***CHECK ON YELP FOR PICTURES OF THE AWFUL RHINOPLASTY HE DID ON ME AS THE PICTURES CAN’T BE POSTED ON GOOGLE*** I had Rhinoplasty done almost a year ago, and I HATE it. The tip of my nose looks lopsided, my nostrils are extremely and noticeably assymetrical, and I have a bump on the side of it that I didn't have before. It is very uneven, and I feel like it was a rush job. This surgeon had a lot of positive reviews, but I don't know how. I wish I saved my money and went somewhere else. Now I'm going to have to get a revision Rhinoplasty from another doctor, because I clearly don't trust him to revise it since he couldn't do it correctly the first time. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SURGEON. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else the first time so you're actually satisfied with the results.

If you want the best of the best, look no further. Dr. Newman did my rhinoplasty three weeks ago and I cannot express how pleased I have been with the entire process start to finish so far. I broke my nose years ago and was left with a noticeable bump. Dr. Newman was upfront and honest with the things he could change and the things he couldn’t. He was very thorough and confident. I explained that my main concern was that my nose would change too much and my distinctness would be taken away. However, after consulting with Dr. Newman, I knew his goals were the same as mine, and I fully trusted that he wanted to take the nose I had and make minor changes to improve it. I was very anxious leading up to surgery, but Dr. Newman and his entire staff were so good about calming me down and ensuring me I was in good hands. The nurses were easy to talk to and caring, and the administrative staff were always friendly and excited for me. I kept telling Dr. Newman how worried I was about what I believed would be inevitable pain post surgery, but he was certain I would not be in much pain at all. He explained that he uses gentle techniques and takes his time to complete the surgery meticulously, making recovery much less painful for his patients. He said I could experience pressure from swelling and stuffiness, and I might have symptoms of a head cold and headaches. It was hard for me to actually believe that I would not be in pain, especially because I heard from various other people who had rhinoplasty that the procedure was very painful. I prepared myself for the worst despite Dr. Newman’s assurance that I would not be in pain, only some discomfort. The day of surgery I was very panicky. I was worried about waking up with a whole new face I didn’t recognize and being in a lot of pain. However, Dr. Newman and the nurses just kept telling me it’s no big deal and that I was going to be so happy with the results. It was so nice being able to go into the office that I had already been to a few times before being admitted to a surgery suite, where I changed and prepped for surgery. I was in a familiar place with familiar people, which helped ease my nerves. Having a surgery center connected to the office was really something I enjoyed. I had the undivided attention of all of the nurses and Dr. Newman, unlike at a hospital where nurses and doctors have to tend to multiple patients at once. Right before I went into the operating room, Dr. Newman came to see me and was so at ease. He wasn’t at all fazed by my anxiousness, and just assured me once again I would be pleasantly surprised by how I felt after surgery. When I woke up, I was shocked…I felt no pain! I was stuffy from the packing in my nose, but nothing else! I figured it must have been from the numbing shots they gave me during surgery, and again, I prepared myself for the worst and assumed I would start feeling a lot of pain once they wore off. The days went by and I kept waiting for the pain to kick in, but it never did! Dr. Newman was exactly right…I was swollen and stuffy which made it uncomfortable to eat and talk, but never was I in pain. The only time I took Tylenol was to help the headaches I was getting from the pressure of the swelling, otherwise, it was completely unnecessary. I’m still amazed by how easy this surgery was. I’ve had gallbladder surgeries, tonsillectomy and my wisdom teeth out, and my rhinoplasty was easier than all of them. Three weeks post op and I am healing great! I am exited to see how my healing progresses and the finished product. I in no way look like a different person, and have already gotten so many compliments from skeptical family members. They are all so surprised at how good it looks only a few weeks after and have completely changed their attitude towards the whole process because of how easy and good the surgery turned out. Dr. Newman’s level of skill, professionalism and positive doctor/patient relationship is apparent every step of the way. I couldn’t recommend he and the aesthetic surgery center enough!

Short answer is - I would NOT recommend Dr. Newman. He was not able to perform a deviated septum surgery like he confidently promised (the ENT I went to a year later fixed it no problem) and he was not really a pleasure to work with during the process. Pretty condescending and demeaning at times. Several years ago I was looking to get deviated septum surgery which I desperately needed for heath reasons and rhinoplasty "while I was in there". Dr. Newman told me he was extensively experienced in both procedures. After completion, the rhinoplasty job was OK (not great , not horrible - but barely noticeable that he did anything...) and the deviated septum was WORSE. After several post ops he told me that it was "as good as it gets" and that I "probably have allergies" (??!!!???!!) I went to a real ENT and he told me he could fix the problem, which he did. I can now sleep through the night and breathe !!

I had rhinoplasty done by Dr. Newman about 3 months ago, and it was one of the best decisions I have made. The environment and staff made the process very comforting from beginning to end. You absolutely do have record, as I have a full copy of my file from you including pictures of my face each visit and the surgery detail. I also have multiple emails with your office in regards to my difficulty breathing and the lopsided rhinoplasty results including videos and pictures of my nose and how I cannot breathe. I also have several emails with Dr. Newman's medical malpractice attorney where she contacted me for reimbursement to remove my reviews online and she also read to me word for word my posted google review.You should be ashamed of yourself lying to the public who is looking for honest experiences with Dr. Newman in order to make an informed decision as to move forward with surgery and implying that I am not an actual victim of Dr. Newman's. But I am NOT surprised in the least. And if you truly took these matters seriously you would not respond with the copy and paste statement below and actually do something to right the situation. Lastly, it seems that some of your negative reviews have been removed. You must of reached a payment agreement with those people). Now back to my review- I wish I had a positive experience and outcome with Dr. Newman. However, the rhinoplasty he performed left my nose unsymmetrical, bulbous, misshaped nostrils, & with severely hindered breathing. I went to him for a simple refinement of the tip of my nose. He ended up thinning my bridge entirely too much creating bumps , and leaving my tip looking like he took a chisel to it taking chunks out with asymmetrical nostrils. My nose is by far worse than before I went to him for surgery. After all of my discomfort and complaining about the botched nose job, his medical malpractice attorney contacted me to offer repayment for the rhinoplasty in exchange to remove my reviews. He not only mislead me into booking surgery, only to change his approach after paying him, he also lied to care credit when I put a stop payment on the charges by writing them a letter saying I never went back for a follow up (I did for 7 months and over a year later). He also performed abdominal surgery on my friend, and destroyed her stomach. Her incision that should of been over her C Section, went completely across her abdomen and up to her belly button, with folds of skin in areas. Multiple victims of Dr. Newman have reached out to me to share their experiences when I left a review on Facebook. Since then his office has removed Facebook review capability. If he or his staff swindle you into booking like he did with me, I wish you luck on your surgery.

I LOVE Dr. Newman. He is a trusted family doctor who is both proficient and caring. As an example, when my daughter was two years old she fell on her chin twice. The second time this happened was a Sat. night. Dr. Newman was not on call, but he monitors all calls that come in after hours even when someone is covering for him. He knew we were going to the emergency room and he met us there, dressed in a tuxedo so he could take care of my child. His touch was so gentle that my child fell asleep in his arms as he was stitching her up. We have used Dr. Newman for various procedures for over 28 years and I would trust him with my life.

Had a Horrible experience with Dr. Newman and his assistant Yvonne, but his other employees/nurses were very nice. Yvonne is very sweet and charming but don't let that fool you. There are patients on medical review websites who have also had negatives experiences with Dr. Newman. Please make sure to read them all. WE SHOULD HAVE. I went to Dr. Newman for an Ethnic Rhinoplasty and my nose was just as wide after the surgery. I had a VERY wide nose, hence the desire for Rhinoplasty surgery. THREE different excuses were given as to why this procedure wasn't done. 1. When I complained that Dr. Newman didn't reduce the size of my nostrils, like he had agreed to in the consultation, he told that me that he never said he would would and I was afraid to stand up for myself because he's scary. 2. When my mother complained that he had said he was going to reduce the sides of my nostrils, we were then told that he didn't think I needed it so we'd have to wait a year and then come back to see if we still wanted to have my nostrils reduced. A YEAR! Two different responses when he was confronted in the same hour at the follow up appointment. A nurse and Yvonne were right there when this conversation occurred. Do you think I'd want to use a Doctor again who didn't do what I asked him to do the first time and then denied that he ever agreed to it? My mother was right there when he agreed to it in the consult. Then we had to pay another plastic surgeon $3000 to do this surgery three months after my surgery with Dr. Newman. Not a year. If a Doctor can't remember what the patient asks for, maybe he should take notes. 3. When my mother emailed Yvonne asking for $2500 back in compensation for having to pay another surgeon to finish the surgery that we were told would be done, Yvonne said my mom had asked for a second quote for a rhinoplasty without the alar bases reduction and so it wasn't included in the cost. We were NEVER told this and no one ever said he wouldn't be doing this procedure. This was now the third excuse. Yvonne emailed a copy of a sheet with the 2nd quote that she said my mom had requested and it had my mom's name written on it like someone had signed it at the bottom. She didn't sign it. She never asked for it and she never saw it before. All we ever asked for and received at the consultation was the one quote that included the alar base reduction. Later, after the initial consult, Yvonne called my mom and they agreed on an amount with no mention of them not reducing the sides of my nose. This experience was shocking AND BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL. Why would I pay to have an Ethnic/Cosmetic rhinoplasty and then tell the Doctor not to reduce my nostrils/sides of my nose?. Oh, yeah, just leave my nostrils wide...Let my parents pay thousands of dollars for me to have a cosmetic rhinoplasty and come out looking like I still need one and then pay another surgeon $3000.00 more. Other things transpired but I've written enough to help explain my story. We gave them the opportunity to keep this private but that time has come and gone. We will be taking them to court and contacting the Connecticut State Medical Board. I think people need to know who they're dealing with here. Remember, positive reviews can be faked to compensate for all of the honest negative reviews. Keep that in mind when reading all reviews. Honesty always prevails, good or bad.

I went to see Dr. Newman after two of my friends had gone to him for Rhinoplasties and I loved their results (they couldn’t stop talking about how amazing he was) and I’m so glad I listened to them! I had been to to other consultations with different doctors before but Dr.Newman made me feel the most comfortable and he knew exactly what I wanted/needed done. As soon as I walked in I felt welcomed by all the wonderful staff who have been very helpful. Dr.Newman, his nurse and Larissa were there 24/7 to answer any questions I had and calmed my nerves when it came to surgery day. The surgery and recovery went as smoothly as possible with NO pain at all and in a week I was back to my normal routine. I am very happy with my Rhinoplasty results. I have recommended my friends who are looking into Rhinoplasty to meet with Dr.Newman!

I had a great experience with Dr. Newman. After having my lower eyelids done by him a few years ago, it was time for another rejuvenation - I wanted a laser resurfacing treatment. the procedure went exactly as Dr. Newman had promised it would, he had explained the pre op and post op care to me as did his wonderful nurse. I look fantastic - the healing took the amount of time the doctor had said it would. My friends ask if I've been on vacation and say that I look ten years younger. When I tell people my age, they are amazed! (PS Dr. Newman is a kind, caring and talented doctor with a kind and attentive staff) I was looking tired and my skin was sagging and lacked that dewy look that I had when I was younger. I didn't want a facelift yet - and Dr. Newman suggested and facial resurfacing. I was red for about 2 weeks though that didn't stop me from going out after the first 4 days of healing. The discomfort was minimal, very little down time (tho I had to stop my very rigorous workout routine for a week) Dr. Newman and his staff told me what to expect, what was attainable and their information was helpful and accurate. I was confident because I had been well informed. The after care was amazing - this practice knows how to treat their patients . I'm thrilled because I get compliments on my skin all the time and I notice that my skin looks smooth and firm.

Dr. Newman was extremely attentive to my wishes. He is very experienced at what he does. He is able to notice details that are not as obvious to the untrained eye. He was extremely polite and anticipated all my needs and concerns. Dr. Newman and his staff were always very courteous and professional. Dr. Newman discussed with me all my options before the procedure and was always concerned on maintaing a natural look while giving me what I had hoped for. The entire process was very easy from start to finish. i.e.: Setting up appointments, making the payments, etc. On the business side of the house I had the pleasure to deal with Caroline. She worked with me to arrange the payments in a manner that was suitable to my needs. This was only possible due to hers and Dr. Newman's flexibility. The office is very elegant, quiet and discrete. It's the only office on the 2nd floor of a three story building located on Boston Post Rd. (Very easy to find) I am very happy with my results so far and with how I was treated by Dr. Newman and his staff. I will definitely recommend Dr. Newman as a PS to others interested in aesthetic surgery. I can't thank Dr. Newman enough.

Dr. N. did my septorhinoplasty in January 2013. Upon first meeting him, I had the utmost confidence in him. The most important thing he said to me was that the change will be very subtle, so I’ll still look like myself. My husband more so than I, was concerned about the "Michael Jackson” effect. I could not be more pleased with the results. Not one MJ joke from my family because of the fine work that was done. Also, my breathing is amazing! I didn’t know what I was missing.
