Everyone is so friendly and happy to help. Very relaxing environment. The therapist always ask how are you feeling and what needs to be worked on. Always feel very well taken care of.

The secretary, the wonderful Ms. Stephanie, is always punctual and helpful in scheduling or rescheduling my visits. Everyone else from the PT team follows up with phenomenal results & remedies in helping me get back to my 100% health. I strongly recommend coming here for your treatment!

Kenneth Santos

I’ve been going to Active PT for almost a total of 2 years due to two separate shoulder injuries and a surgery. The 1st injury I recovered fully thanks to their commitment and diligence to my health. The 2nd I’m still currently receiving treatment for but I have the utmost confidence that the staff will help me get back to 100%. They are very knowledgeable and confident in their craft. The entire staff including the very friendly and helpful front desk have been excellent. I’d recommend them to anyone.

I had a work related injury, and my orthopedic doctor had this facility listed as one for physical and occupational therapy. I love this place and the people! They have great hours so if you have to work you can go in early for late. If something comes up last minute, they are very accommodating. Like anything else in life, if you want to improve, you have to work hard, and they help you to get there. After four months I am better than before and I owe it all to the staff. I would highly recommend them! They are like family.

I had to do two months of therapy this location was awesome with helping me in my recovery I still do the recommended exercise to help when I have moments of pain. The hours are great too because you don't have to miss work they open early and have good evening hours as well.

Danielle Eastham

Absolutely awesome staff that will have you fixed up in no time, only positive things to say.

The team at Active Physical Therapy provide some of the best physical therapy services in the city! They are dedicated to their patients care and take the time to make sure each one is getting the specialized treatments that they need in order to get back to their normal life. I highly recommend them!

Crystal Singleton

This place is great. They did not keep having me return for unnecessary treatments just to get more money. They are honest and friendly. They’re extremely knowledgeable and capable of treating your ailments. I was being scene for pain of my sciatica nerve in my left leg. I had dry needling performed and it was the best thing for me. This was in 2017 if I remember correctly and I’ve not had the problem return.

Harry Lew

I came to Active Physical Therapy for my shoulder injury. When I started working with Dr. Leah, I cant get my arm past my head without feeling pain. After 2 months under her care, I was able to get back to my exercise routine. I also learnt how to warm up my shoulder properly before a workout and how to build more stability to my shoulder from Dr Leah. The staffs are very professional and knowledgeable, and I see half of them in CFGV. 10 out 10 would suggest this place!

Amazing therapists who really know what they're doing. I have had a nagging shoulder injury that's held back my athletic performance. But after meeting with one of the therapists here my shoulder already feels much better!

Vickie Dimond

Fantastic facility for physical therapy, fully recovered with their help from a back injury in 2014, and now Mandi and Kat, now help with migraine relief!!!

Kat has the fingers of a god

I’ve been working in the therapy world for over 5 years now, and I’m very picky about dry needling and who to see for physical therapy. Active PT is a superior clinic, with welcoming staff and a warm atmosphere. Dr. Mandi’s been paramount to eliminating my neck and shoulder pain (seriously she’s the best at dry needling), and her exercises have improved my overall performance in CrossFit. I recommend them to any of my family, friends who want to help alleviate pain and to maximize their strengths both in and outside the gym.

Mallory Waggenspack

I went to Active PT to help with my headaches. Dr. Vonderhaar had the massage therapist work with me, and used her dry needling techniques on my neck and back. It truly helped with my headaches and muscle tension. I would definitely recommend Active PT!

Allie Terek

I couldn’t be happier with my decision to go to Active Physical Therapy to help me overcome back pain, build strength, and improve stability to support my active lifestyle. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and great to work with. If you are experiencing pain you should absolutely check this place out.

This is rather a long review but if you really want to know why I rated this location 5 stars please read on. If you don't have time here are key words for my 5 star rating: Professional, knowledgable, kind, caring, clean, convenient location, equipment in great shape including anti gravity treadmill, supportive and challenging. I visited Active Physical Therapy prior to having my 4th knee replacement (revision) surgery October 2015. I was given a tour of the facility and talked, Dr. Mandi Fetters, PT. The facility was clean, orderly, they offered not only PT but a licensed massage therapist on staff, dry needling therapy and the use of an anti-gravity treadmill, which allows you to begin non to low weight bearing movement on a the treadmill. The location on Rome-Hilliard Road was easy to get to, close to my work and plenty of parking. Based on my observations - I decided to use this facility for my rehab. My surgery took place on Monday, early November and I made my first visit that Friday. My surgery involved a total replacement including the insertion of metal stakes/rods in both my femur and tibia. I was not going to receive in home therapy and knew that I needed to begin rehab ASAP to get my knee only to bend but to also get it straight. The staff was very supportive, knew when to challenge me to improve to the next recovery level. The facility was neat and equipment and tables were wiped down and cleaned in between patients. All the staff conducted themselves professionally, were always very cheerful and knowledgeable. I have never been to a PT facility were everyone was always positive and their focus was on all of the patients. All the therapists had an uncanny attention to detail - they didn't miss a thing. My therapist (Mandi) paid attention to my breathing, muscle movements, facial expressions and body reactions to therapy as I performed re-hab exercises. Both Mandi and Kevin provided rehab exercise guidance throughout my recovery. I like to play golf - the group helped me get my stance back and swing with out pain (no one can help my score but I can drive the ball again). I also had Katrina (licensed massage therapist) help my surgery knee by concentrated massage therapy. The alter-g (Anti Gravity Treadmill) not only helped my obtain my correct walking stance again but provided mental encouragement that I was walking and recovering. If you do your exercise home work (if you are physically capable) and listen to the staff - you will be amazed at your quick recovery and your physical therapy will be a positive experience. Although my most recent surgery was one of my toughest - I recovered at least one month ahead of my other past knee replacements. Special thanks to Active Physical Therapy for getting me back on my feet.

I am so thankful for the care I have received at Active PT. Mandi is awesome! If you deal with chronic pain, check out dry needling. Dry needling, along with exercises have made a huge difference for me.

Andrew Rogers

Mandi does a great job and is highly knowledgeable. She got me back in the gym at full strength in only a couple weeks. I would highly recommend her and her entire team.

The workers are very helpful and friendly. They really break the silence when they’re working on my knee’s and ask about me, which i find very nice. After a month of physical therapy my knee’s were feeling a lot better. They tell you what you can do at home and not just here.

I have been to Active Physical Therapy several times for different problems over the years. I keep returning because I know when I return, I will get the best of care. Every therapist that I have worked with has been really great and has helped me reach my goals. The last was Aryanka. She listened to my concerns and tailored the therapy for my specific needs. Now, I am no longer dealing with that excruciating pain. Thank you Active Physical Therapy!

I had hurt my neck slightly doing kettlebell exercises in Feb 2012. I went to this place and after each session, my neck was lot worse and had to discontinue therapy after 3 sessions. 3 & half years later, I'm getting billed for 5 sessions, even I told them in no uncertain terms how unhappy I was with their service and lack of knowledge. They were busy watching basketball on tv while I had get up or raise my voice to get their attention, while my neck was in compromised position. Worse ever, stay away.

M Martin

Active PT was recommended to me after I had a bad experience at another PT place unrelated in the area where I live. Everyone at Active PT are very professional and pleasant! Monique is my favorite even though everyone is good and knowledgeable. I travel 45 minutes for PT because of the excellent service! Would definitely recommend Active PT!

DOLAPO JOHN

The physical therapists and the receptionists are both exceptionally and professionally caring. I certainly will recommend this place to anyone that needs therapeutic services.

Kinnari Desai

Arlet and the whole staff was great at taking good care of me after my car accident. They are very patient, caring and thorough. They answered all my questions in detail and always gave me printouts of my take home exercises since I kept losing them! They were also extremely flexible with appointment bookings and working with my busy schedule so thank you all!

At first everything seemed fine & I was really enjoyed attending therapy here at there Laurel, Md. Facility they do have some good workers, some more dedicated than others, however towards the end of my rehab, after I expressed to the staff and therapist that I was feeling better and was eager to rap up therapy and return to work. They changed and I started to noticing a difference in personable service. Being under Workers comp strict guidelines, with me being down and out, then have family issues because I was down and out made me have to hurry up to get better so I can get back to work. Apparently this staff didn’t want me to finish so they can keep billing the insurance company! I suppose!!!!! But if your feeling better , you don’t need to keep going to therapy! I told the therapist I feel good enough to return to work! But I was told I needed to complete the entire work hardening program before being able to be RE-evaluated. So they had me cancel my doctors to push it back! But after talking to an outside source they said, just let your Dr. know I’m feeling fine enough to return to full duty status and you’ll be cleared. So that what I did! So on Yesterday! I went to the Facility to get a full print out of every day I came In to turn into my lawyer, in which I see they added sessions that I didn’t schedule, and outlined that I canceled or didn’t show! Further Trying to SABOTAGE me ! Further more I know they had I’ll feeling about things because as I tried to say bye & thank you they turned away as the other staff couldn’t even look at me. I didn't know they added the dates until I got home to look at the paperwork before sending it off to my attorney. That’s why they couldn’t look at me for knowing what they did! THIS FACILITY IS ONLY ABOUT THE MONEY instead of truly treating /caring for its clients. IM WRITING THIS POST TO WARN PEOPLE TO BE AWARE OF WHOS CARE YOUR IN! CHOOSE ANOTHER THERAPY CENTER FOR TREATMENT. Plus they give everyone the same workout routine no matter what !

I have went to Missy and Leah at Active PT Hilliard for shoulder and lower back pain. They are great! They take something that is hindering you, fix it so that you can keep going, and then help with exercises so that you may even be stronger in that area than before. If you have a nagging injury or issue, they are definitely the people to see.

Paul Belaire

Currently in therapy to rehabilitate shoulder after rotator cuff surgery. Having been through PT a few times before with lackluster results, I can honestly say Dr. Leah is by far the best therapist I’ve ever worked with. Most places I’ve been to just print off a list of exercises, cut some bands, and send you on your way. At Active PT you get individualized programs and a good amount of one on one time to make sure the rehab protocols are effective and you know the correct way to perform them.

Robert Stewart

Best physical therapist in Hilliard!

Alexa Bokar

I can't thank everyone at Active Physical Therapy enough for all they've done for me over the last few months. The front office staff is fantastic and made me feel welcome from the second I walked in the door, and was always able to answer insurance/billing questions. I worked with Dr. Leah Vertullo and had such a great experience. She's brilliant and was able to get to the bottom of an injury I've been dealing with for over 10 years. My pain levels have decreased significantly over the last few months and Leah gave me the tools to continue progressing in the right direction. 10/10 would recommend.

Mike O'Shaughnessy

I went to Active Physical Therapy for a broken ankle due to sports. Barely being able to walk, I started working with Dr. Leah Vertullo. After just a few visits with Leah, I was almost back to being able to run and considering playing again. Great staff and very nice location in Hilliard. Hoping I don't have to go back, but if I did I would definitely go back to Active PT. Definitely do the dry needling if it is offered for your injury, I will not go to any place that does not utilize this technique from now on.

Pamela Lett

Active PT was referenced numerous times before I made the decision to go. Other Physical Therapists had helped me in the past but often with a limiting overtone "well, let's be realistic". Not "bad" advise perhaps when buying a car, but in achieving optimal wellness for a lifetime, why not aim high? And let's have some FUN in doing so! I went, I learned and applied small changes in work, sleep and in daily 10-15 minute exercise, rotating through a progression of weekly dry needling & movement. Mattie Betts, DPT is an attuned and engaging coach. Active PT is not just for athletes but you will begin to feel like one when taking charge over pain and restriction. Evidenced based (researched) including the positive setting! All my appreciation to Mattie, Leah, Saif, Kevin, Kat, Kelsey & Quincy.

Andrew Prater

Let me start by saying the front office person Kat is the most friendly person I've ever met! Missy has been my PT through a few powerlifting injuries and she is always so helpful! I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks Missy and crew at Active PT.

This was a less than stellar physical therapy experience and the billing office does not know what they are doing. I had to contact them several times to advise them on how to correctly bill my insurance. I would not recommend this provider to anyone.

Michael Thorne

Words can't begin to explain how amazing this place is. As a person with chronic knee instability, I am no stranger to psychical therapist offices. Active Phsical Therapy is top notch. The knowledge that I have obtained working with Dr. Leah Vertullo gives me confidence that I can continue to live an active lifestyle and be injury free, I have never had that confidence in the past. The customer service provided by Meg and everybody else at the front desk was top notch, very friendly, knowlegable and professional. The mobile app helped me not only remember, but gave me a visual representation of my stretches and exercises, helping me recover from injury with proper form (this is huge). Seriously this place is a gem!

Lisa Utrup

I cannot say enough how amazing my experience and road to recovery was at Active PT Hilliard. I had been suffering from injuries to each knee for 6 months before I finally started going to physical therapy as part of my treatment plan and my only regret is that I didn’t start going sooner. Everyone I encountered at Active PT was great and so nice. From my initial phone call to assess my injuries, to Meg at the front desk at each visit, and of course Leah Vertullo my PT. Leah was amazing. She really knows what she’s talking about and does such a great job of explaining things in a way to help you understand what’s going on with your body and how things work. She also finds creative ways to help you learn the techniques needed to help you through your recovery and beyond. She was also so encouraging and uplifting, which I needed after being unable to do the things I loved and my day to day activities had been affected for so long. I will definitely be recommending Active PT to others and will absolutely go back for any of my PT needs! And I can’t thank them enough for getting me back to my life again!!!

Currently seeing Leah at the Hilliard location and have had nothing but a positive experience thus far! The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. I wouldn’t consider anywhere else for all your physical therapy needs other than Active PT!!

Dakota Tombow

I struggled with lower back pain for months before I found Active. With the help of Dr. Mandi Fetters, I felt like a new man in a matter of a few visits. Not only are they knowledgeable, but they're also fun to be around. I really enjoyed going in each time. It's been a few months and I feel stronger than ever, so I highly recommend Active to anyone in need of PT.

John A

These guys are absolutely wonderful. I tore my rotator cuff and recently had surgery. My first visit to Active was apprehensive due to the horror stories that you hear with therapists doing the wrong things at the wrong times. Upon entering, Stephanie greeted me and was pleasant and helpful. With no more than a minute wait, I was back with Yonas who knew exactly where I was in my treatment and did a phenomenal job with my first visit. These folks know what they are doing and their demeanor matches their professionalism. Terrific experience!

Vanna Simms

My experience at Active Physical Therapy has been outstanding. The entire staff is very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. It has been a pleasure to work with Jane; her dedication to the science is unmatched.

Kenneth Blackwell

I was rear ended about 3 months ago, and the only smooth process since my car accident was the time spent at this clinic. Everyone was extremely friendly and attentive, and genuinely cared about my progress. The doctor would let me take my time to complete the exercises and assisted me with my form to make sure I was maximizing my time there by doing the treatments right. Even if I made it in late, I never felt rushed and pressured, my recovery was their main priority. I have recommended numerous colleagues and family members to this location and they've all loved it as well. Thanks to all the staff at Active!

The practice has convenient hours. The female therapists are hard working and professional. The male therapists are unmotivated and unhelpful... Just read Ricky's review. I wholeheartedly agree. The TV channel was locked on ESPN and so were the eyes of every male physical therapist at that practice. The person who was assigned to me one day, walked me to the recumbent bike but didn't know how to input the time and resistance parameters. He walked away and I had to call him back to ask how to input the settings. He just handed me a timer and said pedal until this beeps.

Aisha M

Good therapy place with very friendly staff!!!

Cari Serrano

Ive been suffering for over 7 years of back pain, this place has literally given me hope again. I can actually bend over without excruciating back pain!! Their repetitive excercises and encouragement to continue and not give up is 100% love from deep in. Thank you guys so much for putting as much effort into your patients as you do your job. Thank you for allowing me to feel normal again!! ❤️

Adam Luckow

I recently had back surgery and Kevin, Mandi, and Katrina along with the rest of the staff have made the recovery a pleasurable experience. They are very knowledgeable and profosessional while still maintaining a friendly environment. Everybody there is always honest and patient through the whole process. I would highly recommend Active physical therapy.

The folks at Active Physical Therapy are absolutely fantastic. In mid January I was worried I wouldn't be playing much more hockey or be doing any running this summer due to my hamstring. The injury had lingered for months without me doing anything about it. Kevin had a great plan for me with dry needling and stretches that worked wonders and in a really short period of time. I'm back to doing all the things I used to do and feeling great. This team is a great group of professionals who really know what they are doing!

Maxwell Docksey

I recently injured what I thought to be my rotator cuff while I was on the road for work. After about a day I realized that my injury was actually somewhat significant and immediately emailed Dr. Leah to set up an appointment. She got me in for PT immediately. I have been working with her every week for the past five weeks and can definitely say that without her help my recovery would not have been possible. My favorite part about working with Dr. Leah is her willingness to answer every single one of my (many) questions. She spends a lot of time and energy helping me understand what's wrong with my shoulder and more importantly why the exercises, dry needling, scraping, etc will help me improve quickly and correctly. I also appreciate that Leah, and everyone at Active PT, understands that we all have different goals with our recovery. Leah's goal is not just to make my shoulder pain go away, she works diligently to ensure that I can reach my goals as an athlete and can come back better than before my injury. Also, she lets me talk to her about all of my Game of Thrones conspiracy theories... so that's cool. I cannot recommend Active PT enough. 10 stars. If you're injured, or just want to see someone about nagging pains and aches, you need to call Active PT right now.

Callie McInturf

I think we can all admit that if you’re in need of PT, you’re probably not thrilled about it. I’ve worked with Active PT through several injuries, and most recently with a concussion. From a wrist injury to perpetual back pain, torn ligaments in my ankle, and the like, Dr. Mandi, Dr. John, Meg, Danielle, and all the others on their team will get my highest recommendation every single time. They’re personable, professional, but also call me out when I’m pushing too hard. They’re more than just doctors. As an athlete who’s clearly prone to injury, I love feeling like they’re in my corner, not trying to keep me away from the sport I love. Instead they offer wisdom and help me understand the reasoning behind the work we’re doing. I never leave feeling like I have more questions than I went in with. In fact, they always seem to answer questions I didn’t even know I had. Go see them, I stand behind my promise that you won’t regret it.

Jacob Huff

Nothing but great things to say about the Active PT. I have been dealing with shoulder issues, along with nerve pain in my arm from my CrossFit workouts. Since working with Mandi, I have seen dramatic improvements in my shoulder mobility along with decreased nerve pain. I highly recommend the Active PT for anyone, but especially athletes looking to correct on going issues.

Meg Kemerer

Active PT is amazing. I started seeing Mandi at my Crossfit box for a knee injury and she had me back to almost 100% in a couple of months! I would highly recommend trying the dry needling(if they suggest it) even if you are afraid of needles. It really does help almost immediately. It was like magic! The staff in general is great and very knowledgeable. They care about their patients and go above and beyond all expectations.

Brooklyn Garland

Edited: they resolved the billing issue and were more than gracious about it. I went back and forth on what rating to give but decided on a 3, because while I was in their care the treatment I was received was good. The problem has come to be with the billing department as I was under their care due to a car accident. They billed a claim under a miscellaneous code (to try to get more money per the insurance people),claim was rejected, they never billed it again. I settled my claim because everything that all of the insurance had had already been billed and paid out. Over a year later I received a bill for a visit that they finally decoded to bill correctly...but now that the accident claim has been settled I am responsible for that. If I don't pay a bill within a reasonable time limit, there are consequences. Apparently that same principle doesn't apply to a business who made a mistake with billing because now I as the customer have to pay for their mistake.

AshleyNoel Swarn

The exercises and knowledge I have gained from only a handful of sessions has been so valuable to me. I started working with Active PT because I had injured my hip flexor and was having continuous pain during workouts. After my sessions, I knew exactly what was causing my pain and how to fix my form so that I wouldn’t continuously re-injure myself. I no longer have any hip flexor pain! Thank you so much Active PT!!! Highly recommended.

Realtor Scott Walker

Very knowledgeable, professional, convenient and available. Have recommended to many friends and family.

They've done my mom a world of good - she's a new person with a new lease on life thanks to Dr. Do.

Derek Aspinall

Such a wonderful place. Staff are super friendly, very knowledgeable and provide a great support mechanism for those participating in treatment. Can't thank them enough.

Molly Gardner

Ive been coming here to active pt for over a year for 3 protruding disks in my thorasic spine. Id had the problem from high school sports and had been living with the pain for 5 years. I had done pt at another establishment for over 2 years with little sucess and the pain meds and cortisone injections were not working. After only a few pt and dry needling visits at active pt i was already feeling better! About 6 months in i was strong enough to continue on my own but unfortunately was injured in a car accident. All the ppl there are really nice and easy to talk to, they care and love their jobs! Without them i would still b in major pain and not able to do the things i love. As of october my mri showed no protruding disks! We are working on my strength and i will start to do all of me exercises at home, next week is my last visit. I love all the people there, they r like family. Mandi is my pt and my rock and kat is my message therapist and my workout buddy (plank buddy). Thank you mandi, kat, and kevin for everything!

Jason Harris

Kevin was awesome!! He was very knowledgeable, personable and exceedingly competent. The PT was cutting edge even though I went for a workers comp evaluation. I received great customer service and care at this PT practice. I would recommend this PT location to anyone in need of PT services.

Rachel Dyas

I had my first appointment this week with Dr. Fetters and I am very happy with the service so far. I came in due to shoulder pain I am having and from the first interaction with Kat I felt very taken care of. I can tell they truly care about the patients and are dedicated to helping them feel better and get the treatments they need. Dr. Mandi Fetters was extremely nice and welcoming and really took the time to ask about my medical history, about the problems I was having now and educated me along the way. She was knowledgeable and thorough about the exercises I should be doing and made sure I had the equipment and instructions I needed to do them on my own. Although I have only had one visit so far (and one scheduled next week) I can already tell that they are not only going to be a great help to my shoulder pain, but in educating me as well. Best physical therapy clinic in Hilliard by far and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Columbus area looking for physical therapy!

Martha Mathis

Very professional Physical therapy staff and secretary at front of office.Everyone in this practice is polite, enthusiatic, pushed and encouraged me through the physical therapy that I needed. Dr. Mandi Fetters-Vonderhaar was through, professional, upbeat, and helpful in my recovery and improved ambulation. I would recommend this clinic to anyone needing physical therapy regardless of what he or she specifically needs.

Mary Ann Fuller

Always good good and great service

Scott Manifold

I've had nothing but good experiences at Active Physical Therapy. I started going here when they were at their original location for shoulder rehab after an injury. My daughter also was a patient here with great results for chronic back pain. As this practice has grown and moved, they've only gotten better with more options to meet the needs of all kinds of patients with various issues. They are just a fantastic group of people.

Justin Leffew

Awesome facility, great staff, more knowledgeable than any doctor I've seen. Seriously.

I had really bad shin splints from running and needed to fix it before I left for Navy Officer Candidate School where I knew I would have to do a lot of running. Home therapy wasn’t working so I chose Active Physical Therapy because I read they offer dry needling procedures. Dry needling helped break up the deep, tight knots in my shins that surface massaging couldn’t possibly reach. I experienced an awesome feeling of relief in my shins after each treatment. Along with dry needling, Mandi and the staff helped me strengthen the surrounding muscles to prevent future running-related injuries. We also did a video breakdown of me running on the treadmill so I could see the flaws in my running form that factored into my shin splints. After four visits, my shin pain was completely eliminated and they helped me transform my running technique (stepping with the mid-forefoot with lighter impacts). I recently graduated from Navy OCS and didn’t experience any shin pain whatsoever the whole time and even recorded personal bests on the 1.5 mile run. In short, the wonderful staff at Active Physical Therapy got to the core of my shin pain, helping me to identify all factors of my injury and fix them to prevent the injury from returning. They even check in with me every once in awhile to make sure things are still going okay. I couldn’t be happier with the service and results.

Hobart King

I worked with Mandy for 2+ years and she was able to work wonders on diagnosing and fixing issues I was having with my back and shoulders. I couldn't have been happier with the service. Highly recommended!

Matt Dodovich

I have nothing but positive things to say about Active Physical Therapy. Although Missy has been the PT treating me during my time there, I've interacted with the other staff members and the interns. This is a very professional, knowledgeable and fun group of people. They have really helped me with my sciatic pain and have provided a lot of good advice and techniques that I've incorporated into my personal workouts and daily activities. Let me be clear, while this group is fun, they are no nonsense and down-to-business. When they say "active" physical therapy, they mean it. However, the work justifies itself when you see the results. My PT is mostly covered by insurance, so I really can't speak to their pricing, but it's definitely been worth the money I *have* paid. Gun to my head, if I had to list a shortfall, it's that they don't always update the "Tip of the Week." If you're going to commit to it, you've got to follow through. It's like I read somewhere once- it's all about setting realistic goals. ;) Oh, and an online payment system would be nice. I mean, what year is it, 1994? Very satisfied patient.

I sprained my ankle last fall and went through Physical therapy at another location for several months. After I was released I wasn't convinced I was at 100% and when it started bothering me again I decided to check out Active Physical Therapy. Coming here was like Night and Day from the other office. Within the first 30 minutes I had learned more about my injury & body then I did from the 30 visits at the other place (yes, I really did go 30 times). The work is hard but I can already feel my self building up strength and the pain easing away. I cannot recommend this place enough, if you want real results and an awesome staff (and office pup some days a week!) you should check it out. Thank you to the Active PT Team, you're all awesome!

Andrea Keele

I broke my ankle and had surgery about 7 years ago while overseas with limited follow-up care. After returning home several months later, I finally went to P.T. in Georgia. That's all I knew of P.T. I did the best I could, but left after several weeks with a little more strength, but very little change in range of motion. I just figured that was life. A week and a half ago, I jogged a 5k and ended up with a lot of pain in that leg. A few days later I went to Active Physical Therapy, and after two visits, have no pain and greater range of motion than I think I've ever had. Very grateful and definitely recommend this place! I also agree that it's a welcoming, friendly, relaxing environment.

Finding the perfect Physical Therapist can be challenging. It involves entrusting someone to motivate, care and nurture you back to health. This was the case for me after sustaining a knee and rotator cuff injury in November of 2018. It was and still is very traumatic and sensitive for me because I am relearning things that I once knew. Yet, upon receiving a script from an Orthopedic Specialist I began researching and calling around to begin my road to recovery. I contacted Active in Laurel and spoke with Stephanie. The smile I felt, from her, through the phone, mustered me up enough energy to visit. BEST DECISION EVER! Along with a warm welcome, my Physical Therapist is knowledgeable, personable and genuinely cares about my progress. She is attentive to all of my aches and pains all while pushing me forward. Arlette you ROCK! I have had the opportunity of working with and observing everyone there and they are all experienced. If you want to recover in a clean, comfortable, welcoming environment with great staff, then choose Active Physical Therapy!

Long story short: Go here if you want to improve and fix your physical ailments now. I’ve had back problems stemming from 2012 - lower back pain, shoulder and neck pain, middle back - I haven’t felt right since 2012. Fast forward to 2017-2018 and I had two major instances where either my back locked up or my neck locked up. It was so bad that I couldn’t get out of bed or get up from the floor. I couldn’t turn my head nor could I pick anything up off the floor. Not to mention my three year old who loves to wrestle and doesn’t care that his father’s neck and back were in shambles. The last time was the last straw. I made an appointment at Active Physical Therapy. On my first visit, the therapist was thorough; he asked me about my back history, about any injuries, what was hurting, level of pain, etc. Then, the therapist starts the physical assessment, putting me through different motions, taking measurements, level of comfort, etc. After the tests and his assessment, we work through some stretches and exercises. At the end of my first session, I could already tell a difference in how my back, neck and shoulders felt. I have gone back five more times and each time I could feel my body getting better and stronger. On top of the sessions at Active Physical Therapy, I was given an exercise and stretching regimen to build up a foundation to strengthen my back, shoulders and core. I can’t thank the folks at Active Physical Therapy enough. All the employees at Active Physical Therapy are the nicest people and I always feel welcome - it is customer service at its finest. My only regret is that I didn’t go sooner. Thank you Active Physical Therapy!

I had a wonderful experience at Active PT. My PT Leah Vertullo corrected my knee problem in a very short amount of time. She is a strength athlete, and her expertise in the weight room was instrumental in getting me back on track. A relaxed atmosphere and positive attitudes made the process painless.

I had an amazing experience here! The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I had never been to a Physical Therapist before but I'm sure to comeback here if I have any problems or discomfort. My knee pain is gone thanks to the help of Leah!

I have been going to Active Physical Therapy for one month with a foot problem. At the present time I am at about 75% better and can walk without pain. The people here are like family and the care is exceptional. My husband also was a patient here and his back is much better than it was when he first walked in. He had a very good experience here and felt very confortable with his therapist. He would recommend APT to anyone who needed excellent care.

Listen... active physical therapy is the best in the business. Missy, Mandi and Kevin are some of the most knowledgeable people when it comes to movements, mobility and getting you back to the activities you do the most. The staff is incredibly friendly and always polite and professional when you come in! Also... they're atheletes themselves and really know what pains and aches come with crossfit or any high intensity sport! If you need help with any pains or injuries there is no other place to look! Also.. they have a DOG!! Come meet Griffey they happiest dog in town!!!

Stop what you’re doing and go see Missy!! She helped me with my postpartum recovery in so many ways.. She helped my back pain from nursing with lots of exercises, posture correction, and dry needling, massaged my c section scar and taught me how to do it at home, helped me get back to the barbell to get back to Olympic style lifting, supported pelvic floor recovery, and assessed my abs to get everything back in order (and so much more!)! I felt so supported and could tell she is one of the very best in the business! She works with my brother, a CrossFit athlete, and it’s obvious that she can help anyone with any need! She was ready and willing to help me recover in every way possible and answer every question I had! Go hang with Missy ASAP!

I recently had knee surgery and Kevin along with the rest of the staff have helped me to get back to work and living my life quickly and effectively. They used the latest techniques and equipment along with sound training principles to enable me to recover completely. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. Something else that I really like is that they have interns working along side the therapists so they are actively training up the next generation, which is something that I believe to be key to this field of medicine and wellness.

Active Physical Therapy traveled over an hour to do a presentation for a high school cross country team. The presentation, professionalism, and content were all A+ material and they really worked with the student-athletes to help them not only learn the exercises, but to do the exercises correctly. It was an awesome experience for 40 high school students. They are great at what they do and we appreciated all they did for us in terms of working to not only deal with injuries, but prevent them as well.

I went to Active Physical Therapy yesterday with my client Sam and his wife Tracy. Sam had a stroke about four years ago and was in a coma for three months. Sam cannot walk under normal circumstances but Active Physical Therapy has an Alter G treadmill. The alter g basically adjusts gravity to take up to 80 percent of your weight away. When I first heard of the Alter G I immediately thought that it might help Sam to walk again. It was not easy getting Sam into the Alter G but we managed. The staff was extremely nice and helpful especially Kat and Mandy. I will definitely be going back with Sam and will go there if I ever need a physical therapist again. If you need physical therapy or want to try out the alter g this is the place to go!

Great place for athletes. PTs with CDN really help.

I came to Active PT after shoulder surgery, and was very pleased with the decision. Dr. Kevin Do helped me regain shoulder stability and strength as well as range of motion, and the entire process was enjoyable. The entire staff is very welcoming and every appointment is an enjoyable experience, definitely recommended.
