This was hands down the most pleasant experience I've ever had at the dentist. Dr. A's dental savings plan, for those of us with no dental coverage, cannot be beat by anyone in the state of Florida. The entire staff at gentle dentistry went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied at every step of my visit. I've left every visit feeling like I was their number 1 priority, not just during my check ups, but from the time I step foot into the office. Best dentist in Tampa, hands down!!!

I am long time patient of Dr. Rasmussen and have very complicated dental needs. She is a true expert, problem solving and coming up with solutions that other dentists would not have been able to even consider. Her work is impeccable and she always takes the time to make sure the work is exactly right. Her staff is excellent, with Sonja the creative temporary crown maker and assistant extraordinaire, and Alexis the hygienist, who will have you clean in no time and smiling along the way. I cannot recommend this practice strongly enough -- no other dentist will ever touch my teeth!

Dr. A and her staff are first class all the way. Like many others, I had fear and anxiety regarding dental procedures. They go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable, understand the procedures, and that you experience zero discomfort. Due to my reluctance over the years to see the dentist, I am paying for it now, but I know I am in the best hands available. I doubt the dentist is anyone's favorite place to be, but I no longer dread the thought of going, if anything I look forward to it now and maintaining a healthy smile. I strongly recommend Dr A and her highly experienced staff, they are without question the best around at what they do!

Amazing staff. I have huge anxiety issues when it comes to dentists. The staff and doctor Kirsten made sure I was comfortable and even offered some laugh gas for a cleaning to help me relax. The facility is very clean. They deal with the inuance companies for you. Just amazing. I highly recommend them. And their prices are low compared to other dentists.

I broke a crown Saturday and called very early Monday morning to see if Dr Angela could work me in. They told me to come in at 11:00 AM at which time I was taken back and examined and the solution determined. Tiffany and Dr A worked on me for about 2 1/4 hours and I left with a perfectly fitting temporary crown, with the permanent crown due in 2 weeks. Later that evening Dr A called me at home to see how I was doing. This caring is what has kept me coming back to Gentle Dentistry for 28 years!

I consider myself very lucky because twenty four years ago I met a very special person – Dr. Angela Rasmussen. I was sitting in a dental chair when I first saw Dr. Angela. I need to mention that my experience with dental care back in Russia was not good at all, so I was pretty anxious. Yet, when I looked at my new dentist, I knew that everything will be fine. Her blue eyes radiated warmth and care; they were telling me that I could trust her with my life. I wanted to smile at her but I couldn’t – my front teeth look so bad that I learned not to do it. Almost as if she read my mind, Dr. Angela Rasmussen asked me if it bothered me. “Yes, - I replied, - but there is nothing anybody can do.” I was surprised to hear that she could help me, and thee weeks later I had beautiful white teeth. For the first time in my life I could smile! There were so many times when I was told “You are lucky, you have beautiful teeth.” And I always replied “I am lucky because I have a great dentist.” For more than twenty years I did not have any problems but then I had an infection in my front tooth, which required a tooth extraction. Suddenly, I became embarrassed by my appearance again. The problems I had with my teeth and gums were complicated and my treatment was lengthy but after Dr. Angela Rasmussen put new veneers and a new crown I felt thrilled. My teeth look so natural, they look like I was born with them. Nobody can tell the difference. For the second time Dr. Angela Rasmussen returned my smile to me. Not only she does high quality of work but she always considers the cosmetic aspect of what she does. She knows, understands how important for a woman not only to have healthy teeth but to have beautiful teeth, teeth that made a lot of people envious! I feel confident about myself now, in my profession and personally and I have back the gorgeous smile I always wanted. I came to this office after having a horrible experience with having my teeth removed from another dentist. Initially I came to see if there was anything that could be done with the dentures. Dr. Angela was so nice. I immediately liked her and we talked about my dentures and what I could do. She talked about implants which I really didn’t know much about. She referred me to her husbands office for a free consultation. After the consultation with him regarding the implants and what they would entail I went back to her for a consultation regarding the teeth. I ultimately decided to go ahead with the surgeries. Dr. Angela’s office and Sonya were wonderful during all stages of the transition. Sonya took care of realigning my dentures all along the process of the implants and was so kind when I called so many times, many times in panic mode.I have come to think of them as friends. From start to finish the process took 1 year and 3 months. Today I had my final upper restoration. They are wonderful. They look very natural and it is such a relief not to have something on the roof of my mouth and not to have to glue dentures and worry all the time. I am so happy that I walked into her office that day. I highly recommend Dr. Angela’s office for all your dental needs. My husband also comes here now and he is very pleased with the services he has received. They also have a great hygienist Alexis who is very thorough and very gentle. If you are looking for a dentist this is definitely the place to go. They know their stuff and they treat you like family. They have heart and now a days that is hard to find.

And Ms. Alexis Nold, her hygienist, is the consummate and caring professional as well -- with her unfailing warmth, ever-present smile, and wonderful sense of humor. Frankly, I rather look forward to my visits to Dr. A's office! My recent visit was a routine one, to see both Ms. Nold and Dr. A., but as Dr. A. had to be away I had the pleasure of finally meeting her daughter, Dr. Kirsten Rasmussen. Dr. K. performed my routine examination, including an oral cancer screening, and she did so expertly and thoroughly, in my estimation. Dr. K. is a delightful, welcoming dentist who clearly appears to have in her professional DNA the same charm, good humor and caring for her patients as that of her mother (and father, Dr. Richard Rasmussen). I'm new to the Tampa area and had a crown fall out so I needed to see a dentist quickly. I called Gentle Dentistry and Diana was extremely helpful in getting me in to see Dr. A in an hour and a half. I met Diana and Rachel at the front desk and they took the time to explain what my copay would be when I had questions about coverage. Rachel who took the X-rays before seeing Dr. A made me feel comfortable and was careful to not take x-rays that weren't needed. When I met Dr. A, she was very kind and took the time to listen to my extensive history. She got the crown cemented back on and took the time to talk to be about tooth care and what she recommends. Throughout the process she checked on my pain level and got my feedback before she moved on to each next step. Without me even being an existing patient, she took the extra time to answer my questions and advise me daily dental care. After everything was done, Diana took the time to look over my insurance history and caught a mistake that was made on an earlier appointment with a different dentist. She informed me of the mistake and advised me on what I should do to have it fixed. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience.

Dr Rasmussen and team are excellent. I have been a patient since 2009, and have always had good experiences. I never have to worry about pain, Dr R makes sure I don’t feel anything. My sibs were amazed when they saw how nice my teeth looked. My husband and daughter use Dr Rasmussen also. she did an excellent repair on my daughters chipped front tooth. Looks very natural. I recommend her to all my friends. It may cost more out of pocket, but worth every penny. Great dental practice!
