Kate was my therapist and she does a great job listening to you and tailoring the therapy to your particular needs. I appreciated her "big picture" approach to my shoulder injury. I did not feel that my privacy was respected throughout treatment. On at least 2 occasions I overhead patients talking about things I was working on. Often people stared, and got quiet when I started talking. It was incredibly obvious, but staff just ignored it. Also, when I walked around people would touch/hold the part of their body that I was being treated for. For example, if I was there for a knee problem, they would touch their knee (hypothetically speaking) as I walked by. It was embarrassing. I hope a HIPPA violation was not taking place. Medical records are confidential, even if the space is open. Maybe I'll ask my insurance company.

She has helped me to learn easy tools that have greatly improved this painful chronic condition. I have been to other physical therapists before but didn't get any improvement. I started to see positive results from her techniques within a few weeks !

I had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands about 3 months ago. I was having severe pain due to me deciding to have the surgeries so close together. After almost losing hope that the pain and cramps would ever go away, my doctor decided to finally send me to hand therapy. It was thee best thing I could have ever done. Josh and Phil were so attentive and genuinely cared about my struggles with my aches and pain. After the first few visits I really noticed a big difference in my hands. It was incredible, they are the nicest people. They don't force you to do excercises that are too hard and are always asking if you are okay to ensure you are always comfortable. The ladies in the front are super nice people as well. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place to anyone.

I really enjoy my physical therapy sessions. The therapists here are great. It is very easy to book an appointment, and I never wait in the waiting room for more than 5 minutes. The sessions usually take about an hour, and the sessions were tailored to my pain levels for that day. I have definitely noticed an improvement in my sciatica.

I have gone to Select Physical Therapy (formerly Patriot Sports) at the Shawnee Road location for various conditions since 2014, including post-surgical foot therapy, hand/shoulder/neck pains, and back/hip/leg pains. My experience has been consistently first-rate, due in most part to the professional expertise of the therapists and the patient-friendly atmosphere of the Shawnee Road facility. An important part of their success in patient recovery is the way therapists work directly with each patient one-on-one, including the supervision of exercises, instead of delegating that to lesser-trained assistants as often happens elsewhere. I work mainly with the lead therapist, who is innovative in applying her knowledge and skills to different cases. They also have a wonderful receptionist who makes it easy to set up appointments and do the paperwork. I recommended this facility to my doctors and friends over the years and will continue to do so.

I went to Courtney for a shoulder issue. She is very professional and amazing to work with. Her knowledge is extremely impressive. The doctor I had seen that recommended me to her said I may have shoulder tendinitis. Courtney did an assessment of my shoulder when I arrived and tried some things to loosen it and see how it felt. Long story short, I do not have tendinitis in my rotator cuff but other small issues. She has done a great job with it and in 2 visits, I feel so much better. I would and will 100% recommend her to anyone looking to have any PT work done.

Due to the the doctors office referring me to the wrong location it was a bit frustrating at first to get scheduled. Once the staff at this location got all paperwork, scheduling went fairly quick. I had to see a visiting PT on my first visit Beau and he was very good at explaining what I would be experiencing and giving me easy exercises to start my program. My main PT is Joe and occasionally Nikita as they specialize in lower back injuries. They both have listened and have had to adjust my treatment due to a car accident and some exercises make my leg go numb. If I have an appointment with one PT but not the other, they still take time to say hello and ask how I'm feeling. Unfortunately, it's not always one on one but they do try their very best to make sure that patients are taken care of as best as they can. Best of all little or no waiting time for your appointment!

Although my doctor's practice has its own physical therapy, he recommended Select Physical Therapy due to my expressed desire to have a more committed, one-on-one, physical therapy. At first, I was very pleased, until my third visit, when I had another therapist, unfamiliar with me, foisted on me. Her demands for certain exercises were different from the ones that I had been doing and resulted in my straining my back once again... hello back spasms. I sought a new therapist for my return, was very pleased as Tim seemed to really listen and modified exercises & treatment to meet the needs of this new injury as well as to develop a better plan of exercise to warm up my back. Although Tim & I had setup the remainder of my visits/treatments with him, at one set appointment time... many days later Tim let me know that I would be seeing my original therapist for evaluation on the 2nd to last treatment day. I found Tim to be a quality PT who evaluated and developed a meaningful therapy plan and procedures to meet my physical needs. On the 2nd to the last treatment day.... no evaluation... and I had to share my therapist with another patient. The entire focus of my treatments, in so far as I was concerned, was to have someone watching me to insure that I was doing everything correctly and to be available for discussion when I was assigned new exercises.... in other words... to be "trained" to do everything correctly for good habits, muscle memory, et al. My original PT knew that I had hurt myself under the supervision of the 2nd PT... not once did he inquire as to my recovery. Last night I was describing my experiences with my wife and found that I was growing more and more disillusioned with my experience ... no, more and more angry.... I don't need angry. I have called and cancelled my last visit, which, supposedly, was to be an evaluation (oh, wait, that was supposed to be the last time), so what is that going to do for me except take me back into the office where I am going to ask to speak to someone in authority to share with them this whole story.... and grow angry again. I need to know that my PT is familiar with me, has given thought to my needs, and has prepared a plan; as opposed to impromptu decisions that lead to my re-injury.

When I walked out of that session, my ankle was pain free for the first time in many years! They need more trained physical therapist. I was given to a new inexperience PT after two visits. They had me doing the same things and my session last less then 30 minutes. The facility is small with only one room which was used most of the time leaving me outside in the main room when receiving heat therapy and stems. Compared to the Smith Clinic they are rated very low. The Smith Clinic has a large main room and many office rooms to receive heat and stem away from the noise of the main room. The Physical Therapist was well training at the Smith Clinic and I saw him almost every visit. He stretched me out really good a did deep muscle massage and pressure point. The PT at physiotherapy associate had a hard time appling pressure and was unsure what to do. The main PT did not even assist the new PT just left her to figure it out. The Smith Clinic had more professional equipment and smiling faces. The only reason I didn't go back was because my insurance changes and they no longer take that insurance.

Not only did we have to go to another company to get rotator cuff therapy because the clowns here at Select was not doing the job right ,we almost ended up back in surgery because of it . Then the bills come in and they are all over the place with multiple pricing for the same hours work. The billing dept runs us in circles . Get your prices up front and in writing is all I can say

I went in for PT originally to strengthen my abdomen, due to what appeared initially to be a hernia. No hernia was actually detected, but my doctor recommended strengthening the abdominal wall and referred me to Select Physical Therapy. Right from the start, everyone at SPT was amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, and worked with my limitations patiently. After the first session, I noticed immediate results. Second week into my program, I was in a bad bicycle wreck the night before my appointment. They were really understanding and we resumed the following week after I healed up enough to walk. My entire right side was banged up pretty badly, especially my upper thigh. My recent bike injury added some new challenges to my PT routine, and this was taken into account and additional attention was given to help work to speed the healing in my leg as well. I’d send people to SPT in a heartbeat! In addition to all the professional excellence, they really love what they do and it shows. They also have excellent musical taste!

John is my therapist and has been able to work with me to subside most of the pain from my shoulder injury. After a few appointments, I was able to see a lot of improvement.
