Ciao Bella was recommended to me by a friend and I'm glad I went to see them! They were 1 of 3 cosmetic surgery places I went to see and they succeeded my expectation from the consultation to the very day of my breast augmentation surgery. The surgeon, nurses, and desk associates are all very nice, helpful, and available when I had questions or concerns. At my consult the surgeon answered all my questions and the staff would ask me multiple times if I had any other questions up to the time I left the building, which I really appreciated. During my pre-op appointment, I had more questions and concerns the staff were happy to help answer but they also had the surgeon come see me between his surgeries to ensure my concerns and questions were answered, which definitely helped calm my nerves. Especially, my surgeon who kept reassuring me that he treats his work like a master piece! My surgery went great and I'm loving the results! Thank you Ciao Bella staff. They were amazing and knowledgeable and knew how nervous I was and made my experience from consultation to final procedure and follow up appts so comfortable. Very please with my breast implants. Poor technique, as stated by the previous reviewer -- which lends to poor results. As cosmetic/medical matters are naturally private in nature, I can only assume that the previous user also wanted to share their experience without broadcasting their full identity, which allowed Ciao Bella to reply to the review by stating that the individual was not an actual patient of theirs. Please note, I was a patient at Ciao Bella, and I received a non-surgical nose job on November 28th, 2018 at a 1:30pm appointment (although I did not actually see the doctor until closer to 2:30pm...). There was a significant amount of misinformation provided to me prior to the appointment (for instance, during my initial phone call, I was told that I would be able to attend my scheduled events two days later with no problem -- only to learn that I'd actually be required to wear a full-on series of nose tape strips for five days following the treatment. I did share this feedback with the woman in the office after the procedure was completed and the taping instructions were provided.). I was also told afterwards, during my follow-up appointment, that the results that I was seeing (which were awful... if I could go back in time, I'd have chosen a different clinic from the start) were the final results, and that it was "not possible" for there to be any residual swelling (which, it turned out, there was still plenty of, in fact). Still, the final results are awful, and the exact opposite of what I requested and what I expected. I wanted a more defined bridge and tip -- I received a larger, more bulbous and bulky nose, with zero definition, and zero options for revision other than surgical removal of the Bellafill (an option which I'll be exploring with another doctor here in the Valley). When I did inquire about the cost of having Dr. Zavala remove the Bellafill that he'd injected, I was only given the option of coming back in to meet with him again. I requested that I first be given an estimate for the removal, and stated that being a recent patient, and having just seen him for the follow-up appointment, I did not understand why another in-person sit-down would be required for a mere estimate (keep in mind that they also have the full series of 'Before & After' pictures in their possession as a reference as well). Still, there was no information extended to me beyond the repeated request for another in-person visit with the doctor. Overall, the staff at Ciao Bella is kind and courteous (and in fact, they have continued to be, throughout my follow-up correspondences). However, in my experience, the results were just awful. I now see that on HealthGrades, there are a very large number of patients who have also had poor experiences with this doctor. For every two 5-star reviews on there, there's a 1-star review. That's a very, very troubling ratio, and I do believe that it speaks quite clearly to the quality of treatment. Ultimately, the takeaway is despite the online self-promotion of Ciao Bella and its doctors as "#1 Nose Job & Rhinoplasty" and "#1 Plastic Surgeon Scottsdale", the results, in my experience, tell a very different story. I hope that this review helps to prevent others from having the awful experience/results that I've had.

Ciao Bella has taken care of my painful legs for six years now. They worked carefully but diligently to help me with my lymphedema and lipedema, removing all veins in my legs that were insufficient. Pain management was always their first concern. I could tell by their attention to detail that they had an investment in me. They helped me manage the payments and scheduling so wonderfully, too. I recently had to have liposuction for my lipedema, and I am so completely pleased with the results! I've had this procedure done before by another plastic surgeon, and the level of care doesn't even begin to compare with how beautifully the procedure was done. I recommend Ciao Bella to everyone, every chance I get. This family business puts their hearts and souls into their patients.

I love my results. I was so scared I went too small but I’m a small D instead of a full C as requested, and I can appear larger with my 34D bras from Victoria Secret! I did have a complication in the surgery room where I woke up and it was extremely painful at the moment. It only caused bruising on the breast that was being worked on. I did panic as I began to wake up and thought it was a dream but my friend confirmed this was not my imagination when I finished my procedure but everything went well. My scars healed great but I do still have some numb areas and hypersensitivity to/around my nipples. The bruising went away as explained and they have fallen into a comfortable placement. I am now 12 weeks post op and I love my implants. They are everything I ever wanted and I feel more lady like!! Thank you Ciao Bella for servicing me.

Dr. Zavala is nothing less than an amazing doctor. If you meet him you will see how full of passion and love for what he does pours out. I am a 49 year old male that has been struggling with deep laugh lines around my mouth and after talking with him I knew he was the man for the job. The procedure was not painful at all and he and his staff made sure I was totally comfortable the whole time during and after surgery. It’s been a few days and I feel great and already see that he totally addressed my issues and I am excited how I look in the mirror already. If your thinking about one of these procedures you really owe it to yourself to go meet with him. Well, this is somewhat of an embarrassing review for me but I have to do it because Ciao Bella and Doctor Zavala specifically, deserve my praise. When I was a young boy and hit puberty I developed puffy nipples with extreme sensitivity. I remember our family doctor back then assuring me this would pass once I got a little older. Well, I got older and while the sensitivity improved tremendously, unfortunately the puffy nipples remained and in fact grew in size giving me even more pronounced “man boobs”. This has always been a huge insecurity of mine especially throughout my college years. I have always had a relatively lean physique (although now that I am almost 47, I can easily pack the pounds unlike before) but even with a shirt on you could always see my puffy nipples. I’ll never forget an ex-girlfriend in college telling me I was “flashing my headlights” while wearing a shirt with a logo across the chest. I then learned all shirts as such accentuated my puffy nipples so even buying clothes was always a hassle (luckily the 90’s baggy was hip). Despite my insecurity I found the love of my life when I was 28 and married her at the age of 35. Even though my wife has always been the most reassuring loving person to me, my insecurity never went away. I don’t want to sound too shallow here but having people’s eyes gravitate towards my chest while having a conversation always made me crazy insecure. Back in 2005, I saw an ad for male breast reduction while vacationing in Beverly Hills so I schedule a consult at that clinic. The plastic surgeon recommended liposuction of my chest and assured me that would fix my puffy nipples. In retrospect, I should have questioned his recommendation given I really had no fat on my chest but just the puffy nipples. Well, I was so excited that I didn’t hesitate to schedule the liposuction the very next day before coming back to AZ. Sure enough, once I healed back at home my puffy nipple problem had not improved in the very least. Fast forward to 2017, I received an ad from Ciao Bella regarding male breast reduction but I dismiss it thinking it was the same procedure I had back in CA. Last year, my wife went to Ciao Bella and met with Doctor Zavala regarding something she had been wanting done for a long time. She chose Ciao Bella and Doctor Zavala after many different consults around the valley because she really got the best vibe there and we are so glad she did. She had her surgery at their Chandler location in March 2018 and her results turned out absolutely amazing far surpassing her expectations, mine too. (Doctor Zavala, my wife says hi and wanted me to remind you how grateful she is of you and forever will be). I went with her for her 4 month follow up and had a great chat with Doctor Zavala about a bunch of different subjects. I brought up my procedure in CA to him and then learned that what I had were enlarged glands and a condition called gynocomastia. Given my wife’s phenomenal results, I didn’t hesitate to schedule my surgery with Doctor Zavala. I scheduled my surgery at their new Scottsdale location since they had sooner availability there. I had my surgery on October and I now feel 100% healed. According to Doctor Zavala I still have some scar tissue and will continue to heal for the next 6 months but I feel amazing and can perform any physical activity and I am even bench pressing now! My results are amazing as well, no more puffy nipples! I joked with Doctor Zavala if he would let me preserve my removed glands in a jar so I can curse them daily for all of the insecurities they caused me, haha. To everyone at Ciao Bella, thank you so much for everything you have done for me and my wife, you are all wonderful people. To Doctor Zavala, my wife and I can’t thank you enough for what you’ve done for us, to you sir, we’ll always be in debt.

Professional staff, clean,updated facility, warm and welcoming...friendly anytime I'm there and to all patients, short wait times for appointments and while on the phone. Also got my questions answered, phone calls returned...I never felt like "just a number" ....highly recommend , highly rated surgeons and precise to details....my procedure was uncommon and not advertised, but Dr Zavala listened to my complaints and agreed to my request. He was willing to be open minded and willing to do as I asked.....great bedside manner......cant be happier....

I inquired about liposuction for my stomach and the coordinator was very responsive. I’d say she def over accommodated in that area until I asked if Dr. was ABPS certified. She ghosted me after asking and avoided the question saying he is licensed. Well no duh he’s licensed but that wasn’t my question. I made several attempts to get an answer and she stopped responding. I already knew he wasn’t. Couldn’t find him anymore but I thought it was very unprofessional to ghost me like that. Oh well. On to the next one :)
