This is an excellent facility. The staff is amazing. They are very knowledgeable and rotate patients so you get a different experience every time. They will take their time to work with you and explain things to you. They really care about your recovery. Their early and late hours make it very accommodating for those that can't take off time from work for therapy and they are very timely. I highly recommend this place!

Always on time, professional and thorough, the therapists at SWOPT were caring and knowledgeable and helped me with my foot pain. In just four sessions they reduced the discomfort significantly and after six sessions I could walk with no pain. I highly recommend their service.

I have had a few life events that has had me at Southwest Orthopedic Physical Therapy since about March of last year. I have to say, these are an amazing group of well trained individuals, both the front desk staff and the physical therapy staff. I have referred a lot of people to them and have voice my opinions to my surgeon and family doctor as well. Wonderful people! I highly recommend Southwest Orthopedic Physical Therapy.

Thank you Southwest Orthopaedic Team!!! When I went in I could barely sit, walk, or stand for more than half an hour at a time due to a horrible back pain that spasmed down both legs simultaneously. Paige did my orientation and noticed things about me that I was never even aware of. After treatment started they had me doing specific exercises that targeted areas that were essential to my recovery, I can now stand, walk, and sit for as long as I want with very rare occurrences of any pain when I really push myself hard (eg. walking up and down stairs constantly during a 2 hour period to pass out fliers to people in a stadium). Steve really pushed me during my strengthening exercises and that encouraged me to push myself. He was driven to make you feel better and also worked hard to keep you motivated. It was evident that he cared about his patients and wanted you to succeed in your recovery. I did work with several different members of staff as well and they were all very wonderful and brought something different and helpful to the table. They gave me paper copies of exercises that I could do at home and continue after treatment ends so that I may continue to strengthen my back and other muscles that are important to remaining pain free. Kale actually took the time to sit with me and I found out we had alot in common. He too has been through alot as well. It was a nice bonding moment for me. He is really pleasant and it wasn't until after my treatment ended that I found out he was the owner of SWOPT. The front desk personnel really surprised me when they remembered my name immediately after the 1st visit especially since my name is not common. They are really friendly and professional, very easy to talk to. Thanks again SWOPT staff, for everything!!!

I initially had a wonderful experience and benefitted greatly from the therapists who worked with me. I learned so much about my body and how to help it heal. I did however have two experiences that were upsetting. The first incident involved a therapist who did not listen to me at all and who recommended a treatment that made my pain much worse. The second incident was not physically but emotionally devastating. A trusted therapist greeted me with upthrown hands, shaking head, and saying "we don't know what more to do with you....you tell me, what do you want to do?" This was traumatizing for several reasons: 1) It felt horrible to think that the team whose expertise I had trusted had no faith in my ability to continue to progress and heal; 2) It was terrifying to think that the "experts" had no plan of action; 3) It was confusing that I would now have to decide my own treatment plan. I wept through the entire session, and then quit physical therapy. I believe I was actively discouraged from continuing treatment. Why would a person from a healing profession say something so mean? It undermined my own confidence in myself and my body. I still have not healed.

They sure get your body working again. Very nice staff.

I’ve been meaning to post a review for SWOPT for awhile; I just can’t say enough about how much they have helped me over the years! I’ve been a patient at SWOPT on 3 different occasions; once rehabbing from pelvic issues, once for physical therapy after a meniscus surgery and then for overall general weakness... rehabbing from old injuries and strengthening areas that had weakened due to those old injuries. First off, Linda was absolutely amazing when helping me to rehab my pelvis; very professional and incredibly knowledgeable. I had no idea how much everything was really connected throughout the whole body (literally the head connected directly the feet, not just hip bone connected to the thigh bone...); I learned so much and still use what she taught me after all this time. Then there is the front desk/admin team... Tammy, Shaun, Kirsten and Kaliegh just couldn’t have been more welcoming, efficient and helpful! When I came back to rehabilitate my knee after surgery, Kale did my evaluation; he is caring and again very knowledgeable. He listened to all my questions/concerns and when he was finished with my evaluation I felt confident I knew everything I needed to know about my upcoming therapy. Then I was assigned to Steve, and sometimes Jacob, for my actual physical therapy. These two guys are personable... they listened to what I was experiencing an explained everything they were having me do and why - without making me feel like I was idiot (I’ve gone to other Physical Therpists at different companies in the ABQ area in the past that were inpatient, quite condescending and seemed to have a cookie cutter process for every patient - not the case here and I am very grateful for their kindness and personal care). A couple other things I’d like to say... SWOPT was always clean and well maintained. The there is the whole staff... they all work so well together - it makes the atmosphere very comfortable and positive. Definitely the place to go if you need physical therapy and/or overall physical rehabilitation!

I want to say that at first I was very scared on the recovery process I would have. Do to diligent therapy and positive feedback from Steve, I succeeded on completing my therapy. The environment of staff was amazing with positive influence and great attitudes to help you when you may not of been felling positive yourself. Thank You Kail, Steve and therapy staff for what you do. The front desk staff was amazing on making you feel like part of their family.

Nothing available after 3-4 for the working people. Nothing available on weeekends. Doctors need to learn to work around the working class’s schedule!? People should not have to call in sick to get PT!

Joleen Brown

I love how I don't have to deal with the typical Physical therapy. I get some real awesome alternative physical therapy and new things for my situation. Thank you, highly recommend this place.
