I unfortunately experienced a total deflation of the saline implant in my right breast resulting in scar tissue and a great deal of discomfort. I was looking for a plastic surgeon in the area as my first surgery was 13 years ago when I was living in NJ. Dr. Jean's practice came up when doing a quick Google search. I was pleased from my first appointment. Dr. Jean was welcoming and listened to what I had to say. He took the time to explain everything that was going on with my body and laid out all of my options. I asked a lot of questions and he thoroughly answered them all. I was very emotional as I has been living with pain and discomfort (not to mention embarrassment) for some time. The Patient Coordinator, Lynn, was beyond kind and put me at ease. Scheduling the pre-op blood work and the surgery itself was so easy and very low stress for me. When my 10-year-old daughter had a horse step on her toe at riding camp this summer, her big toe nail was nearly completely detached from her toe. But it was still hanging on and had to be removed using anesthesia. Dr. Jean fit her in between patients and we were in the office within an hour. She was, of course, scared and in excruciating pain, and to say the least, was not the most wiling patient. Dr. Jean and his staff were SO good with her. They were patient, calming and supportive...with her and me! After a good bit of coaxing, my daughter finally let him numb the area and remove the toenail. I went to see Dr. Jean after I was told I needed a few moles biopsied. Since this was the first time I needed something like this done, I was very nervous. I called and made an appointment with his assistant who was so kind and helpful, getting me an appointment right away. When I got there, Dr. Jean didn't simply biopsy the moles I was told about, he went above and beyond, giving me a full scan and actually found another mole that he thought looked suspicious. He did a fantastic job; you can hardly see where he had to biopsy. I would recommend Dr. Jean over and over again - in fact I did. My dad went to Dr. Jean to get a dark spot biopsied and removed from his lip. He too had a fantastic experience with Dr. Jean and his staff. My boyfriend will be there next week to have his moles biopsied. I will definitely be returning to Main Line Plastic Surgery for any future procedures.

My husband had a very scary accident that involved a dog biting off a piece of his nose (entire nostril). Dr. Jean was the surgeon on call at Paoli hospital the night we rushed in. He not only came to the hospital right away when he heard of my husbands injury, he had a solution for us immediately. The solution required two surgeries, and Dr. Jean assured the steps would have my husband looking back to normal, which we really didn't think was possible. Though we were scared, and nervous his nose would never look the same, we put our trust in Dr. Jean. My decision to have "the surgery" took me almost 4 years to make. I choose Dr Jean for several reasons; primarily because he didn't promise me an unrealistic outcome and I didn't ask for one. And that he was recommended to me by another cosmetic surgeon- high praise indeed. I am about 2 weeks and a few days out and I still have to pinch myself when I look in the mirror. At the suggestion of my pediatrician I stopped in to get some Silagen to help reduce the appearance of a scar from a recent infected laceration on my son's cheek. The staff in the office couldn't have been more friendly. When they saw the infected laceration on my 2-year-old's face, they asked if I wanted Dr. Jean to come look at it. Of course I accepted the generous offer. Dr. Jean took a look at my son, eased my fears about the scar, instructed me on how to use the cream most effectively, and other tips for improving the healing of the laceration and reduction of scar. I asked if I could pay for his consultation, which he declined. I really appreciate the professionalism and kindness that Dr. Jean showed to a very stressed-out mother. We have been following Dr. Jean's instructions and using the scar treatment for a couple weeks now and it is definitely helping! I highly recommend Dr. Jean!

We have seen Dr. Jean twice in the ER with my son. The first time he was just 10 months old and got a concussion and needed stitches on his eye brow. Dr. Jean was the Plastic Surgeon on call for BMH, and was so reassuring and calm when he came to us. My son's eye brow looked and healed amazing, you cannot even see the scar. The second time was just a few weeks ago, and I was en route to the hospital with my son with a big cut on his forehead. I called Dr. Jean's office on my way, and spoke to their ever kind and amazing ladies at the front desk, and they told me it would be hard for him to get in to the ER, as he was busy with clients all day, and was not the plastic surgeon on call. The ER told me that the plastic surgeon on call was in surgery and that there was not plastics available that day. Low and behold, not soon after, Dr. Jean came in to see us, and once again, dealt amazingly calm and kind with my son, and stitched up his forehead. It was SUCH an amazing act for him to come in, could not have been more grateful for showing such kindness. A week later, you can barely even see this cut...another testament to how great Dr. Jean's work is. The most amazing about Dr. Jean, and his entire staff, is just that, they go above and beyond in their profession and practice. Dr Jean was excellent and thorough. I had emergency surgery for a broken nose and septum received while playing competitive sports. He immediately put back together both parts of my nose while sewing up a massive laceration in between my eyes. My nose was smashed like a cornflake and he seamlessly put it all back together with me feeling as little pain as possible. He is the only doctor in my life who has called the day after surgery to check on how I was doing and see if there was anything additional I needed. Dr. Raymond Jean is an amazing surgeon. I had a complicated issue with my old breast implants that were done 10 years ago by another surgeon and Dr. Jean saved me completely. He did my breast revision and I am so happy with the new look and results of my implants. I also had a mini tummy tuck due to sagging skin after 2 pregnancies and 2 c sections. Almost two years ago in November 2012, I had a head on collision with a teammate during basketball practice at nearby Haverford College. I went to Bryn Mawr Hospital with a concussion and a facial laceration underneath my left eye, knowing immediately that it required stitches. The nurse who helped me offered to stitch me up right then and there or wait around an hour or so for the plastic surgeon, and thankfully, my friend (and aspiring medical student) who accompanied me suggested I call upon the local plastic surgeon for the procedure. I must admit, the time I spent waiting for aid was difficult and quite painful, but after Dr. Jean arrived, I realized that the wait was absolutely worth it. He stitched me up as quickly and professionally as I could have hoped, and within minutes, I was ready to leave the hospital. Dr. Jean's removal of the fourteen stitches went just as fast about a week later, and the secretary working the front desk was immensely helpful and genial as I struggled a little with filling out insurance paperwork. As smoothly as the stitching and removal had gone, I still had doubts about whether the facial scar would remain prominent or not, but a year later (after using the recommended facial cream for months and dealing with only mild discomfort), I was pleased to discover that the scar was barely noticeable, and almost no one noticed it, even the teammate I had the head-to-head collision with. Now, after almost two years and a promise to the secretary to provide a review later, I'm pleased to wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Jean!

I had Smart Lipo on my upper and Lower stomach at Main Line and it was the best money I ever spent on myself! I have been wanting to do this for sometime after I had my daughter but the recovery for traditional Lipo was too long and not conducive to my schedule with a 2 yr old. Smart Lipo is the perfect solution for clients who want the Lipo but not the recovery that goes with it. Another benefit of choosing Smart Lipo is that you do not need to go under for the procedure. Yes I said it, you're awake! And I honestly didn't feel anything other then pressure. I was left with a flat belly and 3 tiny incisions. Over the past few years, I’ve went back and forth on whether I wanted to get a breast reduction. I knew I was the perfect candidate for it but I struggled with finding the right surgeon – until I met Dr. Raymond Jean. I am three weeks post op from breast augmentation. I am 51 and decided to do this fairly late in my life but I am so thrilled and happy with the results. I choice under the muscle, silicone, moderate profile and I am very happy with my decisions. Dr Jean is professional, skilled, kind, and patient. We are so fortunate that Dr. Jean performed surgery on our 5 year old son, because had any other surgeon been called, I am not sure we would have had the same amazing results. Our son was in a sledding accident that resulted in a trip to Bryn Mawr ER and 40+ stitches in the corner of and below his eye. Dr. Jean's attention to detail and thorough pre- and post-surgical consultation made two nervous parents as comfortable as could be considering the situation. We were assured by a number of nurses and hospital staff that our son was receiving that best possible care wtih Dr. Jean and that if they had a choice in a plastic surgeon, Dr. Jean is whom they would choose. His credentials are impressive but unsolicited reassurances from his colleagues mean a lot more when you are trusting your child to someone else's care and expertise. A few months post-accident and our son only has a small scar that is still healing and we couldn't be happier. I have found a great surgeon in Dr. Raymond Jean and HIGHLY recommend his practice. I recently reached out to the office of Dr. Jean for a breast augmentation consultation. This being my very first consultation on the matter, I certainly did not know what to expect and was naturally anxious. Our 3 year old had an accident that caused a deep facial injury. Another mom witnessed the accident and suggested we head to Paoli's ER because we may need plastic surgery. In my frantic state, I wouldn't have thought of that. We let them know right away that we'd like to consult with Plastics and they reached out for us. The nurse told us they had called Dr. Jean. She explained he was a great plastic surgeon who comes in for these type of emergencies even when not on call. When we met Doctor Jean he was so great with our daughter who was so frightened.
