1week ago I had a total right knee replacement. My Dr was Dr Barnes. I was up walking the day of surgery and have not slowed down yet. I never dreamed that in 1 week I would feel and be able to do what I am doing. I am 69 years old and have been in and out of my shower by myself. Up and about and working hard with the Amazing Amanda at UAMS ORTHOPEDIC SERVICES on autumn Rd. Dr Barnes is the BEST and I have complete faith in him and his God given abilities. I cannot imagine letting anyone else work on my hips or knees!!! Thank you Dr Barnes

I don't know what's up with the previous individuals post, but Dr. Barnes has been great to work with! I had problems with my hips joints since I was a child and, at the age of 36, I had both of my hips replaced. The first in September of 2008 and the second in January 2009. Dr. Barnes was my surgeon and he did a great job! He and his staff was very professional and compassionate. Yes, he was very busy (as there were always a lot of people waiting to see him - because I think he was that good), but he was always good about answering my questions. If you research Dr. Barnes credentials, as I did before my surgeries, you will be very impressed. I recommended a friend to Dr. Barnes for hip replacement and the surgery went very well. My friend is very satisfied. I would very much recommend Dr. Barnes. to anyone needing help with their hip problems. I am getting close to 10 years from my first hip replacement and all is going well!

Dr. Barnes and the entire orthopedic department are simply wonderful. My mother has a total knee replacement performed last year by a different surgeon and had been experiencing pain and immobility since her initial surgery. She saw Dr. Barnes for a knee revision last week and she is already feeling much better with greater mobility; after one week! She has also required significantly less pain medication than prior surgeries. Everything from preop workup to expectations after surgery were thoroughly reviewed. The entire staff from top to the bottom were impeccably professional and caring and they all seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. Dr. Barnes not only possesses the highest surgical skills but more importantly, he embodies humility and empathy that many others do not. To love what you do and to impact people the way that he does is a true gift and we will forever be grateful to him and his staff!

Dr. Barnes saved my right knee 5 months after another Doctor completely messed it up with a replacement. He wanted nothing to do with me after I was still on crutches, and put in their private hospital 3 times right after Surgery. Doctor Barnes is an amazing Surgeon with great bed side manners. He replaced my left knee with no problem at all !
