Gina was extremely rude to me on the phone. All I have to say is if you're having a bad day, don't take it out on other people... she slammed the phone on me. Not only that, but I got transferred to the contact lenses department and she told me, "I don't have a clue about contact lenses".

Best place ever for glasses! The showroom is literally like a luxury car dealership for eyewear!

I have been recommended to this place by many people and I called and they were very helpful I am looking forward to visit very soon.I am new on the area and I'm here to stay.

Great doctors and staff! Unfortunately, often long wait times.

Travis Walker

Your time is clearly not valued here. Accompanied my wife to her appointment to help watch our son and we ended up waiting two hours before being taken back. Whether it is an inability by the doctors to operate efficiently or a result of the staff booking way too many appointments in a given day, the wait time alone should deter you.

I would not recommend this clinic. They over schedule patients and the waiting room is a nightmare. They are getting two stars because they have cookies and coffee while you wait for 2+ hours in the waiting room.

It’s a shame that I have to write a bad review because I was thoroughly impressed with the ladies at the front desk and Edwin (who I think might be an office manager). They were so accommodating to my daughter and I when we walked in, someone held her while I filled out the paperwork and Edwin walked us back to the children’s waiting room. My nine month old has been having problems with her eyes for the passed few weeks, we thought it would be best to have an ophthalmologist take a look at her. Unfortunately, Dr. Guggino in South Tampa is on vacation for the whole month of April. He came highly recommended by other moms, but my daughter needed to be seen now. I made an appointment with Tampa Eye Clinic in advance. Our appointment was set for 9:30 and we were called back to the exam room around 9:40. Not too bad. The technician checked out my daughter and then moved us to an exam room. She gave my daughter a tiny rubber duck, which was very nice and said the doctor would be in. At 10:40 we had STILL not seen the doctor. My daughter was getting hungry, tired and she was wet. At 10:50 I finally walked out of the room and asked the technician what was going on. After all, our appointment was at 9:30. All she said was he was coming in our room next. She couldn’t tell me when “next” was going to be. I am a working mother. I was already two hours late from work and it was clear that the technician and the doctor could care less about their tardiness. I don’t have the time to sit for two hours post appointment time and I’m not about to lose my job. Edwin was very apologetic when I went to leave and said he would be looking into the delay, however, we will not be returning. It’s clear this ophthalmologist should not be working with children. You can not make a child wait over an hour in your exam room without some problems arising. We have now made an appointment with a doctor who exclusively works with children and will not be returning to this clinic.

I have been going to the Tampa Eye Institute for about 4 years now and have had excellent care from Dr. Reynolds. The ladies in the front office have never been rude to me. The only reason I cannot give a 5 star rating is because of the time I have had to wait, sometimes as long as 2 hours. Hopefully if they can take care of that negative, would surely give it a 5 rating. Always professional, have saved my right eye from losing sight, very happy with my Doctor and his staff. (P. I believe with technology, training, etc. of staff a clinic in business this long should be run better, be more organized and share info between staff and doctors better. .....dr Reynolds is great....but .....it gets harder and harder to deal with the rest. I have been trying to get in since Feb. with an eye issue. At that time painfipul, a person named Gino got back to me said probably dry eye..told me to get lubricant. It took the sharp pain away I was having. Not the crusting, etc. I called back.....then called back again....sorry no appts available. He wasn't a even made aware of it nor I guess was his staff...I guess. Today he gave me a script for allergy eye drops........I have went thru much discomfort in March and April. due to front desk saying no appts available till end of April and staff never returning call. Thank heavens it was not anything serious. Along with surgery having a Marsh and March confusion. Then going in for recheck after surgery ....and being told I was confused with which eye........had been done.....I said what's the birth date? W r o n g! It was for the other woman again! No matter how great a doctor is........we deal mostly with s t a f f ......TEC needs to get into more training and coordinating.......of s t a f f in offices and surgery center. At 75 I am getting very uncomfortable with trusting everyone there.

I had an 8:35am appointment. I was not brought back until 9:07am by Tammy. She was immediately very apologetic for the delay. She was very friendly, bubbly and down to earth. It was not fake. You could tell she was real and genuine. She took excellent care of me and explained the process and details involved with the procedures, pricing, etc. All too often people tend to only write a review when they have a negative experience but I wanted to be sure to take the time to recognize Tammy for her excellent people and customer service skills. She is a great asset. Kudos to Tammy.

Dear Dr. Lorenzen: I wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you very much for your accommodation to see me on extremely short notice. On the morning of Friday, June 8, 2012, I awoke to an inflammation of the eye. I did some internet searching and found what looked to be a very professional team in your group. At 6:43 AM, I called your overnight office answering service to see about scheduling a new patient appointment. I expected to be called around 9am when most office staffs start returning calls. Furthermore, I also expected that I would have to wait a week or more before getting an appointment. Shortly after hanging up with your service, you contacted me at approximately 6:55 am. To be honest, having a doctor call a new patient at that hour was surprising. My surprise was surpassed by the fact that you scheduled me for an appointment for 8am the same morning. Once arriving at the office, your staff promptly gathered my information and escorted me to the waiting room. In less time that it took me to take a sip of your free coffee in your waiting room, my name was being called by Pat, one of your nurses. She asked me several questions and did the initial evaluation. Within 10 minutes I was being examined by you. Quickly diagnosing my problem, your wrote me a prescription for antibiotics, recommended hot compresses, scheduled me for a follow up on Monday at the same time and I was on my way. The entire office visit took less than 45 minutes from start to finish. My eye infection has disappeared and I am back to normal. I wanted to let you know that this is the most professional medical office and staff that I have ever had the pleasure visit. You and your staff were amazing. I highly recommend you, Dr. Lorenzen, and the Tampa Eye Clinic for anyone wanting quality eye care! Thanks again.

Dr. Seeley, MD. is my eye doctor at the Tampa eye clinic and I've been a patient there for many years. Dr.Seeley, is one of the best doctors that I know of and he's very detailed and very patient. One thing I can say about doctor Seeley, is that he listen to your concerns and doesn't not rush you; I truly appreciate his patients, he's a great eye doctor. Doctor Seeley's assistance Amber and Kelli are awesome as well.

Rowan Turner

Poor service over the phone. It’s a nightmare trying to book an appointment without a hold time of 30 minutes. Even got hung up on a few times. Inconsistent information, and you guys still haven’t gotten my prescription correct. Switching to somebody else.

John Rowe

Twice, members of my family had serious eye issues. The staff got us in fast, literally within a few minutes with one of the times we had emergencies. The folks here are wonderful. I highly recommend Tampa Eye Clinic.

If it wasn’t for Dr. Reynolds and Dr. Orlick, I would be totally blind. 5 stars is not enough to truly express my gratitude.

Marsha Lanier

I drove 4 hours for an appointment with Dr. Sheiner. What a disappointment. He was extremely rude.

My mom is 90 years old and loves Dr Ronald Seeley. He is wonderful

I have been going to Tampa Eye Clinic for over 20 years and Dr. Leach is my ophthalmologist. He is one of the most caring, sincere and professionally talented physicians in any field of medicine that I have experienced over my lifetime. Dr. Leach and his staff exhibit a level of confidence and knowledge that puts you, as the patient, at ease which is critical in the healing process. Dr. Leach and his staff always completely communicate to you what actions they are currently performing and why, the diagnosis, the choices you may have as a patient, the recommended treatments available and the possible/probable outcomes. You are never left wondering about any part of the process. Much of the time I have seen Dr. Leach and his staff for rather routine issues. However, In February of 2016 Dr. Leach diagnosed shingles in my right eye, a very serious illness in which the loss of sight is very possible. After a year of very caring, professional and diligent care by Dr. Leach and his staff there is no evidence of shingles in my eye and no residual damage. Cataract surgery in my right eye had to be postponed because of the shingles but it was successfully completed on March 6 of this year by Dr. Leach. Once again I could not have asked for better care and results! My sight is tremendously improved. I would highly recommend Dr. Leach his staff and Tampa Eye Clinic as been the best in the business!

Deceptive Billing Here. I went in for a diabetic eye exam and I know my co pay should be $50. At check out they charged me $40 and called it a refraction test. I did sign the release that was among the intake paperwork that referred to the refraction test, so it is my own fault for not questioning it. Several weeks later, I received the bill for $50. My insurance paid their portion and I owed $50. To make it even trickier, the bill reflects what was billed for the diabetic test on 8/18 and what insurance paid and discounted on 8/29. Then the dates start again the refraction test was billed 8/18 and my visa payment shows on 8/21. So their dates are out of orders.. Would be nice to know my portion would $90 up front.

They hung up on me three times. Once after telling me to hold, the second time after telling me they will be right with me and a third time for no reason whatsoever. Disrespectful rude and don’t even know the professional titles of their doctors.

Cassandra Sampson

Being put on hold for 20 minutes to make an appointment is not very confidence inspiring. When I explained the situation the phone person said "well then what kind of appointment do you need?". Shouldn't that be their job to know what they call it based on a referral from another doctor? Clearly, she didn't. Hung up and called back to be put back on hold.

I thought my eyes were so sensitive that I could never wear contacts, because the thought of touching my eyes was impossible. Then, I developed cataracts requiring surgery. Imagine my stress level knowing the doctor was going to CUT my eye. I had no choice. It was the most amazing medical experience of my life. The eye was well numbed, and I was in and out of surgery in about ten minutes. It was so fascinating, I wanted to look around, but was reminded I was getting eye surgery. It felt like I closed my eyes, and touched my eyelid and pressed a tiny bit. That's it. I was out the door within ten minutes of leaving the operating room. I now have 20-20 vision, I think 50 years ago, I'd be blind!

Decided to use this clinic to remove my cataract. Dr Lorenzen is great but the front desk staff is very unprofessional. The lady with long dark hair and glasses at the billing desk told me that I was a " self pay disaster" in front of her coworkers as well. Patti in the back office was the only reason I continued the process. The problem is that nobody seems to know how much everything costs and they never let you know up front what the cost of anything is. Just an all around terrible experience for me. Dishonesty best describes this place. And rude employees. The only reason it received one star was because of the Doctor and Patti. I will NEVER RECOMMEND this place to anyone. I guess if you are paying out of your own pocket you are put in a whole other category at this office! Good luck!

AN EXEMPLARY EXPERIENCE Tampa Eye Clinic is an exceptionally well-managed, well organized and observably dedicated medical provider. After years of vision difficulties and a long struggle with prescription and non-prescription glasses, Dr. Leach performed Cataract surgeries on both of my eyes and Limbal Relaxing Incisions to correct persistent astigmatism on my left eye. At (almost) seventy years old, I no longer need, use (or even own) eyeglasses or any other vision aid(s). My last eye exam indicated that my vision now is 20/25 - I couldn't have imagined any better results. Dr. Leach is superbly skilled, noticeably courteous and sincerely interested in the well-being of his patients. His calming manners and respectful patience are genuine and deeply comforting. It is quite obvious that his leadership sets a shining example for his staff, as they strive to offer and maintain the highest standard of care my wife and I have experienced in quite a long time.

I can’t believe that it’s so hard to make an appointment with these clinic, They just leave you on hold into you decide to Hang up for the long wait, 40 minutes twice not nice at all.

Kenneth McLaughlin

Dr. Lorenzen did an absolutely amazing job surgically correcting the double vision I had as a result of a thyroid problem. Besides what seemed to be outstanding technical talent his manner dealing with his patients was also very comforting and reassuring.

My wife accidentally hurt her left eye working in the yard. After an emergency visit to St Joes we went to Tampa Eye for prof consultation and care. Dr Leach and his staff took this near blinding trauma very very seriously. They coordinated complicated surgeries, helped us navigate insurance and allayed our fears by answering all our questions. We will go back to Dr Leach for any other eyeball stuff we see ;)

I went in to look for frames. No sales help for 10 minutes. My friend had to go to their office and ask for help. The saleman showed me a frame that I liked for $100. While I was looking at other frames to compare it with, the frame suddenly disappeared. It turned up in the sales office with the price sticker missing. Now, I know I didn't go into their office and put the frame there. My friend didn't go into the office and put the frame there. So that leaves the 2 sales people. I asked to have the model number written down and inquired about the price. I told her I saw the price was $100, she said she thought it was higher. She had to look it up in the computer and guess what? The price is now $180. Soooo shady!!! Needless to say I didn't get the frames and I will never go back there again! BEWARE!!!! (BTW I looked up same frames online $100 retail price)

I had the worst experience at the tampa eye clinic. Waited for 2 hours, spoke to too many people just to get contact lenses and I still didn't get any. If you care about your time or your eyes, I hardly recommend going elsewhere.

Thomas Hanrahan

None better....Thank you Dr. Kasper

Never been here before but I walked in to look at Cartier glasses and was greeted by a lady that said Scott would be with me in a moment and Scott came out and asked if I needed any help or if I wanted to look at a pair to let him know. I found the pair I wanted and he helped me right away with measuring to see if they were the size I wanted and he prepared my order, also accommodated a request for a specific Cartier Glasses case which I truly appreciate. There was a problem with payment but that was on my banks end and I left to the bank to grab cash instead and came back and Scott completed the transaction with me very friendly, gave me some glasses wipes with a spray cleaner too. I will be returning to this place! I highly recommend this place they have plenty of staff and a very nice selection of brands on glasses, with good prices they are not ripping anyone off.
