He was able to diagnose whether I suffered from a rare eye disorder and then promised to keep my eyes healthy and sight intact ...which he has done over the last 8 years. In the surgeries needed, he was caring and reassuring and all went well. There is no one better to care for and treat you and your family.

Thank God, for Dr. Geoffrey M. Kwitko !! I had surgery about a year prior from a different Ophthalmologist on Medical Blvd., Spring Hill, FL. The result was not acceptable by me or the doctor. My cornea was exposed and my vision was reduced causing constant eye watering & pain. I went to Tampa for corrective surgery by Dr. Kwitko. Results: My vision was restored to normal. The watering , burning & pain ceased. I could never express my gratitude to Dr. Geoffrey M. Kwitko. I would recommend anyone needing eye or facial surgery to consult him. He is a skilled professional surgeon.

My wife suffered severe dry eye syndrome for years. She used countless eye drops, lubricating gels at night etc to try to correct the problem. Nothing helped. She was referred to Dr Kwitko by her optometrist and Retina specialist. She had strong reservations and was skeptical about the surgery being that we only have one set of eyes . Her surgery was a breeze, and recovery very minimal. Dr Kwitko's staff was excellent and very compassionate. To her, he is the best in Tampa. Highly recommend..

Watch out for this guy. I went to see him for a double vision problem I developed in Dec. 2018. After examining me (for $800). He told me I had a few issues, one being abrasions on my corneas. He said this was caused by my lower lids not coming up high enough and that I should undergo a lid lift to correct the problem. If I didn't, it could lead to future problems with my corneas. I agreed and scheduled the procedure. The very next day, I had an appointment with the office that did my cataract surgery several years earlier. Following my exam, I asked about the condition of the corneas and was told that they were fine with no abrasions or other issues. This was further confirmed my son ( an optomotrist) and he cautioned against having the procedure done. When I called to cancel the appointment with Kwitko, He personally got on the phone to convince me to keep the appointment. I ultimately canceled again and never went back. He never really did address the double vision issue which was why I went to see him in the first place. I honestly believe he was trying to generate a sale of the procedure he apparently specializes in. Perhaps that is how he can afford his two seater AMG Mercedes sports car that he drives. Bottom line....If you go to see this guy for anything (which I do not recommend), get a second opinion>

I initially came in to see Dr.Kwitko for pain behind my eye and swelling behind my eye. When I walked in I was greeted by a refreshingly nice and friendly office staff, not to mention efficient, after I filled out my paperwork, within 10 minutes of handing over my paperwork and paying my copayment I was called back for testing. After my testing I went back to the waiting room and to my surprise, Dr.Kwitko called us back himself, most doctors won't take that kind of time out for their patients, Kudos Dr.Kwitko! I was placed into an exam room and waited maybe.. 5 minutes before Dr.Kwitko came in. One of the first things I noticed about Dr,Kwitko was how kind and compassionate he was towards the problems I have been dealing with. He genuinely wanted to help me feel better and improve the health of my eyes. I was then dilated and waited for some further testing he wanted to do that day, I was so impressed by how thorough he was, if he had the slightest feeling that something wasn't right he would test for it, just to be safe. At the end of the appointment we discussed a plan of treatment, and within 2 days the pain was gone and the swelling behind my eyes had decreased significantly, and completely by the end of the week! Finally! The previous doctor i went to couldn't do anything for me but give me drops that didn't have any affect on me. I'm so thankful for having gone to see Dr.Kwitko and grateful for his help. I haven't had any regret with my decision to have him treat me, he didn't leave anything to chance, and when it comes to my health I couldn't ask for anything more from my doctor. Thanks Dr.Kwitko for all that you've done for me and my health!

Dr. Kwitko is a world-class doctor! He is the doctor other doctors use for themselves and their families, which is the failsafe sign of the best doctor (because while some doctors will refer to others based on a contractual agreement, they will themselves go to the one they know to be the best)! Dr. Kwitko is a great surgeon, he diagnoses diseases others miss, and he is genuinely concerned with his patients and motivated only by what is best for them. He always follows best practices and sets the standards for others in his field. He is so highly regarded nationally in his field that he is regularly invited to present papers at the Academy meetings of the AMA and to write chapters for the medical school text books. He also has a great staff in his office and for surgery. We are very fortunate to have doctors of this extraordibary caliber practicing in Tampa.

I saw Dr. Kwitko for a bulging left eye. It was painful and I had loss of vision. the office bent over backwards to accomodate my hectic schedule and got me in quite quickly. The staff was couteous and worked with my insurance and i had no probelms. Dr kwitko immediately knew what my probelm was and orderred the appropriate tests and his diagnosis was correct. The staff helped me book all my tests and got all approvals from my insurance. Surgery was booked and my surgery went smoothly and my results were amazing. The pain is gone and my eye looks great. Dr. Kwitko and his staff are second to none. Highly recommended.

Dr. Kwitko was able to reconstruct my eyelid when 3 other doctors botched the job. it looks perfect. while in the waiting room there were about 15 other patients all singing his praise. i noticed the previous review said he liked the doctor and staff but never complained about the job dr. kwitko did. all he complained about was the cost. Recently I found a spot of skin cancer on my right eyebrow, at the edge of my eye orbit (skull). Because of the excellent work Dr. Kwitco has done for me previously, he was my first choice for the delicate surgery I would need for the skin cancer removal. Dr. Kwitko has treated my wife, Maggie, since August 2014 for her long history of Graves Eye Disease. Maggie had previously had orbital decompression of the optic nerves & subsequent numerous reconstructive eyelid surgeries. I am the happiest girl in the world. I have hated people always asking me if I'm ok and that I look exhausted. I was also terrified of surgery. Especially anesthesia and recovery. I was spending a fortune on botox and eye creams and not getting the results at 55 that I had in the past. I wound up seeing Dr. Kwitko for some eye issues. He assured me I would be ok if I chose to do the surgery. No pressure. His staff was patient with me about how the surgery would take place as well the recovery. My friend was inspired and had the same surgery done elsewhere. She had complications and needed a second surgery to revise the first one. It could have been bad luck for her but all I can say is that Dr. Kwitko gave me the best results I could have ever dreamed of.

Fantastic Doctor Kwitko! I went to 6 doctors before I was referred to this wonderful doctor. 10 out of 5 stars! I had a tumor in my right eye socket inside of the lacrimal gland which caused me fatigue, pain, irritation, inflammation, vision strain, and blurred vision. I saw the Fantastic Dr. Kwitko for the first time 2 weeks ago, having previously done an MRI from a previous doctor, he quickly diagnosed my condition and scheduled my surgery that day. My outpatient surgery was this past Wednesday, which was quick and successful in a clean and sanitary hospital. Every member of his team has been informative and professional. Having just done my follow up appointment and am doing very well with all of my previous complaints and symptoms gone! Thank you and God bless Dr. Kwitko!!!

Dr. Kwitko did for me what a few other doctors couldn't. I had basal cell carcinoma between my eye and nose. One doctor tried unsuccessfully to remove it in her office. After 3 attempts and not being able to get clean margins, she had to stop and I had to have a scan to see where the cancer had spread. She consulted with other doctors and they didn't know where exactly to send me. I was sent to three other doctors who said they couldn't do what needed to be done and that I would need several doctors in succession to fix my problem. Then I was referred to Dr. Kwitko. After reviewing my records and scan, he said he didn't see the problem. He not only removed the cancer, but he rebuilt the orbit of my eye and reconstructed the tear duct and also did the plastic surgery. I am forever grateful for him and his great abilities.

Dr. Kwitko is a brilliant diagnostician and extremely skilled surgeon. I am beyond grateful to him for restoring my clear vision. I had put up with excess tears spilling out of both eyes for over two years because other doctors diagnosed me with dry eye. It took Dr. Kwitko about 10 minutes to recognized the cause of my tearing and offer a sound (and ultimately successful) solution. I live in South St Pete and although I had to make the drive, I think I finished faster than most offices driving to St Pete. The office was beautifully appointed and the staff was friendly and attentive. Dr. Kwitko does amazing work! I was referred to him by my ophthalmologist, I had a severe infection in my eye. He examined me and immediately took action, arranging for me to be admitted to the hospital upon arrival and pre-op work started for surgery the next day. He removed the sack of infection and inserted a tube to repair a blocked tear duct. Due to infection, etc. he actually did 3 surgeries, all through the same small incision. It's been 4+ months since this all started. The tube is now out, and no infection. I am so grateful for his skillful work (No scar!) and his quick action. I was pretty sick for awhile, could have been much worse. During follow-up visits, I had a chance to view other work he had done. If my husband or I ever need an eyelid lift, he's our man! If you are doing research of potential doctors to preform your eyelid surgery, stop, you have found an excellent doctor in Dr. Kwitko. I doubt if anyone is better in this field of surgery in the Tampa Bay Area. I recently had corrective surgery for droopy eyelids (not the exact medical term for my condition). Within a minute of my first meeting with the good doctor in his MacDill Avenue office, I knew I found someone that I could trust to do the job right. He gave me straight answers and a plan of action during the first meeting. He inspired confidence in me that I was in good hands. Within two weeks of my office visit, the surgery was completed. (A surgery day for each eyelid.) Once the healing was complete (initially I looked like I had a bad encounter with Mike Tyson), my eyelids were back up where they should be. I was very pleased that my eyelids looked normal, not with a "wide awake" or "surprised look" that a friend of mine had happen to him with his eyelid surgery with another doctor. A couple of other points: -Plenty of parking at his office -I never had to sit around for a long time in his lobby. He keeps things moving. -The staff is very professional and helpful. They handled all of the insurance paper work and always knew the status of it. I did't have to get involved with my insurance company. The admin staff is great! -I saw a picture of him holding a pet dog. Gotta respect someone that likes dogs.

I wanted to share my experience with Dr Kwitco. I called his office after having extreme pain in my left eye. After speaking to Dr Kwitco he had me come right in to his office to be examined. After the exam I was sent for further testing to make sure there was nothing serious going on. The follow up visit was just a few days later. They set up all the testing and follow ups and even in the end the referal to the ear nose and throat specialist. First off, the office hadn't contacted my insurance to verify ahead of time that my insurance would pay (even though they had my info 1 week prior to visit). It took them approx. 40 minutes to do so once I arrived. Then it took another 30-40 minutes before I was called in for my eye exam. Afterwards another 30 minutes of waiting for the doctor to call be into his office and dilate my eyes and another 30 minutes before being called back in to actually do another eye exam once eyes were dilated. He lines his patients up in several different rooms all at once and spends very little time with each one. Doesn't allow enough time for patient interaction and questions and interrupts when I'm trying to explain in detail my situation. I felt like he was there trying to make as much money in little time possible lining patients up and spending little time. In the end he couldn't even tell me what was wrong which scared me. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone!!!! Poor customer service and overall bad experience!!!!

If you have umr avoid as they will bully you and claim 20 years of custom service as a blanket response. I was referred to Dr. Kwitko after experiencing strange results from an eye exam. I overheard the receptionist at the referring office call to confirm they receieve UMR. I then spent the next two days being told because I'm trying to get in they wouldnt conference UMR nor call UMR on my behalf but claim that I'm considered out of network to visit and tried give me trepidation at scheduling an appointment it would seem based off my name or some other ism I couldn't be bothered to figure because finally I got the doctors # called UMR directly confirmed they do consider him on my plan to be in network so I have them email me the information so that I can forward it to their offices. I then call to confirm the appointment andim rushed off the phone tolda time and date but not which location and hastely hung up on! I call back asking at that point to speak to a supervisor andahw scoffs at me declaring she's been there for 20 yrs, her boss would be Dr. Kwitko himself and good luck with that. I was then placed on hold and he came on not really concerned with why I took the time to tell him his staff who hos the face of hoa company is rude and leavesa wanting impression and lacking information. If the people have been staffedfor 20 years and can't stopped to remember the people on phones aren't just voices and that they need to know when getting booked for a 570$ sit down to just be told they will likely need an MRI or test if not more then another follow-up that it's goodto know if they are driving to macdill Ave or I don't know, another town such as Brandon where your second office is. Or would I be at fault for not being at the appointed time since she hung up on me? Your tone and flippant attitude toward me made me call UMR to report you to remove your standing. How can you be trusted to handle someone's eyes if you are so callous and are so blind to the behaviour of your own staff?

The staff and doctor were friendly. The surgery went well. However when I asked about payment they said the surgery center would call me later and go over what I owed after Insurance. I got a call and it was 470 to have the surgery after insurance. I had the same surgery last year in New York for 270 dollars. However, weeks later I got a bill of 1500 dollars I owed to the office for the surgery. So all said and done I could have bought flight tickets to new York and back with surgery for roughly 1000 dollars less.
