Dr. Lawrence’s medical knowledge isn't on par with her bedside manner. While she was very pleasant, her treatment requirements are not based in fact and not shared by any of the more reputable surgeons in the entire Southeastern United States. I would advise against using her services as this was a terrible waste of time. *Update* I was treated by another surgeon and he confirmed my concerns with Dr. Lawrence.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lawrence since 2001 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had originally gone to another plastic surgeon who had done my initial surgery but after 6 weeks in and living a nightmare when I looked in the mirror, I went to Dr. Lawrence for a second opinion. I was told that what had been done would not work and within 2 weeks she was correct. Before I was diagnosed with cancer I had also lost 180 lbs and was left with a tremendous amount of skin. This was a good thing but because of the double mastectomy and the extra skin I was in bad shape. Dr. Lawrence took the time when she did my reconstruction to take care of the excess skin and leave me with a natural result. She has totally changed my body. In 2010 I had my final breast reconstruction and I now have all natural, no implants, breasts reconstructed with my own skin and for the first time in my life I was able to wear sleeveless shirts and dresses as she removed all of the excess skin from my arms. She is not only my doctor but she is my friend and she has changed my life.

About a year ago I had a breast reduction and a tummy tuck at Dr. Lawrence’s office. The staff was knowledgeable, organized, and helped educate me on the process to prepare for surgery and recovery. Overall I am glad I decided to make a healthier life style with help from my insurance. Dr. Lawrence was not very warm or welcoming to me during consultations or after the surgery. I felt like she was very cold and that I was just another body she was fixing. I had a few concerns about going into surgery that I felt like I didn’t understand and she seemed annoyed with me and didn’t explain when I kept asking questions because I clearly didn’t understand. 1. I had a benine lunp in one of my breasts that I also wanted removed while I was getting a reduction since I was told during byopsy results this was an option to get rid of. I didn’t receive an explaination as to why this couldn’t be done. 2. My nipples are not exactly even after my reduction which was a huge concern of mine. One of them is larger than the other instead of making them both somewhat even. I went from a J to a DD cup. 3. As a young woman of 25, I was very frustrated after a follow up visit when dr Lawrence made a comment about having to work really hard to get all that out of my tummy area and remembering me because of that. After this visit I did not go back for my last visit for pictures because I was so mortified and hurt by that comment. This already was out of my comfort zone and I felt like this comment was inappropriate. Overall I am happy I did this surgery I just was expecting that I would feel more empowered by Dr. Lawrence. Hopefully no one else experienced this as from other reviews I don’t see that so it just must have been me but thought I should share my experience too!

I chose Dr. Lawrence for my procedure since her surgery several years ago on my wife was, and is still, very satisfactory. Dr. Lawrence didn’t over-promise the results, carefully described what she would do, and provided pre-op medications to optimize post-op healing. Post-op care was remarkable, never leaving me with a feeling of being rushed or being limited in the number of visits. In my opinion Dr. Lawrence is a perfectionist and will go the extra mile to accomplish that. Her staff reflects her patient care and concern as well. One upside is the care provided by Northside Hospital staff if one needs to stay overnight. If I had to do this again I would choose Dr. Lawrence.

I had 3 laser treatments this year and haven’t seen a change. I paid 1800.00 because I was told it would clear my skin. Before I paid my money I asked several times will I have clear skin and I was told yes I was a great fit . My acne of my face has gotten worse. I spent my last trying to get a clearer face because I hate the acne on my face. I feel like I got cheated out of my money. I did a chemical peel and yes my face peeled but after spending 1800.00 my face should be clear. No I didn’t go back for follow up pictures because it’s no change. My face has gotten worse why would I take any pictures. Like I mention when I walked in the office they told me 3 laser treatments will clear my face and that was a lie. They just wanted to get my money. I would never do it again lesson has been learned.

Dr. Lawrence is an excellent plastic surgeon, and a wonderful person. I had Moes surgery (removing skin cancer) that took all day on a Friday. Almost my entire nose was removed, and I was told by another doctor I would have to wait until the following week to have my nose repaired. One call, and Dr. Lawrence met me in her office at 7 pm on a Friday, after dropping her kids off to go to camp. She did extensive surgery on my nose so I didn't have to go through a weekend and several days with no nose. Later, she did a complete nose job so you can barely tell I had any surgery. I had a second Moes since then, and she repaired another big hole in my nose. Dr. Lawrence is very focused on the medical needs of her patients and does a great job. More than that, she cares about her patients. I am forever greatful that she cared enough to go to her office on a Friday night to help a man who had no nose. I highly recommend this amazing doctor.

Dr. Lawrence is hands down the best plastic surgeon in ATL. Professional and knowledgeable to a T, she and her staff make you feel comfortable and relaxed from the get go. I initially had a lot of anxiety about the treatments that I was going to see her for, but I quickly felt at ease after she walked me through everything. I couldn't be happier with my results!!! The pictures of her results certainly speak for themselves on the incredible job she does, but what makes her go above and beyond is the kindness and patience extended to all patients throughout the treatment and surgical process. As an added bonus, she not only has developed her own skin care line that is amazing (try the moisturizer- I can't live without it!!), but she has the most incredible and up to date machines at her fingertips if you're looking for coolsculpt.. Laser treatments.. Everything. I've told everyone I know about her because I can't say enough good things. If you're looking for a plastic surgeon don't look ANYWHERE else!
