For the first time since my cancer diagnosis in 2007 I feel like I’m finally me again. I have had multiple reconstruction surgeries that have failed. Thanks to Dr. Larson’s skill with the diep flap I now have breasts that are amazing. I had a lot of problems with my body image after mastectomies, latimus flap surgery, revision, replacement of implants and failure of my 2nd set of implants and flap surgery. Dr Larson was able to fix it all. I tell everyone I know that he is the doctor to see. Thank you Dr. Larson for giving me my confidence back.

Larson is a joke. I went for an appointment to discuss DIEP reconstruction and he told me he tries to "undersell" this procedure because it takes too much time to do and isn't worth his time. He then went on to tell me my options, including getting two "slabs of plastic" to replace my breasts. He told me the existing skin was not "salvageable" and that the all the skin would be removed. He has no bedside manner, was crass and rude, and I waited almost an hour to be treated so poorly. Don't waste your time with this guy. Many of the reviews seem to be based upon transgender surgeries. He may be great at breast removal but don't even talk to him about reconstruction. Look to a specialist that does this surgery thousands of times, not when it might be convenient for them. You will have to travel out of state to find the necessary specialists but well worth the time and expense to find a specialist in microsurgery that WANTS to do DIEP reconstruction which Larson clearly doesn't. And, everything he told me about losing the skin, not being able to reconnect nerves and more where proven to be false.

Dr Larson recently performed abdominal surgery for my medical condition. He was informative and attentive from the consult to my post op appointments. His staff are also Amazing. There was no such thing as s dumb question. He and his team informed me of every step he would take and let me know risks involved with the surgery. There were no complications and although healing takes time, my results are amazing. I thank him for his expertise snd I would highly recommend him to his future patients.

l am a transgender man. I saw Dr Larson for chest masculinization. My consultation was informative and Dr Larson listened to and addressed all of my questions and concerns. We decided together what the best option for me was going to be, taking into consideration what my expectations were for the outcome. I had very large breast and opted for double incision mastectomy with free nipple grafts. Once I was comfortable with my decision, my procedure was scheduled quickly. The surgery center is welcoming and affirming. I was treated with the utmost respect and care. Post operative instructions were clear and easy to follow and I had no complications. I am very happy with my results. I have a masculine chest with minimal scarring and can say that it has literally changed my life for the better. I was referred to dr larson by my oncologist and made an appointment after waiting for this doctor to get back in town to review my case. Literally day of my appointment I call to ask where exactly I need to go cause I got lost and am told that they cancelled my appointment forvtge reason that he is obly taking self pay patients. I need a reduction to reduce my cancer risk but that doesnt matter. So now i have to live even longer in massive amounts of pain because this doctor doesnt want to help anyone but only wants to be greedy and not take a patient with insurance. Way to with being a care provider btw cause that means taking any and all patients. Some people can't afford to pay out of pocket thousands of dollars.

I’m W. Doctor Larsen did my top surgery, and I could not be happier--I had extreme chest dysphoria, being transmasculine, and Dr. Larsen helped me so much. It’s now a few months after I’ve had surgery, and I haven’t had any chest dysphoria, and even have had just absolutely joyous moments looking at my chest, as it now feels like me. After the surgery is the most comfortable I’ve felt in my own skin for years. Dr. Larsen was clear and kind through every appointment, pre-op, post-op, and during the operation itself. I remember being mostly out of it when he came in before the operation, already having the preliminary anaesthesia, but despite the fact that most of what he said was being lost at that point, he was still explaining everything he was doing in detail. I received similar treatment from all his staff, all the way through going under. Dr. Larsen was respectful of my gender, and never once misgendered me. He was with me the entire process, helping me get this surgery. His office is very nice, and his staff is fantastic. Lastly, the outcome of the surgery is something I’m just so happy with!! The nipple are even, and it barely looks like they’ve had surgery! The incisions are neat, and thin, and I was given all the detailed instructions to take care of them well. My chest looks great!! I feel so good!!! If you’re looking to get top surgery from Dr. Larsen, I can confidently say that he’s one of the best out there, and you’ll have a good experience with him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Larson for approximately 3 years. I had a Non-Nipple Sparing Double Mastectomy. With plastic surgeon's prior to Dr. Ethan Larson, I was not happy about the results and was in a lot of Physical pain. My breasts looked as if someone put two square sponges inside, they were very boxy looking. They did not resemble breasts at all, I also had excess skin on the sides of the breasts from the incision, those were painful as well. I had found Dr. Ethan Larson by looking up his reviews online, the reviews looked positives, so I booked an appointment for a consultation with him. Dr. Ethan Larson actively listens, treats you with dignity, and will tell you what is reasonable for the best results possible. He is a truly gifted plastic surgeon for Breast Cancer Reconstruction. Dr. Ethan Larson changed out my implants from Silicone to Saline. He did liposuction and fat transfer to my breasts to add more volume and . He removed the dog ear imperfections, and he has done nipple reconstruction. I have had numerous surgeries with him over the past 3 years. Each time the results on my breasts keep getting better. He always has a good plan of treatment for fixing any imperfections or abnormalities. Dr. Ethan Larson truly cares about the results and tries his best to envision the results that a patient wants. I would highly recommend Dr. Ethan Larson to anyone undergoing Breast Cancer reconstruction. When I first saw Dr. Ethan Larson my breasts did not even resemble breasts, they were very deformed, scarred, and simply not pleasant to look at all, now I have barely visible scars, my breasts now look like real breasts. Anytime that I go into surgery with Dr. Larson and his team I know that I will be well taken care of nd his staff always holds themselves to the highest standards of care. I never thought this type of reconstruction was possible. I truly thank Dr. Larson and his staff from the bottom of my heart for all their hard work that they have done on me to make me feel and look normal again after going through Breast Cancer Reconstruction.

I elected to have breast augmentation/implants after having kids. Dr. Larson was wonderful!! He was so kind and professional during my appointments. He was also very clear at communicating the best options for me in order to achieve the results I was hoping for. He and his staff were always available to answer all of my questions very quickly-- pre and post surgery. I am beyond happy with the results. My scars are almost completely unnoticeable now 1+ years post surgery and I look like myself, just improved. Exactly what I wanted! 5 Stars for sure for Dr Larson!! I had awake lipo done 7 weeks ago , from the start my consultation was amazing he listened to all my concerns and was very patient. I was so confident going into surgery. Dr Larson and his team were great they are very Welcoming. During my surgery his nurse was great making sure i was comfortable and definitely made me feel as if i was a VIP! Not only are my results unbelievable i know have a great surgeon who i trust for any future surgeries!! Highly recommend Dr Larson and his team!

I was referred to Dr. Larson for a second opinion after my breast reconstruction with expanders failed. My breast skin thinned and scarred so I had concerns about attempting reconstruction again with expanders. The expansion process for me was also painful and limiting my activity. Dr. Larson offered several other options apart or combined with expanders. I opted for DIEP with implants. Throughout the complex reconstruction, Dr. Larson and his team were always available for questions or to address concerns and I felt the level of care was outstanding. Although the process was long for me due to the complexities, Dr. Larson always worked to achieve a good result and was confident in being able to achieve a workable and nice outcome. I highly recommend Dr. Larson for anyone thinking about breast reconstruction and definitely for anyone who has had complications with breast reconstruction. Thanks Dr. Larson!

All I can say is Dr Larson is one of the BEST plastic surgeons in Arizona ,and Tucson is lucky to have such a skilled surgeon. I myself have had a breast reduction and a tummy tuck by Dr.Larson after a 100 lb weight loss ,his work is superior. I recently experienced a problem with the staff that answered the phone. After complaining to the management and Dr. Larson, they addressed the problem. Dr. Larson has performed several small surgical procedures on my skin/sq tissue. The surgery sites healed well and i experienced no pain. I took tylenol just in case but probably didn't need it.

I was very nervous going into this and have very high anxiety but everyone I encountered (both at the surgery center and at his office) was kind, thoughtful and made this life changing procedure an enjoyable one. Dr Larsen made sure to see that I was being treated fairly and honestly I’m so thankful for the ability to live such a happier life now. As a trans person, feeling comfortable even when you are in a very vulnerable position, is priceless.

I made an appt a month in advance to see Dr. Larson. His office contacted me multiple times to confirm. I went on the day, checked in, paid my copay and sat down. 30 minutes later the office manager came and told me they had overbooked and the doctor didn’t have time to see me. I got upset, explained that I had to give my job notice for time off for my surgery. That I was in pain and needed to see him. The manager was nice but adamant that the doctor did not want to see me. While trying to get my copay back, I asked why they couldn’t cancel his later appts since was already there and checked in. His nurse/MA Yesenia told me that the doctor sees very important cases and though she was sure my problem was painful, a breast reduction was not an important case. The last part was the reason I decided not even to try to reschedule. If I’m not important enough for a consultation, then who knows how much effort he’d put into my procedure?
