I had no idea that 2 sessions of pelvic floor PT would change my life at 55 years old. After delivering two big babies, I had no idea that leaking urine did not need to be my fate. Brooke was great and offered me gentle and manageable exercises that have changed my life. I am a runner again and have lost 25#. I am so grateful to Brooke. Thanks so much!

I had been struggling with a deep hamsting muscle issue in my hip area for over a year. I had gone to a physical therapist, my chiropractor, I did multiple stretches, I stopped working out to rest it to try and allow it to heal and nothing I did helped. My massage therapist recommended Legacy Therapy. I began noticing improvement after my first visit. After 4 visits I am back to playing tennis, walking daily and feeling like I am back on track. Brooke knows her stuff and is very good at helping women. Her office is very nice and staff are very helpful.

I have been having pelvic floor issues for 35 years just after my son was born. I thought nothing could be done about it and that I just had to live with it. I went to see by GYN in the past and he told me that they could do surgery. I wanted a different alternative. As I got older, started training at the gym and wanting to get myself healthy I asked my GYN for a different alternative over surgery. She share about Legacy Physical Therapy. I gave them a try. The ladies at Legacy are so kind and compassionate. I received exercises that really worked to alleviate my symptoms. I do not have my pelvic floor symptoms anymore. I highly recommend Brooke and her staff who have alternatives to alleviate symptoms that come with pelvic floor pain and prolapse.

Visiting with Brooke at Legacy Physical Therapy has changed the way I work out and view my internal health. After being diagnosed with diastasis recti after the birth of my second child, I thought that I would never have my abs back together again. I would struggle through ab workouts at the gym, but never saw any progress. Thankfully, I visited Legacy. Brooke showed me how to modify and appropriately engage my ab muscles during workouts. She helped me see the signs of misuse and after working with her, my gap has closed dramatically. I still have to modify some exercises, but my abs are the strongest they've ever been. Thanks Brooke!

As a physician, I am totally impressed with the services at Legacy Physical Therapy. Brooke Kalisiak was highly recommended by my gynecologist at Washington University, and the results have significantly increased my quality of life. She also saw me following a total hip replacement. Brooke and her staff are competent, exceptionally good at listening to patients, and make sensitive issues totally comfortable. I recommend Legacy PT without any reservation, and they will be #1 on my list for any future issues.

I have been dealing with hip pain for months after throwing out my back in January. I saw a chiropractor for months and the pain shifted from my back to my hip. I was seeing the chiropractor 2x a week with no results- I would get shooting pain down my hip/leg whenever I was laying in bed or shifting from side to side in bed. Because the pain wasn't getting any better, I stopped going to the chiro and accepted that this was just the way that it was going to be for me. After talking to a friend of mine who had been to Legacy before, she asked if I thought it could be a pelvic issue and recommended Brooke and her services. I called to schedule a consultation and the staff were so wonderful and friendly! At my consultation, Brooke was upfront and very thorough. She explained the area she thought was the cause of the issue and she felt confident that she could help me! I appreciated her honesty and how she stated that didn't want to waste my time and if I didn't see results after a few visits then she would make another recommendation for me. She gave me exercises to do and I was amazed that after only a few weekly visits and a few daily exercises how much better I felt! I now have strategies to help strengthen the muscles around the problem area to alleviate the tightness (not even pain!) that I sometimes feel. I am so grateful for Brooke and Legacy Physical Therapy!

I worked with Brooke Kalisiak at Legacy Physical Therapy in December 2017 and January 2018 to correct a separation of my abdominal muscles caused by pregnancy, and I cannot recommend her services highly enough. Brooke took the time to evaluate my issues and explain what she found, answering my questions along the way. Most importantly, she listened to my concerns about my strength and abilities as they pertained to my condition. She tailored her program to address my individual needs, and checked in along the way to make sure we were achieving the goals set for my care and recovery. Appointment times were flexible, the staff was always courteous, and I'm now living (and lifting weights!) without restriction thanks to Legacy. If you have any physical concerns pertaining specifically to postpartum health, call Legacy today! You'll be glad you did.

MIRACLE WORKERS! I highly recommend LPT! After I had my baby in July 2018 I was feeling not quite like myself. I had some issues left over from pregnancy that included pelvic floor issues, weak abdominals and some lingering hip pain that happened pre-pregnancy, which pregnancy only exacerbated. My ob/gyn told me that the pain I was feeling would just take time to work itself out. My doula suggested a pelvic floor physical therapist and a quick google search returned Legacy Physical Therapy. After reading the website and going through a free consultation with Brooke Kalisiak, I was convinced that this was the right place for me. About the treatment: I was a patient here from October 2018 - February 2019 . After working with Brooke, my pelvic floor issues were taken care of after a few appointments, my abdominals are so much stronger now (I can lift my 20lb kiddo in her carseat just fine!), and I can move my hips pain free. The range of motion in my hips has improved, as well. Brooke is thorough, really listens to you, and provides you with excellent guidance. She always asks for your consent before proceeding with an examination or showing you exercises. She encourages you to go at your own pace and to not work through the pain, but stop before a movement becomes painful. The exercises and treatments are meant to challenge you, but they're also extremely doable and she modifies them based on your ability and comfort level. About appointments and the office: Brooke is extremely flexible regarding scheduling appointments, and it's a kid-friendly office. It's a convenient location, and very bright and clean (it always smells so good!). Finally, Rosie and Abbie work the front desk and they are super nice and welcoming. Final thoughts: If you're a new mama or are currently pregnant, I highly recommend seeing Brooke for pelvic floor therapy before and after you've had your kiddo. Issues that my ob/gyn had told me might take months to heal were healed in a few appointments. *This might not be typical for everyone*, but it was so relieving to have someone actually listen and work with me to actively help me, instead of leaving it up time and chance. Thank you so much Brooke and LPT!!

I saw Brooke Kalisiak at the recommendation of the nurse practioner who is treating me for Interstitial Cystitis. After many years of constant, sometimes debilitating, pain I have finally found relief. Brooke is excellent at listening to her patients. Her treatment and instruction were always explained thoroughly and all questions I had were addressed with patience and understanding. If you follow Brooke's treatment plan I believe you will benefit greatly from her knowledge and expertise.

I had a great experience with Legacy Physical Therapy! I exercise a fair amount and am pretty savvy with Google and YouTube videos, but wasn't seeing/feeling results. After 2 kids (my youngest was 1.5 at the time), I wanted to be sure I was doing things that would help my body continue to heal and regain strength -- an not exacerbate any issues. Brooke asks great questions, and was able to quickly diagnose and then walk me through step-by-step activities appropriate for me. Through several visits, I gained strength, increased my confidence in exercising, and learned variations I can continue to do as I get stronger. Highly recommend!

I went to Legacy for help with some hip pain I had been experiencing. Brooke was immediately personable and helpful. I knew she cared about me. I also knew she was an expert physical therapist. With the exercises she gave me and weekly visits, I am happy to say I am feeling so much better! I am back at the gym and feeling great. If any other aches or pains arise in my life, I will definitely be heading back to Legacy! Thanks for everything.

Brooke and the team at Legacy Physical Therapy were so helpful. I was treated with respect and patience. They were very understanding if I was a minute or two late and if I needed to reschedule. My problem was figured out quickly. With specifically chosen exercises, I was able to return to the workouts and daily routines I was accustomed to doing.

I can't say enough about Legacy Physical Therapy. As women, there is so much fear and embarrassment surrounding the issue that can happen with our bodies, especially after having kids. Brooke really did a great job listening to me and helped me to resolve the issues that I was experiencing after my last baby. Every woman should go to PT after childbirth! And Legacy is your place!

Brooke is a true professional in every sense of the word. No matter what condition you are seeking treatment for, she customizes a plan of care specific to your needs. She is very compassionate and patient, and works diligently to help you achieve your goals. I especially appreciate the designated appointment times, the private rooms, and the one on one attention. The office staff is awesome as well.

I am so grateful that my surgeon referred Brooke to me. She is a fantastic PT in the field of women's pelvic floor health. I would have never guessed that such a field existed. Brooke is so understanding, so knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable with the issues I was experiencing. Her sincere interest in my health made me feel assured in sharing my issues. She speaks in language that is relative to what you are experiencing in your individual case. My condition is so improved due to her suggested exercises and it is now up to me to continue her guidance. The bonus was my introduction to Essential Oils and I am now thankfully addicted to this wonderful facet of life. I cannot recommend Brooke, and her staff, enough for women's health issues!!

I’ve been in to see Brooke twice in the past few years. The first was because of hip and knee pain. I would have never guessed that there would have been a trigger point in my pelvic floor causing this pain. She was very professional and effective. I had the same pain after a recent surgery, and after two visits and her prescribed stretching, it has resolved. I’m so happy to be functioning normally in my work again, thanks to her.
