Paul and staff were knowledgeable and friendly. It's clean and the equipment is in good shape. The corporate structure is the reason for the 1 star rating. I went 18 times for exercises following a shoulder scope. Not a big deal. I was charged an avg of $355/hr on those visits. That is exorbitantly expensive to roll a yoga ball up the wall, pull on a rubber band or lift a 6lb dumbbell. Their bills are purposefully vague. BCBS did not know why there was so much difference from one visit to the next either. They don't see any details or description on the codes either.
The customer service rep at Athletico Corp HQ, where you have to call about bills rather the Howell office, was not able to release itemized details of the visits, their boss was the only one who could. Never over my 7 different surgeries in the last 20 years, or many dr's appt's, or 8 different physical therapists that I have seen, have the bills not been itemized. Mind blowing to me.
Took 2+ weeks of calling to get the 'boss' Melissa Wagner to contact me, and that was not on the phone, but over email. Back and forth with her for a few weeks and then I got the itemized details. Those itemized bills still did not disclose, nor would Melissa, why some exercises were listed at Qty 1 one visit, and Qty 2 another. The itemized details did not disclose length of visit total or time spent on each exercise. I had to then jump through hoops with Athletico to get the 78 pages of my Physical Therapist's visit notes and go through them to figure out the 15 min block charging scheme. I was told they don't charge by the minute, but they do, 15 min blocks per exercise. So 18 minutes on an exercise, and you get charged QTY 2. $150.00 for Yoga ball and rubber band exercises, rather than the $75 for 15 mins of that same stuff. I would avoid this place at all costs, mainly the costs to you!
