Rude staff--not empathetic or willing to help navigate insurance issues.
I was excited to see a specialist at this facility for a vertigo issue that has been bothering me for quite some time. They came very highly recommended to me.
I set up an appointment and was asked to obtain a referral from my primary care physician for insurance. I recently switched insurance, so I didn't know I needed a PCP referral prior to calling.
I began the process of getting a referral but was told by PCP's office that my policy would not cover this facility. I called back the same day (July 18th) and asked if I could self-pay for the appointment. The individual I spoke to said I could, so I thought I was all set.
Today, after having this appoint on the books for almost a week, I received a call from this office saying I needed to get a referral and that I had to cancel my appointment. I told them I was planning to self-pay and they said I couldn't do that because they accept my insurance. When pressed, they blamed me for not setting up my insurance properly and treated me like an idiot for not understanding why I couldn't pay for my appointment.
All of this added to the fact that they lost the initial prescription my doctor faxed to them, further wasting my time and my doctor's.
I wish I could've have received treatment here, but the rude staff makes it impossible for well-intentioned people to even make an appointment.
