I came back from Peace Corps service unable to walk, drive, or sit without pain. Today I'm running again, pain free, due to the treatment and education I received at Bodyworks.
I was at Bodyworks for about five months, twice weekly. Preston, my therapist, paid careful attention to my explanation of how I'd gotten injured and adapted my routines as my strength and balance improved. He also tested out IASTM on me, and sought out IASTM training and tools when it was clear that this technique would help me.
Other staff members cheerily assisted and provided support during exercises, and I got absolutely extraordinary massages from Jen.
I also attended a number of their injury and rehabilitation workshops, and learned a bunch about how to treat and prevent injuries. At their running clinics, therapists conducted two running gait analyses and helped me get into shoes that would provide the support I needed. Some of the stretches I learned at these events, I still use every time I run.
I've tried other PT facilities since and been disappointed; I haven't found another that provided such comprehensive and holistic service, or where I felt that all of the staff--assistants, therapists, and clinic staff--were so dedicated to doing an excellent job.
As an aside, I also really appreciate the fact that they sell Therabands by the foot. I still use these in conditioning and drills, and the prices online are absurd. But I can purchase the amount I need from them at a $1 a foot, and that's kept me supplied since.
Overall, exceptional service and care. I would highly recommend them to anyone with soft-tissue injuries or strains, and especially to injured runners. Bodyworks staff won't guilt you about the sport you love; they'll just help you get back to it stronger and more confident.
