I went there for scans for a fractured bone in my hand. My first appointment was fine got a cast and was in and out fast. Had an appointment to check up and have the cast removed but found out the day I had scheduled I was not available. Tried to call 3 separate times and did not get anyone. Left a message asking for someone to call me back and reschedule 3 days before my appointment but only received a call a week later saying that I had miss an appointment and now owe them for missing. Check your messages. I called and asked to be rescheduled. Ridiculous

My son is on Medicaid. Any ideas how hard it is to find a specialist who will treat Medicaid patients? Dr. Fender did the tendon repair on my son's left forearm. Did a fantastic job. He also discovered an old wrist fracture that had not healed propperly and said he would take care of this surgery too. Great office, quick appointments and Dr. Fender is very caring and through. We live in Pueblo West now and will travel to the greater Denver for future care from Dr. Fender.

Not a great experience. Dr Fender is a plastic surgeon. Went for wrist pain. After sending me to the extra special MRI place that had a month wait and some other doctor who stabbed and electrocuted me, he schedules me for a follow up visit just to tell me nothing he can find. Screwy billing where they charge me then refund what insurance pays. Felt like I was an annoyance while I waited for appointment. Receptionist talking about her heavy flow period in waiting room. Avoid this place.

On arrival, I mentioned potential of elbow carpal issues, the very nice receptionist expressed concern that I was at the wrong place because they didn't work with them. Dr. Fender later said yes they did. Dr. Fender was distant and dismissive of my questions. At both the initial visit and after the nerve test (yuck). At the CT he consult I primarily spoke with the assistant, who was unable to answer my questions. When Dr. Fender walked into the office he stood with his back to me looking out the window, and remained there to answer one question with an abrupt answer, then left the room when his assistant spoke again. How rude. The only option offered is surgery, bam. Yeah that's what they do. Nice staff, no waiting, but a Dr. who seems to only care about the surgery not the patient doesn't do anything for me! I want a Dr. who looks at me when either of us speaks and treats me as a person deserving his attention. A Dr. who randomly wanders in and out of the room during a patient consult really doesn't get my respect, regardless of his surgical ability! I will be going elsewhere for probably the same opinion, but with a Dr. that has empathy for the patient and willingly answers questions while making eye contact! The Dr. gets zero or negative stars, office staff and great technicians a five, overall a 2.

My grandfather and myself are both patients of Dr. Fender, at Precision Plastic and Hand Surgery. Dr. Fender is helping me with my carpel tunnel and arthritis, and my grandfather just recently had a worrisome spot removed from his nose, thanks to this highly professional, skilled, caring, and friendly Doctor. Apparently quite a few years back the good Doctor also removed a troubling spot from my grandfather's ear as well. I can attest to how good his ear looks today, and that the cancer was completely removed. I am hopeful and optimistic about last week's surgery on my grandpa's nose, based on the fact that his previous ear surgery was so successful, and that Dr. Fender was very confident at the conclusion of this procedure, that everything went exactly as he intended. We understand that it ain't over till the fat lady sings, but again I am confident that my grandfather will heal up nicely! My first visit to this office and every visit henceforth have been memorable, and contrary to most doctor visits have been very positive experiences. When I walk in I am always politely greeted and promptly taken care of. The office is always tidy and clean, the way any medical facility ought to be. It is important to note that very rarely do I leave feedback for a company. The quality of service and the way in which we have been treated by Dr. Fender and his entire staff compelled me to type this up. Just this morning we had an emergency and Dr. Fender picked up on the first ring and helped us deal with our dilemma and calm me down at the same time. It is very important that professional, ethically minded, compassionate and kind people be recognized for who they really are--these types, such as Dr. Fender, are also generally the most humble of people and need others' to toot their horn for them, as they will never do it themselves. I was referred to this office because of a melanoma on my scalp, which is a difficult location to remove. Dr Fender and the staff in the office have been friendly and professional the entire time. I had a question that arose after some unexpected swelling, which happened to fall on a weekend. I called the office number, expecting that I would either have to leave a message or talk to an answering service, and Dr Fender himself answered. This was only a minor concern, and he put my mind at ease, but it is really comforting to know he will be there if something else happens.
