Medicine is not an exact science and there are no miracle cures. In order to be helpful, the anonymous person who posted the negative review should describe what type of injury or ankle pain he/she had, exactly what type of surgery was done, what, if any, alternative treatment was offered, etc. That being said, I am a medical professional. When I needed foot surgery several years ago, I chose Dr. Sella after doing much research. The outcome of my bunionectomy was excellent; I recommended Dr. Sella to several colleagues who had the same surgery without complications and good results.

Twelve years ago I had major reconstructive surgery on my ankle! Dr Sella advised that following surgery I would have to wear shoes with a slight heel; I followed his instructions and have not had a problem since that time. I highly recommend Dr. Sella's expertise. He was one of the first surgeons to pioneer the procedure he used on my heel and has published many articles and has given numerous talks regarding his technique. This was told to me by my orthopedic surgeon whom referred me to him in 2002!
