After suffering nearly two years with pain in the arch of my foot I was feeling extremely discouraged. The podiatrist was recommending yet another orthodic at a cost of $450. I was told I had weak arches that needed support. I’d already tried a different orthodic, two braces, a boot, and cortisone injections. I told my doctor that before I purchase another orthodic I wanted to try physical therapy. Advanced Sports Therapy came highly recommended by a colleague. I can’t say enough about the quality of care I received from my therapist Will Austin. After a thorough evaluation I began an exercise plan. I found some of the exercises caused discomfort in my knee and adjustments were made that worked to protect my knee. The exercises were challenging and at first even a little painful. I kept at it and within two months I’m happy to report I am walking nearly pain free. I do my exercises daily and my arch is getting stronger all the time. I’ve tossed the old braces,boot, and orthodox. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

Scott Kuhn is an outstanding physical therapist! He came highly recommended, and has helped both my son and daughter recover from numerous sport-related injuries. He also provided excellent care to my husband -- a master plumber -- on numerous occasions. Plumbing work is tough on knees and hips. Scott was extremely knowledgeable in assisting my husband with his recovery from hip replacement surgery, as well as knee surgery. I went there for my hips first, and after because I got frozen shoulder. Scott since the beginning was very helpful and highly committed with therapy and exercises. Even when I had to go to the shoulder specialist he sent to him a very detail note of all of my situation. I am still in therapy, and I can see my improvements every day. Andrea's assessment of my problem included her listening well, asking pertinent questions, and a thorough physical evaluation. I felt she truly understood what was going on with my neck. The exercises she gave me are easy to follow, and after 4 sessions are already making significant changes in my comfort level. Since I'm 60 years old, and this has been a chronic problem, I was thrilled to get treatment that makes such a difference, and I'll continue doing these easy exercises for the rest of my life in order to prevent recurrence of pain and inflammation. I could not be happier.

Awesome place. Expert staff of people who are compassionate, knowledgeable and effective. My PT person was Will, who I would highly recommend, but everyone was great. AST also has some great co-ops from Northeastern University. They give the rehab area youth and energy! These folks really got me back on my feet after a serious leg injury. Yes, your doctor does the surgery and sees you every six weeks. But PT's are the people who will make you whole again. Stick to the best, and if you can, go to AST.

She really listens to the patient's concerns and feedback and recommends effective therapies and exercises to target the injury. I have had excellent experience working with Kanella at Advanced Sports Therapy for ankle and shoulder injuries. Kanella is an outstanding physical therapist with superb knowledge of sports related injuries; she also has keen insight as to the optimal protocol for each injury and type of pain. The rehab process can be challenging but Kanella makes each visit over several months a positive and enjoyable experience.

This was my first PT experience ever and it was amazing. I couldn't be more pleased with the care they provided me. I primarily worked with Will Austin and he was so thorough and warm. He explained everything and answered all of my crazy questions. He followed through on everything that he said he would from email me the "homework" to touching base the following week on special activities or exercises.
