Recently I underwent open heart surgery at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. During that operation, wires were put in place, and as I understand it, for support to my rib cage. About two weeks later when I was being treated at home by Visiting Nurses, I developed a serious infection due to my body rejection of the wires and had to be admitted to Penn again for another operation for the removal of the wires, and different measures taken to support my ribs and remove all of the infection. This second operation was performed by Dr. Steven Kovach, different from my first surgeon. Dr. Kovach was a very through and informative surgeon who will take the time to sit, talk and answer any questions you might have for him. I am totally pleased with his expertize of making me feel comfortable with both the pre and post operation and also with his professional workmanship throughout the entire procedure. I hold high esteem for Dr. Kovach for my entire experience with him and highly recommend him for any procedure one might need. I think knowing how the feeling of being in good hands before an operation puts a mind at ease and makes for a better outlook for good results. Having confidence in your surgeon is a big part on winning the battle, so start off on the right foot. Thank you Dr.Kovach for the comfortable experience I shared with you during my stay at Penn.
Sincerely
