I went to see Ian at Orthocore as I’ve had lower back pain after golf for the last several years. I hit a point where I needed to do something and wasn’t sure where to turn. I thought maybe I would go to physical therapy, but I wanted someone that would understand the golf swing. I ended up finding Ian and Orthocore through the Titleist Performance Institute’s webpage. I was amazed that there were medical professionals that were certified in helping golfers. Even better, it was covered under my insurance. After the first visit I could tell that it was going to help. Over the next three months I visited Orthocore weekly, then biweekly, then once every three weeks. I just recently “graduated” and do not require further treatment. Ian taught me how to stretch and warmup so I could play pain free. I do my stretches at home most days(they’re not that tough to do and help me feel great.) Before I met Ian I was headed for MRIs and Drs. After my treatment I feel great and know how to manage my lower back issues. Thank you Ian and Orthocore!

When I arrived at OrthoCore's facility in Westerly I could only move my neck with effort and with low level, but constant pain. I received treatments as well as instruction on exercises that were introduced on a calibrated basis as I improved and could do more. When my wife developed back issues, the care along with the instruction in maintenance exercises she received has made a significant difference for the better for her, too. We were both extremely impressed at how professionally we were dealt with, from the way Ian listened to us, responded, then treated and taught us. Highly recommended -- now we wouldn't go anywhere else.

I can’t recommend Orthocore and Ian enough. Ian was not the first physical therapist I went to, but he was the best. I’m a cyclist who had developed a nagging backpain that kept me off the bike for months. After seeing one physical therapist where things failed to consistently improve I came to orthcore. What set it apart? Ian worked with me individually one on one as opposed to my other physical therapist who would oversee up to six patients at once. The individual attention makes a huge difference in making sure I’m doing everything correctly. Another major difference was Ian would always keep things varied. If something was too much or not helping, he would not be afraid to switch it up to something else or try new and different exercises. At my other physics therapist I simply had the same routine, over and over again, with practically no variation or progression. With Ian he truly customized my care and the results showed.
