I have seen Marcello a number of times for tendonitis in my left foot. This was also affecting and my ability to walk normally. Marcello has worked on my leg and given me a comprehensive program for strengthening my feet and my legs. My condition is much improved, and I am 90% pain free. Marcello is great at making one feel comfortable, confident and at ease under his care. His Manhattan office is centrally located, close to the subway and very convenient. I heartily recommend Marcello to anyone seeking a physical therapist.

He has developed an exercise and strengthening program which has helped to counter the wear and tear on an 88 year old body, and has done so with caution, care and compassion I have worked with him at his office and in my co-op gym and appreciate that he not only writes the exercises but photographs them as well. Before finding Marcello, I had a reoccurring painful plantar fasciitis that made walking very difficult. In order to walk, I had to either go very slowly, or very painfully. Marcello was able to not only resolve the plantar fasciitis pain, but also address the underlying reasons that caused the injury to reoccur. I've gone to multiple physical therapists and podiatrists before, and nothing had prevented the pain from coming back. After less than a year of working with Marcello, not only was my foot pain resolved, but also the vast majority of my back pain. I also have a number of new tools I have learned to prevent and treat any small tightnesses that may occur. The biggest news? I now can walk 31,000 steps (~13 miles) without pain :) and I can also run pain-free!

About two and a half years after my lumbar spine fusion (L2, l3, L4) surgery I started getting severe pain, numbness and restricted movement. I received twice weekly treatment from Dr. Sarrica and within a couple of weeks the symptoms started subsiding. I continued with a combination of physical therapy and personal training specifically designed to strengthen my core, lessen flair-ups and speed up recovery when flair-ups occur. 6 months later I am more fit than I have been in 20 years. I was diagnosed with a herniated disc in my neck and came to Marcello hoping to avoid spinal fusion surgery. I was in bad shape, with pain radiating down my arm and weakness so bad I could barely pick up a pint glass. Barely three months later I am pain free and stronger than I was before the injury, all because of Marcello’s expertise. Unlike other physical therapists I’ve encountered, he takes a personalized one-on-one, hands-on approach, addressing the injury itself as well as the larger underlying issues, like posture and strength imbalances.
