Consulted with Dr. Crawford for my breast reconstruction. I was not happy with his recommendation and did not like his bedside manner. Even though I had been diagnosed with stage zero breast cancer, he almost insisted that I probably had a more aggressive version and would require more radiation treatment. Therefore he would not perform the type of reconstruction surgery that I wanted. I felt awful when I left his office. I am so glad I got another opinion and went with another surgeon. I'm sure he is a great plastic surgeon but would NOT recommend him for breast reconstruction.

Omg my experience with Dr. Crawford has been incredible from beginning to end. To begin with Dr. Crawford has a very friendly personality and a glowing smile that I noticed right away, from the moment he entered the room he made me feel extremely comfortable he asked me a couple of questions and listened without trying to talk on top of me which I was happy about. In the passed I've had 2 botched surgeries, from 2 different Dr's 1 which was a full tummy tuck that caused loss of skin in my bikini area as well as around my belly button and been experiencing abdominal pain which I believe is coming from scar tissue, this surgery was in 2001 at my hometown Brooklyn NY where I was born and raised and is now a medically necessary surgery due to so much abdominal pain that I experience on a daily basis and my medical insurance would had covered this surgery but refused to share this problem with my primary care doctor due to being embarrassed so I kept it to myself. The 2nd botched surgery I had was here in Johns Creek Georgia, I had a bbl done by a Dr. know as "Dr. Curves" one of the areas he was suppose to lipo was my hips but he did not lipo this area which I paid him for, when time passed I noticed that my hips were the same as before my bbl so I called his assistant and told her about it and she schedule another follow up to his office, when I showed her my hips I told her that I hope that Dr. Curves don't try to charge me again for something he was suppose to do the 1st time and when she left the room to get him the 1st thing he said to me when he came in the room was "I'm letting you know that I'm not gonna do this for free" I was shocked when he said that to me he was so rude, I never felt comfortable from the the beginning with him but I decided to choose him because of the reviews he had which I now believe that these reviews were done by his staff, family members and friends. Anyway when he left the room with his assistant she came back to the room with a bill that was almost 8,000 dollars. The pain I felt in my chest was horrifying I was extremely upset and never went back ever. I truly believe that the reviews he has are false. The day before my surgery with Dr. Crawford I couldn't sleep at night of fear of another botched surgery but somehow I woke up the day of surgery at ease that I made the right decision choosing this Dr. Crawford I thought to myself gosh he has his own show on lifetime so if he's on lifetime he has to be a good. Anyway I would like anyone considering a breast reduction to schedule a consultation with Dr. Crawford he did an amazing job on my breast reduction and and his staff Candice the front desk agent and Cassie his Assistant were incredibly awesome I'm so happy that I decided on choosing him for my surgery!!!

Dr. Crawford and his staff are amazing. I am a breast cancer survivor and Dr. Crawford came highly recommened by my breast surgeon who performed my bilateral mastectomy. I chose to have DIEP flap surgery and I'm so glad I chose Dr. Crawford to perform this surgery, along with his associate. It was a 12 hour surgery and at the very end I had to be put back under due to a complication. This is something Dr. Crawford noticed almost immediately and it was taken care of in no time. I thank him and his staff for helping to "put me back together" after all that breast cancer has taken away from me. I would recommend him to anyone.

The only reason I am giving Dr. Crawford 2 stars opposed to one, is his actual surgical skills are good. He may have a TV show and good reviews, but if you have any post-op complications, he will not be there for you. To be fair to him, I believe he rarely sees any problems so he simply doesn't know how to handle them. My left breast healed perfectly but my right side,(6 weeks post op) has a gapping whole that randomly will have fluid gushing out. As when a pregnant women's water breaks - it's not a small amount. We have had several follow up appointments with him about it and it was a total waste of time. I am currently on my fourth round of antibiotics and I my right breast is still swollen, hot to the touch and inflamed. To sum up my experience with Dr. Crawford, he simply isn't there for you when you need him, despite him having multiple opportunities. I will be following up with a different surgon. I would like to add that he operates at Kenneastone hospital. My experience with them was subpar in comparison to my surgical experiences at Northside hospital and Emory Midtown. His staff is also incredibly unprofessional. Be prepared to hear gossip and be treated with a tween- like attitude from his office staff. Updated10/25/16 Dr. Crawford had to open up my right breast and clean out an abscess. He was very friendly and compassionate. I bumped him to 3 stars. He said it is 1 in 3000 surgeries that end in an infection like mine. I just happened to be unlucky. I have to follow up with a infection specialist. I wish Dr. Crawford would have taken me serious sooner about it being infected. But once he saw how rapidly it spread, he acted fast and made me a priority.

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Crawford and his staff. When my breast cancer returned after 11 years I was told I had to have a mastectomy on my right breast. I chose to have a bilateral mastectomy in hopes of possibly preventing a reoccurrence. When I went to see Dr. Crawford he told me about DIEP reconstruction. DIEP reconstruction consist of an incision that removes your stomach fat and then that tissue is used to rebuild your breast, so no implants! I now have the flattest stomach I've ever had and my breast are the size I chose. When my time with Dr Crawford and his staff came to an end I was actually sad because they had become like family and took excellent care of me during a very unsettling time.

Dr Bailey did my Diep flap surgery, immediately after my breast surgeon completed the DM. He was a brilliant surgeon. My only regret is i should have added a small implant so my breast would be perfect forever. 6 months later my breast are still healing but they are perfect, no more back and shoulder pain. Ask about the charge before the initial appointment is scheduled. My wife came to visit Dr Crawford for an initial consultation and was told that she would need a note from a licensed chiropractor first before the surgery could/would be performed if the intent was for insurance to cover the procedure. Although this was a practical piece of advice, we were not told her insurance would be charged $600 for this consultation and anyone planning to visit Dr Crawford should be prepared to pay for the initial consultation where other doctors (with the same specialty) did not charge us for this same consultation.
