Great experiences and skilled staff!

I went here twice for pelvic floor therapy to address incontinence. I chose Brick Run because it was walking distance from my house and in my insurer's network. $40 co-pay. There was no exam or diagnosis. Six patients lying on plastic cots in a small room, attended to by two therapists who walked from patient to patient. We jumped right into what felt like generic exercises that seemed to me to address muscles outside the pelvic floor. My questions were answered in what I felt was a cursory way. I didn't have a lot of confidence that I was getting exercises that addressed my incontinence problem. I'm not a physical therapist and I could be completely off base here. But the place felt like a Medicare/Medicaid mill: many patients, few therapists, no personal attention, get 'em in and out as fast as possible. I went to another PT place. More expensive. Much better experience. Yay.

My first time there, I never made it to the consultation. I was escorted to the rear of the facility where it resembled a corner of a poor inner city emergency room. Beds were lined up in a tiny space where patients waited sitting on uncovered mattresses inches apart from one another. Most of these individuals were elderly and sat unattended for the twenty minutes that I was able to tolerate waiting on my uncovered gurney. Heed the reviews and find another facility that will afford you some basic hygiene and privacy...you deserve these basic rights, especially because you are there to alleviate pain..

I want to address some of these reviews, as I don’t think they are fair. I went for my first appt today. The waiting room is small, only 4 chairs, and they saw me probably 20-25 minutes late. It’s a little casual up front, but when I got to the back, I received excellent and attentive care. Gurjeet and his colleagues worked on me for close to 90 minutes. Yes there are a number of patients in the same area, but there’s nothing gross or unprofessional about it. I was never left unattended for more than a minute, and only while I was doing exercises that they had taught me and observed. There was an ultrasound massage and electrostimulation 2x for 15 minutes (beginning and end), evaluation by the doctor, prescribed exercises, mostly attended, and then stretching and icing. Having other patients around was honestly somewhat comforting. People were encouraging and there was nothing unfocused or run down about it. My insurance isn’t great and I’m grateful that I had the option to go here. It’s not a luxury service and you will be around other folks, but there was no shortage of attention and care given. I will post again if my experience changes, but after reading freaky reviews, I wanted to give a more fair account.

Gurgit is a great physical therapist. I went after my ACL reconstruction knee surgery. At first it feels a bit hectic as there are a lot of people working with you and a dog. But they know how to help.

Gurjeet and his team have fixed me twice! Both were running injuries, plantar plantar fasciitis & hip pain.

Main reason I go here is that it is close and makes it easier for me to attend my physical therapy sessions. I've found Gurjeet (sp?) and the rest of the staff (Jennifer, Morgan, Bert, and Lisa) easy to deal with and nice people. This is the second injury that I am going to Brick Run for and I like going here. I believe other reviews are right that Gurjeet is the only physical therapist there, but he does always have a few assistants on hand and they give you direction on what exercise you need to do next and will provide feedback if what you are doing is not correct.

They keep you waiting at least 1/2 hour and twice 1 hour. they are overbooked and understaffed.profit seems to be a higher priority than patient satisfaction.

Sometimes gets busy in the evenings, but Gurjeet is as good as a physical therapist gets - super knowledgeable, great bedside manner. Rehabbing my 2nd ACL and the doctor is very pleased with my progress. Highly recommend! Don't bother going to those overpriced PT places referred to by doctors' practices (kickbacks maybe?) - had 1 session with one and will never go back.
