I am 52 years old and am so happy I went ahead and had a breast reduction! My breast cup size was a G/H and my reduction is a “C” cup. I did a lot of research and know now that I made the best decision for myself. From the moment I meant Dr. Alderman, I knew I was in good hands. The surgical work done had the potential to leave me very scarred. Dr. Alderman took her time and planned my incisions carefully to minimize the scars. It's not just skill, it's an art! The day after surgery, I had immediate relief from years of neck/shoulder/back pain from carrying a lot of extra “chest weight.” My experience with her so far has been exceptional! She is knowledgeable and thorough, and she also has a wonderful bed side manner. Dr. Alderman made me feel comfortable throughout my entire experience. Additionally, her staff is awesome! They are on top of things, friendly, and just make you feel right at home. Never once did I feel like a "number." Every time I walked into the office, they all knew my name. Currently, I am three months post-op and couldn’t feel better and more satisfied with my results. The decision to proceed with my breast reduction has allowed me to be more active, and in turn I now live a healthier lifestyle!

I can't even begin to explain how amazing Dr. Amy Alderman is, but I'll do my best! After searching extensively for a plastic surgeon to perform such a major surgery, I knew as soon as I met her that she was going to be the one I chose. Starting with her wonderful staff, I felt completely welcomed from the moment I stepped foot into her office. At no point did I feel like "just another patient" to them. In fact, I felt the complete opposite. I could tell that Dr. Alderman cared about not only her patients being comfortable with the whole process, but also cared for them on a personal level. I was never made to feel as if it was all business, and truly believe that Dr. Alderman is there to help me achieve the goals I had in my mind. She preformed my tummy tuck in October of 2017, and I just recently hit the six month mark. I couldn't be happier with my results! My scar healed very nicely, the liposuction I had done on my flanks helps perfectly accent my new flat tummy, and I'm already seeing more definition in my ab that I hadn't seen before. If you're the slightest bit concerned about anything from the surgery to the results, I highly recommend you visit Dr. Alderman. She explains everything you want to know, and will answer any questions you have until you feel comfortable with whatever procedure you're having done. I am extremely selective when it comes to my healthcare providers. Growing up with a parent who was in healthcare, I always had access to great doctors and care. When moving to Georgia, I struggled to find the quality care I had become accustomed with. I am grateful to have found the exceptional care that Dr. Amy provides. I have been a patient of Dr. Amy’s for nearly 10 years because I TRUST HER and her team. I have recommended to several friends and a family member who have also seen her, all with nothing but great experiences to share. I initially saw her for injections and have since had her do my lip augmentation (my lips were nearly non-existent after 4 years with adult braces), and breast augmentation/implant replacement (previously done by a different surgeon). There have been times I have asked, ‘maybe it’s not enough injection, or maybe they won’t be big enough.’ I always follow her guidance and have yet to be disappointed. And she goes the extra mile by personally calling to check up on you after procedures. (My husband was shocked when he answered the phone on the night of my surgery and it was Dr. Amy calling, and not a nurse.) Finding the right doctor and care is of utmost importance to me, especially when it comes to helping with my body image and insecurities. I recommend anyone looking for cosmetic treatments or surgery to see Dr. Amy. There are not enough positive words to describe my experiences with her and the team. Forever a patient and a fan!

Having a cosmetic surgery is a very personal, intimate, and in many cases a "life-changing" experience. After years worth of an internal debate and talking myself in and out of pursuing the surgery, I braved my fears and decided to go for a consultation for my breasts. I want to start off by saying that I don’t typically leave reviews, but my experience with Dr. Alderman and her incredible staff has been nothing short of amazing that I felt it absolutely necessary to give her the credit that she deserves (and hopefully help others in their search for a plastic surgeon). I had been contemplating a breast augmentation for quite some time, but I was extremely picky because the idea of ultimately not receiving the results I desired made me nervous. I had several consultations before I finally found Dr. Alderman, and it was the first time I left a doctor’s office thinking, “this is it”. Fantastic surgeon. Best friend you haven't met yet. Between Dr. Amy Alderman, Dr. Aida Joiner (the anaesthesiologist) and their staff, you'll have the best experience! She listens to what you want, she provides options that only an experienced surgeon can provide. I met Dr. Amy late 2017 after losing over 100 pounds through diet and exercise. I was left with minor pockets of fat on my lower abdomen and flanks/love handles. Another practice wanted to a belt lipectomy, removing skin and doing a body lift, but Dr. Amy strongly suggested that was a bad surgical suggestion and to let her do some body contouring with ultrasonic liposuction and traditional tumescent liposuction. Choosing Dr. Alderman was the best decision I ever made! I had surgery on April 19th, 2018 and had my final 6 month follow-up in December. I first went to see Dr. Alderman on Dec. 22, 2017, after a co-worker of my husbands recommended her. Dr. Alderman actually emailed me on Christmas day, after my first consult wanting me to have her email if I had any questions. She is extremely nice, honest, professional, but most important experienced and COMPETENT. I was interested in a tummy tuck and possible breast lift. She made me feel very comfortable right from the beginning. She told me she would not recommend a breast lift but thought I would get the results I was looking for rather from implants. I had plenty of tissue that was in good condition it was just, well shall we say, "deflated". I am 53, 5'9 and weigh 190. I had 2 VERY large babies ( 9'11 & 10'6, and breastfed ). I also gained a lot of weight in my 40's and have an under active thyroid. I ended up having Gastric Sleeve weight loss surgery, losing about 75 pounds. With all that came the nasty "hanging skin" at the top of my pubic area and hips. Dr. Alderman was the ONLY doctor I consulted with who recommended I take blood thinners for 14 days post-op due to my family history of blood clots. She also uses a new drug called Exparel, which she told me was a "gamechanger" for post operative pain after tummy tucks ( and it was ). When I consulted with another doctor close to my home he said he didn't use it because it's expensive. My thought was, "It's my money and I'm paying, so why wouldn't you consider my comfort?" Dr. Alderman's team is all female too. Which I thought was a plus. She uses a MD Anesthesiologist instead of a Nurse, which after doing research, I felt was important. I am now 7 weeks post-op and my results are truly life-changing. I am a Police Officer and was concerned about being too big in the breast due to having to wear a kevlar vest. She actually went with bigger implants during surgery than we discussed, noting because of my height and broad shoulders everyone on the team thought I needed to go bigger ( the all female team helps her to evaluate you during surgery). Boy am I GLAD, I TRUSTED her and she went bigger! She told me she has NEVER been accused of going too big. She REALLY knows what she is doing from her experience!!!! They look so natural! I really didn't want to be huge, just filled out, and that's exactly what I got. With the tummy tuck and breast implants my whole shape has significantly changed to be much curvier and sexy. My stomach looks amazing!!! I can't remember the last time it was this flat and I'm still swollen!!! My husband can't stop talking about how good I look. I feel like I look better than I did in my 30's when I weighed 160. This was a very big decision (and a significant investment, although their price was right in line with others in the Atlanta area I consulted with) and I talked to a lot of people and read a lot. At some point you have to trust your gut and go with the Doctor/practice you really feel comfortable with and you feel has your safety and best interest at heart. Dr. Amy Alderman and her team was it for me!! I would highly recommend her and I wish I would have done it sooner!!

I was really happy because the TT incision healed beautifully with no dog ears or puckers or anything. I didn’t need a drain, which was a HUGE bonus with my recovery! If I didn’t post this review on here, I bet no one would see me & wonder what I had done— it looks natural, which was exactly what I wanted since I am a mom of 3! I couldn’t be more happy with the results. Dr. Alderman performed my procedures to help me regain my overall health and complete body functionality. My breasts were flat, misshapen and 2 very different sizes as a result of 5 pregnancies, 3 live births and multiple lumpectomies. The lack of breast tissue caused bruising/tenderness with my nipples and did not allow me to find a bra that would fit both breasts. I also had diastasis recti with a hernia and my intestines would push through causing pain at the site and constant lower back pain. Upon meeting Dr. Alderman, we discussed my goals and she presented options for achieving those. I wanted to go the most conservative route possible with the greatest benefit. Dr. Alderman was the only surgeon I interviewed that recommended strategically placed implants to lift my breasts and fill out the missing tissue in an effort to remedy not only the different sized breasts, but also correct my nipple issue. In addition, she recommended a full tummy tuck because the open area (of my diastasis recti with a hernia) extended up and down beyond the length of my bellybutton. She felt that stabilizing that entire area would help to alleviate 90% of my constant back pain. I knew after talking to her that she was the best doctor for me. She made sure that I arrived at a place of full understanding of the procedures, the surgical plan, the recovery and required after-care before she left my presence. She was incredibly thorough and her visuals via the touchscreen were incredible. It was a total teaching experience. And, I felt completely at peace and ready to have my functionality restored. Plus, as a woman she not only related to me, but she fully understood my desired results. My body was completely ready for the procedures (7 hours of tests and all those medical clearances were totally worth it!!). It really was not a bad surgery. It was uncomfortable, but the worst part was the mental anguish I suffered from being bedridden for 3 weeks. Luckily, the post-surgical visits with Dr. Alderman and her incredibly loving and caring spirit helped that along. Her staff was just as loving. They were super amazing at changing my bandages and caring for me. They were always quick and willing to assist me with any concerns whether I was in the office or calling from home. They ALWAYS took care of me. I did not have any issues and healed in record time as a result of my excellent care with her and her wonderful staff. In regards to my functionality, I no longer have back pain. I still see a chiropractor because my body is so strong, so healthy and so incredibly operational that I now do Crossfit and chiro is a wonderful accompaniment to that level of workout. I had tried it before, but my back would not hold out. Now it sustains those hardcore workouts and any other daily activities I am called to. And. . . for the first time since my lumpectomies and pregnancies (13 years to be exact), I fit into a bra and I have absolutely no nipple discomfort or bruising whatsoever!!! While aesthetics was not my main concern, I will tell you that my breasts and stomach are absolutely beautiful. I feel so confident and feminine. There are no words to describe this adequately so those will have to do. Furthermore, Dr. Alderman prides herself in minimal scarring. I can vouch for this!! My scars are so faint that I am the only one that notices them. I have shown my family and friends. They are truly impressed. By the way, at the time I am writing this, I am not even a year out from my surgery. THAT is a true testament to her precision, talent and skill. Dr. Alderman is a phenomenal surgeon, doctor, strategist and caretaker. She is just an incredible person. Her work is exceptional and second to none.

What a great experience! I met Lisa at the open house and we discussed some options for fillers and Botox. She was so full of knowledge and I could tell she had an eye for symmetry and balance. Today I went in to have 1 syringe of juvederm XC and 2 areas of Botox done and I am so pleased with how I was treated and the results. I have had filler in my lips before and the doctor I went to retired so it was time to find a new home for my beauty maintenance. Ling greeted me with such a smile and kindness and helped me through the forms I need to fill out. A friend came with me for her first time getting filler and she let us go in the room together and allowed her to finish her paperwork while alongside me getting my injections. Emily came to the front while we were checking out and she was so pleasant as well, it’s really nice to come to an office where there are such nice women willing to help! Lisa was very attentive to the look I wanted to achieve while giving her expert opinion in what she felt could be accomplished. She was careful to ask to see all of my expressions before injecting any Botox and explained each area and the result she would be looking for. The goal was to balance the shape of my eyebrows and diminish the creases on my forehead. It takes 2-3 days to settle so I can always update for that but for now I can comment that her delivery was wonderful. Now for my lips she was able to balance out some areas that had become flat due to the way I sleep and also from aging. She was careful to not overfill and gave me the mirror to ask my opinion on any areas I was still concerned with. She even got to use what was left over on my nasolabial folds. Overall I’m in love with the outcome of my lips! There is a parking deck along side the building, it’s easy to find and the staff was wonderful.

I have been looking for a surgeon for a breast lift and implants for the past 4 years. I have been to multiple surgeons but none of them ever clicked. I am in my late twenties and never had kids, so my breasts were not totally deflated but not nearly as perky as someone who has never had kids should be. When I first saw Dr. Alderman's profile on RealSelf, I was really taking a chance since she just opened her practice and did not have many pictures. I decided to go to the consultation with my sister and my baby niece. First really just getting to know me and what I wanted and then going into detail the different options, implant, no implant, what the scar would look like, even on someone with a deeper complexion like myself. As soon as I walked out, I knew she was going to be my surgeon. I changed my mind on size about 3 times and Michelle patiently met with me every time, giving me guidance and reassurance every step of the way. They were all so understanding and caring. I finally had my surgery 6 weeks ago and wowowowow, I could NOT be happier. Dare I say, my breasts are perfect. I healed so well, I was on bed rest for a week but I was up and about by day 3. My scars are healing so beautifully, at 6WPO in some places barely noticeable. I have never felt so confident and beautiful and in love with my body my entire life. So first off I want to say I was never asked to post a review. I am doing this review because I think so highly of both Dr. Amy Alderman and Dr. Aida Joiner. I had wanted my surgery (tummy tuck with muscle repair and breast lift w/augmentation) for 12 years. I was close to having it a few years ago and was unable to due to a sudden health issue. I had previously met with a surgeon and even had the surgery scheduled. When I finally got back to a healthy place where I could have the surgery, I decided to research some more on a surgeon and decided to at least meet with Dr. Alderman. I wanted to at least check my options. From the moment I spoke with her surgical coordinator on the phone (who spent an hour on the phone with me answering questions) I felt at ease. At my consultation I meet with her surgical nurse first who talked to me about my goals and helped explain that I actually needed a different procedure than I was originally recommended for. Taking your clothes off is never comfortable at a doctor office but I felt like I was in a room with close friends and that it was totally normal. Dr. Alderman came and met with me and she is such a warm and calm person. She isn’t in your face and telling you to get more done than what you want. She has a very laid back attitude and you can just tell she loves what she does. My case was very complicated due to health problems and I was unable to meet the anesthesiologist at my appt but Dr. Joiner called me and talked to me on the phone for an hour and we went over all my medical history and she made me feel very secure. They worked with my other doctors to make sure the whole team knew what was going on. The day of surgery Dr. Joiner was able to give me something for nerves. Dr. Alderman made me feel like I was part of her family and I went into the OR very at peace. After surgery Dr. Alderman called my husband and checked on me 2 times. She answered all our questions. Michelle, the Pre-Op / Post-Op nurse is absolutely incredible. I think I emailed her at least ten times with my crazy anxious questions. My husband and I just love her. She is one of the sweetest and kindest people we have ever met. I am now 6 weeks out and I am so beyond happy with my results and they will just keep getting better. I literally have went through my entire wardrobe trying on my clothes because they fit so much different now it’s like a whole new wardrobe.
