I just wrapped up the PT at Performance Physical Therapy (PPT) following a shoulder replacement operation. Through the PT process I ended up with a much improved shoulder and have a nice set of ongoing exercises to do now that my PT is done so that I keep getting back more strength. In the past I've done PT for various injuries at Olympic Physical Therapy (OPT). But I heard good things about PPT from people at the Newport Athletic Club we belong to. And since the PPT office is in the same building as the club, it's real convenient to do PT and a workout. Win-win. But the reason I'm recommending them is that they do a really good job. The office is smaller than OPT but has plenty of equipment to seemingly address most injuries/problems. Plus they use the pool at the club to do aqua therapy if needed (not something I needed). And the two PT Dr's (Kayleigh and Paul) are very friendly and competent. I actually got to know all the staff during the 12 weeks I was getting PT and they are all really friendly and competent. I saw Paul for almost all my appointments and really enjoyed getting to know him while he got my shoulder back to working operation. Friends I have at the club who have gotten rehab with Kayleigh say the same thing. And Nicole, Erica and Kate (who help out with keeping things running smoothly) are great too. If you need PT I think it's a great place to go. Hope I don't need PT again but expect I will need more at some point. I won't hesitate to go back.

My experience at Performance Physical Therapy has been all positive. I went in on my first day with multiple issues and 5 weeks later have greatly improved! I really look forward to going in every week. The staff is extremely pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. My treatment is almost over, but I feel great knowing I have somewhere to go when my body is acting up.

I was crying from pain due to a pinch nerve under my left clavicle on September 12th. Performance Therapy scheduled me the same day in their Middletown, R.I. office. Dr. Kayleigh Melroy relieved the severe pain of my left arm with hands on therapy and traction. I was also scheduled with two weeks of appointments. I am in Rhode Island visiting family. Now I am able to fly home to Florida on September 25th with minimal discomfort. Dr. Melroy contacted my Physical Medicine doctor in Florida to update her on my condition. I was recommended to Kayleigh Melroy at Perfomance Physical Therapy after my latest ankle surgery. She got me walking and dancing and basically chasing after my 4 year old in no time at all. The whole office and atmosphere was great. Another thing they had that many places I had been to were lacking was that they listened to me when I was unsure if I had done something wrong at home while doing my homework or just being a mom . Kayleigh always reassured me that it was normal. Also if something was to painful we either took a step back or did it in a different way that wasn’t as painful but still worked the area. Overall this has been the first time I have felt confident after leaving Physical therapy.
