are very professional. I would grade my overall experience with this company an A+. Dr. Harkins was the doctor who performed my surgery.

I had my surgery done a day ago, 360 liposuction and inner / outer thighs by Dr. Harkins. This will be my third surgery so I am used to the procedure and the after care. The reason why I am giving 2 stars and really wants to give one star, Consultation with Dr. Harkins it was great. Pricing was $2500 more of what I would have pay if had the same work done in Miami . So the $2500 extra was guarantee me a wonderful experience which turned out not to be so good, the day of surgery the anesthesiologist I love her . she’s great but the nurse practitioner was a bit mean . Before my surgery she was really nice ( I forgot her name) , so my surgery with Dr. Harkins ended at 12:30pm , usually when I have surgery they let you wait in the recovery room for an hour/ hour and a half for the anesthesia to wear off . Even if you do have someone that’s picking you up , so I don’t understand if my surgery was over at 12:30 why are you rushing me to call my ride to come pick me up. Like this lady was getting really mean and upset that my ride was not there at 12:30. I just had a major surgery and anesthesia in me , why am I rush and you guys close at 6 o’clock and I was the only patient for that day . I asked her can she call my ride for me she said no so I have to go in my book bag to get my phone out to look for my friends number , right after surgery not even 1 minutes after. Also they put a urine catheter inside me, ( all my two past surgeries they have never put that inside me and I wish they didn’t this time ) and now it freaking burns and hurts when I pee , after doing my research on the Internet. I think it’s a bladder infection ( google said the catheter could’ve been germy ) which I have not had in 10 years. When I pee , If feels like I’m peeing glass. It burns like on a scale of a 100 and it hurts so bad and worse than the liposuction pain . Today I was supposed to go in for my 2 day after surgery meeting Dr. Harkins, I’m not going to go I’m done with this place I’m just going to go to a hospital and have them treat this painful burning sensation. The nurse lady was so mean, she even asked my friend why does he have an attitude. And my friend was at the hospital earlier because he was sick with a cold, so he was rushing to get to me because she was rushing me two minutes after surgery. Good day I’ll do the rest of my up coming surgery somewhere else . It’s too early for me to say the results of my liposuction so I can’t speak on that . I can just explain what I’m experiencing now 2 days after surgery.
