This review should have submitted back in May, but, due to circumstances it has been delayed. In May I went to Dr. Davidson to have a small lump checked out inside my lower gum. Dr. Davidson was most certain it was oral cancer. A biopsy prove him correct. I liked the way Dr. Davidson handed me the news, straight up and blunt, either have it taken care of at Moffitt Cancer Center or get my affairs in order. That could have been the end of our relationship but Dr. Davidson and his staff went out of their way to help us in the process of contacting Moffitt and even helped in setting up my first appointments. From day one, I have felt very comfortable with Dr. Davidson and his entire staff. and will still use Dr. Davidson's office and services in the future. My journey with Moffitt is slowly winding down and since I've had several massive surgery s I am going to have to have implants and if I have my choice it will be done in this office. Dr. Davidson took them out and he can put them back in. In short, I want to thank Dr. Davidson and his entire staff for actually saving my life. It's been a really rocky road and at times I've want to say I've had enough, but I love life and I love my family. One more thing, the surgeon that removed the tumor said it was the largest oral tumor that Moffitt can remove, and may have been there dormant for up to 5 years. SEMPER FI and SEMPER PARATUS

I will never use this dentist again. He doesn't listen to the patients wishes and will try to over charge you when ever possible. RUN FROM THIS DENTIST

Dr. Davidson and his team were amazing with me! I had my wisdom teeth taken out and was extremely nervous and the whole team made me feel so comfortable! Would definitely recommend Dr. Davidson and will definitely be back I need be in the future! Thank you all so much!

I had a wisdom tooth coming in causing constant pain in my mouth. They got me in the day after I called for an appointment, and were able to get me in for surgery the day after the consultation. The everyone of the staff was super nice and professional. The surgery went great, and they provided everything and more necessary for recovery. They even called in the next day to check up on how I was doing. I absolutely recommend this place, and the room I had even had a lovely view.

Dr. Davidson served in the Marine Corp and the Navy. He is very personable to talk with and his staff is well trained. I recommend anyone seeking a great DDS to visit him and his staff. After insurance, l only paid $10 for a tooth extraction.

Dunno why people keep saying he's rude. He was actually kinda funny last time I was there.

Best oral surgeon around period . No jokes are games don’t listen to these people in the comments either their perception of things was off because the whole staff was amazing you go to sleep wake up feels like it takes 1 minute the pain after is managed too best oral surgeon hands down can’t say thank you enough

Staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. They made a difficult experience of a teenager's wisdom teeth removal, not so terrible. My daughter's surgery was a success. She was relaxed and comfortable, which was beyond important to us.

The staff there are very professional, clear cut and straight to the point. I think they have everything down to a science and things seem to just flow so easily. I personally loved my experience, I just got my wisdom teeth removed &the office manager explained my benefits to and just like that it was done the next day. I don't see any of the the problems the previous people mentioned. I highly recommend. The doctor is very compassionate, friendly and professional. Only negative I would mention is that the staff have things down to such a routine it almost seems as if I missed our interactions but I cant say it was from being rude. And some folks don't care for the small talk I do.

My 8 year old was referred here by her orthodontist and I’m honestly embarrassed this is who he chose. I walk in for a 4 pm appointment to 10 people sitting in waiting room, no seats at all, staff running around chaotically trying to check a patient out while I’m still waiting for someone to greet me. After 8 minutes, she asked me if I filled out the information online. I said no. She rudely tells me I need to fill it out. I ask her then at this point how long before she’s evaluated? She tells me at least 45 minutes. Yet, when I scheduled her appointment they told me she wouldn’t even see the oral surgeon even though she needed an X-ray and an evaluation. What? But they told me last phone call it would be super quick! When I told her I wasn’t going to wait she asked me if I wanted to reschedule I said no thank you, we will go elsewhere she tells me oh good that’s even better! LOL!!! On top of that, I called another oral surgeon office for them to tell me the X-ray is not covered by dental insurance. Which we have a very good PPO plan. So, tell me when they planned on telling me this? I, myself have been to an oral surgeon before and it was calm, peaceful, and relaxing. This was a nightmare!!!

Honest Reviews

Overall Great experience... Great Dr. And staff! Make you feel very comfortable every step of the way. Without question! One of my best dental experiences.

Had to check this out for ourselves. While no one was "warm and fuzzy", they were cordial. Dr is a decorated Vet. which, for us, explains his "matter of fact" manner. This was a consult only, so we can't speak to performance. In a nutshell, they know their stuff and they are there to provide a service.

This review has been written on behalf of my son: Our dentist will never again refer patients to this oral surgeon after hearing of our experience plus another similar complaint in the same week. If I hadn't been there, I would have seriously doubted that Dr. Davidson could act as rudely, egotistically, impatiently, and totally without compassion as I found him to be during my consult. I expect he is technically qualified but he displayed a TERRIBLE bedside manner. He seems to have forgotten that patients are people who can be very afraid of surgery and are already stressed before they come to see him. Details? He entered the exam room apparently having already made up his mind to not discuss my oral surgery need because my blood pressure reading that day was higher than normal and I had answered honestly on his intake form that I had experienced chest pain in the past. He spoke from behind me and only came around the chair to look at me after I had asked if I could please be allowed to complete a sentence (he had interrupted my questions several times at that point). He loudly proclaimed that he was committed to the "do no harm" aspect of the Hippocratic Oath but his words and attitude toward me were extremely confrontational and belittling. He seemed incredibly offended that I might want to explain that one factor for my high blood pressure reading that day was likely my fear of doctors and he acted offended that I would attempt to determine a solution to our impasse. He actually proclaimed that he had gone to school for 19 years after high school to get where he was today, inferring that he is the expert and that I could not possibly offer any valuable input in the matter of my safety during my requested surgery. These statements were made with raised voice and arms crossed across over his chest, especially when I requested that he walk around from behind the chair so I could see him, at which time his interruptions paused only very briefly. He indicated that I had no right to suggest that we might be able to figure out a way to overcome obstacles in order to get me the oral surgery I desperately need. He literally stormed out of the room when he decided he was not going to discuss it further. If you don't care about how a doctor treats you, you may find him to be knowledgeable and surgically skilled. I figure that if he can't have a civil conversation with me nor demonstrate any concern regarding my perspective, I doubt I'd entrust him to be committed to protect my health while I'm under anesthesia (except, perhaps, to keep himself from looking bad). Apparently, I'm not a person to him, just a problem. I felt sorry for his staff and the others in the waiting room as I left the building. Update: I've since visited and been tested by a cardiologist who had no hesitation in giving me complete clearance for surgery in writing.

I had an absolutely great experience here when getting my wisdom teeth removed. The front desk staff was great at helping me make appointments to meet my schedule and the nurses and doctor where extremely friendly. I'm terrified of the dentist and they made it a very comfortable experience. If I had any wisdom teeth left I'd let them remove them.

Dr. Davidson came highly recommended by my daughter's orthodontist. His staff was very professional and we were very pleased with his work.

If I had a choice I would never bring my kid to your practice. But unfortunately this is the only place that is not in Tampa that takes her insurance. My child has been in pain for weeks and I got her into your practice 2 weeks in advance and 2 days prior to her appointment I get a call saying that the dentist has a prior engagement. Now mind you I have had this appointment for 2 weeks. Now she has to wait till the 15th. This just shows me that you all don't care about your patients. Why should I spend my money to your practice for all four wisdom teeth to get removed? I would rather take her somewhere that would make her a priorty.

Lauren Zampitella

HOW COULD YOU PRESCRIBE A AMOXICILLIN TO A PATIENT AND NOT EVEN CONSIDER DIFLUCAN IF THE PATIENT IS EXPERIENCING SEVERE SIDE EFFECTS. HORRIBLE. Bare minimum oral surgeon at best.

I agree with the other reviews about this dentist. He is rude and unprofessional. He is horrible at communicating with patients. I cancelled all future appointments and will be getting my surgery elsewhere. It has actually made me question my dentist, who referred me to him, because clearly they are not considering my best interests. Absolutely awful experience - DO NOT GO HERE.

Chaotic office staff failed to reorder supplies, Dr.Jack temperment was very unprofessional with remaining under control.Ugly first impression. He is pro at his craft as a practicing doctor however his billing staff sucks! Prior to a office visit its the staff job to verify before service rendered.Especially whether coverage or extra expenses are not covered.Office billing lacks knowledgeable icd10 codes and dispute knowledge.Prepare to have a claim fued appeal.Office staff are inadequate in doing there job titles.

Our son had four wisdom teeth removed there no issues. This complaint isn't against the doctor. It's against Patty their office manager or financial processor not sure what her title is. Anyway we had the procedure done in November of 2016. So we go back with our daughter yesterday for her consult. Met with patty for financial. So I asked her why I needed to pay a $200 deposit up front when that wasn't required on the first estimate paper for my son in November. She tells me it's always been that way. So she looks up his account and tells me we have a balance of $524.80 when we paid $414 the day of the surgery back in November with an original quote of $494 the $80 (supposed to be $90) was taken off because of paying a portion of the deductible at the neighboring dental office a week prior to the procedure. So today she calls this am and tells me she sees no payment for his proceedure. So I tell her I have the original receipt for $414 and she says "oh yeah I do too! "You owe the difference' Here we are almost a year later and we have our daughter here for a $2000 contracted insurance price proceedure and she's trying to bill us for her clerical error from the last time we were here!!! So we cancel her proceedure and are going with another local oral surgeon. If they can't make things right a year later that's poor customer service and doesn't deserve our families business! All she did was hand me a bill for $110 for the proceedure back in November. It's sad her customer service is so bad....she hung up on us hence why we had to go into the office!!! If I hung up on a customer at my job I would lose my job! Very unprofessional! They rather forfeit My daughters surgey business along with our 2 younger children (14) that need this same surgery soon instead of just fixing her clerical error. Even if we did owe a difference why would you charge a patient almost a year later that never received any bills prior to today???? Write off your error!!! Not doing business here ever again and wanted others to be warned of surprise bills 1 year later. Usually when this happens something fishy is going on in the billing department have seen it before in a doctor's office the person was eventually terminated.

While I wish I never had to have surgery on my mouth, the staff and surgeon at Dr. Davidsons office made the experience easy, and the work and my recovery have turned out very well. You are in good hands with this office. Literally.

Mark Fagan

My experience was 5 stars, let’s face it going to have any type of surgery is not a dream come true and it’s like any project rarely does it turn out to be perfect. I went in as schedule to have one wisdom tooth removed and as I was being sedated my blood pressure got a little high so instead of Mr. Davidson and is staff risk anything happens to me they pulled me back out for my own health. In my opinion that is a selfless act and money was not his number one objective. So, I reschedule a few weeks later and everything went smooth as expected. Great staff front, and back office and professional is an understatement when it comes to the Doctor. Thanks for everything and Jack ( Role Tide ).

Ashley Brown

As bad as I need my wisdom teeth taken out, I cannot go back to this office. Sharon the receptionist/insurance person She is rude, she yells, she argues with patients, her face is not friendly at all. She was so nasty too me. I told her that she needed to calm down and stop being hostile and her response was “that’s your opinion” I complained to the doctor about how she treated me and he didn’t seem concerned at all. He apologized but that was it. If I had a staff that was causing me to miss out on patients then I would remove them immediately. That was ridiculous. Dr.Davidson can not control his staff and that is going to be the reason he loses business. (The staff do not wear name badges but she said her name was “Sharon”)

Kristen Willig

My experience was great! I dont really care for dentist offices but it was so clean and staff so super friendly and helpful. I have a fear of needles and his staff made me feel so comfortable for my surgery. I healed so well was one of the easiest suergies i ever had. Caring staff and great doctor. All the bad reviews on here are wrong they dont lie someone who is straight up with them. I would go here again!

Ariel Vega

The staff was very kind and also the procedure was fast and painless. After there was little pain and burning which is to be expected. I had a frenectomy and no insurance to cover the costs. Dr. Davidson is an awesome surgeon. Keep doing what you do!

Shannon Wheatley

Dr. Davidson and his staff took great care of me throughout the process of my implant. From the initial visit for x-rays, the actual procedure and the follow-up afterwards, I was in great hands. The doctor and staff were professional and pleasant. I would highly recommend Dr. Davidson and his team!!

Irmi Kurtzweil

I am the biggest chicken on earth and had 5 bottom teeth pulled today I just got home a little bit ago. And I am impressed from the staff to Dr. Davidson, awesome team. they made sure I was comfortable and explained everything... I would say I would go there again but I have no teeth left so.... :). But I really had a great experience.

This office has poor scheduling and lacks professionalism. We arrived for our 3pm appointment, did not get called back until 4:30pm. Never once did the staff keep us updated about wait time, delay, etc. The appointments after mine were sitting there as well and very frustrated for the long wait. I would have left but, I pulled my son out of school early and I did not want to use up another school day. The doctor finally came in around 5pm just to tell us they need more information from my dentist (since it was a referral) but, they already left for the day by that point. Hence my time was royally wasted!! 2 hours and I got nothing accomplished! My time is important too, just not for this office. They said they would get back to me next day and never did. I called my dentist three days later and asked if they reached out to them and they responded no. I requested a different referral. Never going back here again. Such poor service all around and not worth your time!

Al Rivera

I had a great experience regarding a biopsy procedures with Dr Davidson. He was informative, strait to the point, and explained the procedure vey well and in plain English. The staff was cordial, and helpful, they even help me out with filling with my insurance company. Overall it was a great experience.

Bruce Scott

I have had two teeth extracted and two implants done. One was done seven years ago and one recently completed. No problems. I would offer the highest recommendation. All four procedures were virtually painless (only minor discomfort for a day). Dr. Davidson took great care to ensure all the little things were done properly. He even made sure the stiches did not rub against the cheek during healing. Dr. Davidson and his staff explained everything in advance. The follow up care was outstanding.

I gave you guys a 5 star because if they had more I would have given 10 the stuff is amazing the dentist was also amazing very very funny and did not sugarcoat anything got straight to the point and for my first time getting 2 teeth pulled it wasn't so bad when the staff called me the next day I felt that they cared. I was having was having trouble with Amoxicillin and when I called they made sure I got a new prescription so thank you for dr. Davison and your staff

Jillian Grall

The staff was extremely nice but Dr. Davidson was completely unprofessional and rude. I cancelled my appointment and am getting my surgery elsewhere.

Day C

Do not go here. They don't tell you that you have to notify 48 hours to cancel appointment and get the $200 deposit back. The receptionist was rude. Never met the doctor. I pretty much paid $200 and wasted two hours of my time waiting to be greeted after walking through the door WITH all of the documentation printed out. VERY POOR SERVICE.
