Was given a recommendation to try rehabilitation at this place when I was diagnosed with a herniated disc. Extremely knowledgeable and caring staff that came up with specialized solutions that eventually helped me to a full recovery and avoid additional medical procedures and surgery. I would definitely recommend these wonderful folks for spine related or other rehabilitation needs.

Rick is excellent. Came recommended from a PT friend as "one of the best neck and shoulder guys". I had shoulder muscle pain due to wrking on a computer and Rick addressed the root-cause which was a stiff neck. I literally could not sit up straight anymore. Once I regained full motion in my neck and back, the shoulder issue disappeared on it's own. 8 visits in 3 weeks and DONE.

Tallmadge Physical Therapy staff are the most genuine and kind people you can ask for. The staff is very easy to talk to and take an interest in each individual patient. It is very apparent that the staff cares about the progress of your injury. I came to Tallmadge Physical Therapy seeking care for my second shoulder and bicep tear. My expectations when going in was to lose some strength and range of motion like my first surgery. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I gained all my strength and range of motion back from before the surgeries. The staff was able to bring all my numbers back to normal range. I could not be happier with the progress I have made with my shoulder. As a division one wrestler, I recommended any athlete looking for physical therapy to attend Talmadge Physical Therapy. The owner ,Rick, has two sons who have both played baseball at the division one level. Rick understands how to rehab injuries for sport and get you back on to the field as quick as possible. I want to thank Rick, Alexis, Kelly, Lauren, and Gina for everything.

The therapists at Tallmadge Physical Therapy thought my pain was neck related all along and they were correct. I'm glad they were able to figure it out and had it right from the beginning.

After suffering from spinal vertigo after a fall off a truck and living with dizziness for 2 years to the point of almost passing out. I made 1 visit with Gina Miller and in my opinion she is nothing short of a miracle worker she went right to the problem and talked me through her procedure with care I am totally free of the spells after just one visit. It is such a blessing to know I can do the things I did before without my world spinning out of control. I would highly recommend this place and Gina to anyone that suffers from this horrible thing called vertigo I think they deserve a hundred stars!!!!!!

Gina Miller is the best of the best. You can tell Gina knows her stuff,she never ran out of tests to push me to be better with my problem of balance She really knows what she is doing and an experienced intelligent therapist. I would recommend her and the practice to anyone needing specific care. You feel welcomed there and the hours are the right fit for everyone that needs help. I would give them 10 stars if I could!!

Rick, Alexis, Gina, Lauren and the whole staff are the best. I went in with a back injury and was so off-kilter I could barely walk, stand or sit. Within 2 visits I had a huge relief in pain and was able to get around at a more normal pace. I have also been in to help adjust my positional vertigo - All thanks to Gina - one visit and no more vertigo. They are a dedicated and fun team and while I am happy to be healthy again, I will miss my time with this great group of people. They all worked so hard to not only rehabilitate my injury, but my spirits as well. They all make sure that you heal on a safe and healthy path. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Tallmadge Physical Therapy has made such a positive impact on my health. I spent months with intense vertigo that prevented me from going to work and from participating in most activities. I was at the end of my rope. My doctor referred me to Gina Miller, who is an expert on vestibular problems. During the first evaluation I basically failed every test she gave me. She noticed that I was having problems with my neck too and she knew that it played a part in my dizziness. She worked closely with Rick Zimmerman to tailor a therapy program that would help address both of my struggles. My case wasn't easy and there were many times I wanted to give up. They wouldn't let me! They encouraged me when I was down and pushed me to keep working because I was improving. They gave me the tools I needed to help myself at home and I am happy to say that I am so much better now. I am back to work and living my life. I can't say enough about the amazing care I received here.

If you live close to their office, lucky you. If you don’t, they’re worth the drive. I’ve been toTallmadge PT & SportsCare for 3 separate courses of therapy and cervical traction over the last 8 years. The therapists, assistants and staff are thorough, efficient and friendly. The facilities and gym are clean and well equipped. I’ve never had an issue with billing or insurance and their hours are generous and accommodating. I can’t say enough good things about Tallmadge PT & SportsCare.

What a great practice! After having a bad experience with another physical therapist I was able to see the work of real dedicated professionals that work to relieve the pain of their clients, educate them and give effective at home prescription exercises. I was recommended to Tallmadge Physical Therapy & Sports Care by my primary physician to determine what was causing my lower back and surrounding area discomfort. I am very thankful that I was referred to them! From the initial welcome and greeting from Lauren Rieder, the receptionist, to my initial consultation with Tom Adams, I felt comfortable and confident that they could help me. Rick Zimmerman and Gina Miller are great therapists! It did not take Rick very long to determine the cause of my discomfort and a plan to help me manage and relieve the discomfort. Therapist Assistants, Alexis Strahler and Lauren Rieder kept me in check every visit, making sure I not only completed my exercises, but that I didn’t slack off or do them incorrectly! A very positive love/hate experience! Lol The entire team worked well together and helped me with a good plan for recovery. The atmosphere was very professional, but also warm and friendly. It was enjoyable getting to know everyone better as I spent over a month in therapy. I would recommend Tallmadge Physical Therapy & Sports Care to anyone who requires physical therapy and wants a great team to help them get better!

I can not speak highly enough of the entire staff at Tallmadge Phys. Therapy. After a total knee replacement they invested their time and effort into my recovery. In doing so we reached my goals in 22 visits and I am extremely pleased with my steady gains throughout the experience. Even my surgeon was amazed at the progress we made. They are all dedicated to their profession and also are very, very nice people . So in no particular order a big thanks to Lauren, Alexis, Kelly, Gina, Rick and Tom. They started as simply my therapy people but by the time we were finished they all became my friends. Anybody in the Akron/Tallmadge area would be well served by allowing these fine people to aid in their recovery. 5 stars !

I have been a patient a few different times at Tallmadge Physical Therapy and Sports Care. I returned after the initial time because of the excellent care I received. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and dedicated to helping their patients heal. It is easy to see their work is their calling, not just a job to them. Rick, Tom, Alexis, Gina, Lauren, & Kelly are excellent at putting patients at ease! I presented several atypical problems and Rick went out of his way to find ways to help me. He even came in on his day off when he knew I was scheduled to be there so that he could have me try a new technique he had tried the previous evening himself. He said he had experienced elbow pain similar to mine and found relief for his pain and it brought me to mind. He couldn’t wait to have me try it to see if it would be beneficial to me as well. That spoke volumes to me about the level of commitment they put into helping their patients! Their care has been a blessing to me. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing physical therapy!
