I was not impressed by the dingy facility, staff, or sneaky cancellation fees. My Physical Therapist was good, but I learned I would only meet with them the first time and then be passed onto students for remaining visits. I wouldn't recommend it.

Great staff, I spent a few months recovering from back surgery at therapy works. Everyone was always great. The few times I had last minute schedule changes they did the best they could to accommodate me. They also have a wellness center if you need a small gym. Hope to never need therapy services again but if I do I'll go back here.

Be aware that Therapy Works considers themselves as a "SPECIALTY" therapy. I.E. they will charge your insurance company as if you were seeing a specialist. EVERY VISIT!!! If they had charged otherwise I would have paid ~$15 a visit rather than $40, then add up the multiple times a week times the number of weeks. All while you are working primarily with KU students. Now That's SPECIAL!!!!!

All the PT and PTAs are awesome here. They genuinely care and are the best pt place I have been to ever. Great place to go for massages and sports therapy too. The front desk ladies are super cool as well.

I came back from Peace Corps service unable to walk, drive, or sit without pain. Today I'm running again, pain free, due to the treatment and education I received at Bodyworks. I was at Bodyworks for about five months, twice weekly. Preston, my therapist, paid careful attention to my explanation of how I'd gotten injured and adapted my routines as my strength and balance improved. He also tested out IASTM on me, and sought out IASTM training and tools when it was clear that this technique would help me. Other staff members cheerily assisted and provided support during exercises, and I got absolutely extraordinary massages from Jen. I also attended a number of their injury and rehabilitation workshops, and learned a bunch about how to treat and prevent injuries. At their running clinics, therapists conducted two running gait analyses and helped me get into shoes that would provide the support I needed. Some of the stretches I learned at these events, I still use every time I run. I've tried other PT facilities since and been disappointed; I haven't found another that provided such comprehensive and holistic service, or where I felt that all of the staff--assistants, therapists, and clinic staff--were so dedicated to doing an excellent job. As an aside, I also really appreciate the fact that they sell Therabands by the foot. I still use these in conditioning and drills, and the prices online are absurd. But I can purchase the amount I need from them at a $1 a foot, and that's kept me supplied since. Overall, exceptional service and care. I would highly recommend them to anyone with soft-tissue injuries or strains, and especially to injured runners. Bodyworks staff won't guilt you about the sport you love; they'll just help you get back to it stronger and more confident.

We came to Therapy Works a few months ago to treat my teenage daughter's bulging disc. We had tried physical therapy at another location months before, with no success. The Therapy Works staff spent time thoroughly evaluating her, and working with her to teach her stretches and exercises that will continue her healing after our appointments ended. We so much appreciated the cheerful, helpful and supportive staff (from the front desk to the CEO) who were all engaged in our progress. I highly recommend Therapy Works, and although would like to never have to be treated for an injury again, would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you!

I had been to therapy works before. I had a great experience but that was about five years ago. This time the experience was the worst one could possibly have. First off, no one told me I had a balance due until I walked in one day and the balance was at about $700. Not even an invoice in the mail and I had been going for a few months by this time. It is obvious that something has changed. When I was going five years ago there was never an open spot on the calendar, and this time around there was always one when I had a last minute opening. I travel for work and I told them this at my first appointment. I don't always have control of my schedule. I was always able to get an open appointment when I needed one and was charged without being told when I couldn't get back to town in time for my appointment. When I went in and discussed this issues I was told by the billing staff that they had no paperwork signed discussing my insurance benefits or payment policies so no one must have not gone over all this. They still expected payment and even payment for the missed appointments. Now the therapy issues. The students they have working there are nice people, but very few of them are doing their jobs. They would ask me to do 10 of something, and I would do 8 or 12 just to see if they were paying attention. Not once did any of them say anything. It became a game. Several of the exercises I had to do seemed useless, and I told one of the therapist this and her response was "I am sorry, but it is the protocol." Everyone is different so how do you have a protocol? I am in very good shape and just had a injured muscle in my back and was doing the same exercises that someone who was in half my shape was doing. I felt no benefit from most of them. The most I got out of therapy was the E-stem. Every time I went in I saw someone different, and every time the exercises were explained differently. There was no continuity in any part of the therapy other than E-stem at the end of each session. I have never felt more used my insurance/money from any establishment and felt they could care less for me health. If you look at employee reviews they have a 3 star. This pretty much explains why this place is no longer delivering the quality of care they once did. I will never go there again, and will be sure to let any know of my experience.

Therapist and aide are wonderful! Very easy to talk to. Regime tailored with other physical restrictions always considered in plan. I was worried going in. I've had good & bad experiences with different physical therapy establishments, Therapy Works ranks right up there with the best.
