To date, I have had roughly 30 physical therapy sessions with the group at Athletico and have had nothing short of an incredible experience with them. The therapists and support staff are experienced, knowledgeable, thorough and patient driven. Simply, they care about the success of you or your loved one’s recovery and healing! I may only speak of personal experience and what I have witnessed but they seem to always set and drive toward goals and milestones for each injury and for each patient. The professionalism and expertise are of course the things you need from your therapist(s), but these guys bring more. In addition, you also get a positive, energetic yet casual environment to do your therapy which generally includes terrible dad jokes and pretty lousy singing to random songs spanning the last 7 decades. The lightheartedness helps me forget that I’ve undergone a major shoulder surgery and despite months of discomfort, immobility, stretching and strengthening, I’m still months away from getting back to normal (a time frame shortened by the work of these guys). The atmosphere makes the discomfort more bearable as you push through it toward your goals and onto a healthy and complete recovery. I sincerely enjoy this atmosphere and all the banter but there is also comfort knowing that my shoulder along with my short and long term recovery goals are the primary focus of the staff. There is never any question that my progress, my shoulder and future health and well-being are important to the entire staff and despite the relaxed vibe, they get serious when it is time to get serious. My surgeon and my shoulder are both very happy with the progress I have made and I look forward to plastering an enormous self portrait along side the countless other satisfied and healthy patients whose picture adorn the walls. All in all, I am very happy with the care that I have and continue to receive and would highly recommend Athletico in Plainfield to both family and friends if they were to ever need it.
