Just recently had surgery done with Dr. Joseph Thornton at Advanced Plastic Surgery in Newark, Delaware. From my first consultation all the way through to my post op appointments so far everything has been Amazing! He was very thorough in explaining my options as well as his recommendations. Never pushed for any unecessary treatments and left that decision up to me. I had a TT/MR/Lipo galore/BL as well as a BA with an implant exchange. I couldn’t be happier with my results so far:)

Dr. Thornton is my plastic surgeon. He performed my reconstructive surgeries due to breast cancer. I could not be happier with my results or with him and his staff! They are all understanding, polite, pleasant, caring people. I recommend him to anyone who asks me about plastics and recon!

Dr. Thornton did my reconstruction after a mastectomy and I am very pleased with the results. He is a very busy doctor and does give a lot of information quickly so bring someone with you to help you take notes and process the information later. This really is my only complaint. It is also very convenient that he has office hours on Monday in Elkton. I am very glad I chose him in this very difficult situation.

Although Dr. Thornton performed surgery on me a few years ago, a recent visit to his office from a relative of mine reminded me I owed him a thank you. My left forearm had become nearly severed from a miter saw. On my way to the hospital I wasn't sure how well or even if I would be able to use my hand again. My tendons were completely severed and I couldn't move my hand or fingers. In addition to excellent work, he had a great deal of patience with me. I had a difficult time being placed under anesthesia or accepting any pain relievers and muscle relaxers. I quickly gained trust in him and proceeded with the surgery. Once I awoke, I immediately looked to see if I could move my fingers. That moment was great for me and I don't believe I could ever forget it. I wanted to personally thank you again Dr. Thornton as I write this feedback using the same fingers you helped repair.

Dr. Thornton did an amazing job with my breast reduction and lift. I’m a 30 year old mom of one and wanted to get my body back as I’m done having children. My breasts are lifted, slightly smaller, and have a rounder, fuller shape now. I would definitely go back to Dr. Thornton for any of my cosmetic surgery needs. He’s very kind and takes the time to understand your goals and fully explains all available options. I was able to get my surgery scheduled quickly and the recovery was a breeze! Definitely recommend Joe!
