PSA: I had to pick at least one star to leave a comment. At the Screven County office...they called and asked if my mother-in-law come early since they had an cancellation. So, she gets there at 9:00, as requested, and she is still sitting there at 11:00. My husband was told the Dr. Pandya doesn't come in until 9:30 - 10:00 but just wanted her there for their paperwork. He apparently has no respect for his patients or they care-takers who have other commitments. When my husband decided to take his mother and leave and find another pain management doctor, they decided they would take care of her next. What as shame.

first it was hard to get appt. because they wanted to see MRI before I could even schedule appt. That took three months, even though I had a doctors referral. Then the doctor was nice at the first visit but then he ordered very expensive new MRI test. ...that I will be paying for a while to come! Found two mild herniations but said I was fine. On the third visit, the doctor could not help me any more. Just because I am young and over weight doesn't mean I am not in pain....I thought you were there to treat pain?

Optim has shown great care to me with my back for over a year now. I first went to Optim last year with L4 issues. I had surgery to decompress and release pressure on Sept.5. In Feb. I had issues again with L4. I had surgery on May 15 to have titanium disc put in. From beginning to now I have received great care from Dr. McCormick, PA Kian Morris, therapist, and staff. I give Optim a 5 star rating. Thank you for taking care of me.

Very rude and unhelpful. Receptionist was not nice and tried to make me leave because she did not know how to read a file. One employee for imaging described the physicians side as doing things illegally. They have very poor communication skills and rush through processes. Dr. Gaines was abrupt and short with me. He did not care to describe what was wrong before rushing me out of the appointment.

Madonna Henry has the most incredible bedside manner I’ve ever seen!!! She was wonderfully patient with our 12 year old son who was consumed with fear. With gentleness and genuine care, Madonna was able to bring peace and comfort to him so that she could remove his pins from his wrist. Very competent & courteous staff. On-line pre-registration actually worked & there was no delay in check-in before being called back to the examination room. After blood pressure & other vitals, I was taken directly to x-ray & was back in the examination room without delay. Dr. Aaron saw me within 5 minutes after x-ray & thoroughly discussed all of my treatment options & answered all of my questions without rushing me at all. In short, I cannot envision a less stressful visit to prepare myself for surgery that I have been dreading for some time. I left after my visit feeling confident that I will soon be able to return pain-free (relatively speaking!) to the enjoyment of activities which I'd had to give up! Dr. Aaron has previously treated me and 3 members of my immediate family with excellent results, and this recent experience is typical of all our contacts with him and his staff!

I broke my foot back in September and received treatment from Dr. Goldberg. First day, he says ok Quincy you have three broken metatarsal bones that are broken at the base. Then he says it could heal on it's own and we can do surgery to prevent future arthritis. I was not interested in the surgery so he was like ok wear this boot and come back in a month. I said ok doc so how long will I be out of work. He said at least 12 weeks. I came back 4 weeks later he took xrays said everything looks fine. Then he said ok I'll see you in 4 weeks. So I come back just like he says for him to tell me to start putting pressure on it now I'm thinking like dude really thinks he got all the sense. I'm like doc I been putting pressure on it I think I may need physical therapy. He's like oh no you are a strong young man you got this physical therapy is for older people. Then he says come back in 4 weeks then maybe we'll have to shoot it. I'm wondering to myself like shoot it what but okay... At this point my 12 weeks are up I'm very frustrated about going back to work. Now its been 13 weeks since my accident ... let me just say my employer switched insurance companies before I came back for another appointment...here I am at the doctor's thinking I'm about to get a shot but only to here him say ....OH YOU NEED PHYSICAL THERAPY....why in my mind I'm thinking he's just draining my insurance to keep me coming back...never did he say anything about the shot or what the shot was....never told me to exercise my foot...I just feel like Dr. Goldberg could be more concerned about your situation and not just about his pocket...

Called for an appointment and they said that the lady was gone for the day and would call... waited 5 days with no phone call and decided to call again, and they said once again that they would call us. A few more days later and they still did not call, so we went up there. They told us that the doctor was reviewing my records (that they don't have since this was not a referral) and that they would call when he was done. It has been 3 weeks and nobody has called us. Let's just say.. I went to another orthopedic that got me an appointment the first time I called.

I came to Optim with a awful rotator cuff and bicep problem. They were great from start to finish. Dr. Arron did a great job with the surgery. There can be no doubt that the physical therapy afterwords is/was quite painful but they helped me get over it. I'd like to say a little something about Madona Henry, Dr. Arron's assistant. (PA-C) She was great at my transition from surgery to getting back on my feet. She was as attentive as she was intuitive about my aftercare. She was technically proficient and had a great bedside manner. She is a terrific part of the practice. I hope I don't have to go back but if i do, I will request Dr. Arron and Madonna Henry.

Also, he took the time to make sure he answered our questions. When I had a drug reaction...Dr. Hodges called me personally. And, he spoke with my PCP, to assure I would have prompt follow-up. From the first painful step into Optim, to my last pain free step when he released me, I felt well cared for.

Not so much. Scheduling went well but that same person was rude to me when I was there. She had a huffy attitude, spoke to me in a condescending tone and slammed the slide window open and closed. They ran an hour behind schedule. I was on time, even took an entire day off to be there. Then they took the person who came in after me, before me. I almost rescheduled with egrmc and even called my doctor's office because of the negative vibe, attitude and behaviour I experienced. I will probably need to see an orthopedic but now I don't want to go to Optim.

First of all, this is the Statesboro, GA facility and unless you are someone who does not have emotions RUN!! Secondly, the one star is only because you are forced to choose before you can be heard...guess they have to have something other than a ZERO star, however, based on the other reviews and my own, that's exactly what they should receive. Next, I'm not sure of the quality of care from the Doctors because I will be going somewhere else based on the LACK of personal service from PUBLIC SERVICE employees. I could not be more disappointed and astonished at so many people waiting to be served by these "professionals" and that injured patients had to tolerate the front desk and APPOINTMENT SCHEDULERS that work here. How shameful to treat people that are in need of PAIN MANAGEMENT!!!! Surely their insurance will not pay to see someone else. Note to staff: YOU are there to HELP people. That is YOUR JOB. Just because you apparently HATE this job which is evident from your rude attitudes and treatment of people that are already in PAIN, you should find something more suitable for your personality...like a deep sea explorer where you can't be heard and won't abuse the sea life that will eat you if you offend them. Shame on you and shame on the DOCTORS WHO CHARGE YOU HUNDREDS/THOUSANDS of dollars for allowing this OFFENSIVE SERVICE!!!!

P.A. Madonna Henry went above and beyond when my son was injured at a football game. She was not even working, but just there to watch. My son dislocated his elbow and she was able to put it back in. She called the necessary physicians and communicated with me about what we needed to do next. She did not know me at all!! She text to ask about results later that night and text the next day to check on him. I would highly recommend her to anyone along with Dr. Aaron. You don’t find many physicians anymore that do this!

I'm very disappointed with the service at Optim. I've never seen the doctor even though I was told I would see him for my MRI results that took one month and 2 days after my MRI. My appointment was at 3:15 PM and I'm still sitting here at 4:15 pm. Why do they always want you to get here early when you have to wait so long to see anyone. I'm pretty much done with Optim and would not recommend.

Doctor was great, reception was rude though. They are way too over booked too, showed up 15 mins late for an appt because of a miscomunication and they tried to reschedule. After it took 2 weeks to get a call back, another week to get an appt, and then 2 weeks until I was scheduled for an mri. Not right for a doctors office. -A Pre-Med student

Every time I have been to this facility the Dr's have said no to each and every option that I have been given for my back. I am in constant debilitating back pain 24/7. I thought Dr's were supposed to care about their patients but not here, you have to wait forever and then the Dr spends 5 to 10 minutes with you when you get back to the room. I HOPE I NEVER have to go here again. I have seen 3 Dr's here, they didn't help and I'm pretty sure none of the rest of them would help either. I just wish those 3 Dr's could live just one day of my life with the pain and having someone take care of you because you can't do it yourself.

The doctors are great but this is the second time that the front office and receptionists have messed up. For a place that deals with broken bones, they should have more sense of urgency in getting patients in. I had to walk on a broken foot for 6 days because they "didn't want to do walk in hours" last year. I went in for an arm appointment and was told my appointment had been cancelled. I never received a call and could prove it and they are now making me wait four MORE days to get my arm checked. Front desk has been rude and its extremely difficult to make an appointment or even reach anyone other than the robot on the phone.

This saves you money and you don't have to deal with EGRMC for their overpriced services. EGRMC is a got got it hospital and they stick it to anyone who had insurance. Use Optimistic in Savannah or Reidsville gor your surgetied, you will save thosands.

I began to have minor hip problems in my left hip when I was as in my late thirties. I played basketball, rode my bicycle and ran until I was in my mid forties when my hip pain began to bother me too much to play sports anymore. At 49 I saw my doctor about the problem and was told I had major deterioration in my left hip and some in my right hip. I was advised that I could have hip surgery then, or I could try exercising and stretching to help ward off the arthritis that had developed in my hips. The left hip was bad and the right saw developing arthritis too. Afraid of surgery, I chose to exercise instead. Exercising helped a lot but at 52 my hip problems began to slowly worsen. Yet, I continued to exercise and fight it until at 59 and a half I could not bare the sever pain any longer. I hadn’t slept all night in almost ten years and it was a struggle for me to stand up from sitting and to walk more than twenty yards. I couldn’t even bend over to put on my socks anymore. I finally went back to my doctor and said I was ready for some relief no matter what it took and was referred to Dr. Tankersley at Optim Health. Although I was extremely nervous about what was I was about to go through and having not been in a hospital since I was born, Dr. Tankersley was very understanding, thorough and comforting in how he approached the matter. He even offered a free seminar that walked me through the process and how to prepare myself for it. By the time I had my surgery, I felt like I could almost do it myself because he did such a great job in helping me thoroughly understand the process and what I needed to do for a fast recovery. I went into surgery on a Friday morning at around 10:00 am to have a bilateral hip replacement. Shortly after 1:00 pm I was awakened and told they were finished and it all went well. Now, it was my time to do my part by beginning my physical therapy. PT is not easy and requires some self motivation. Before the surgery, Dr. Tankersley said my recovery time would be six to eight weeks. I told him I was actually considering three to four weeks maximum. He looked at me, smiled and said it’s not impossible, but that was very ambitious. Well, just as Dr. Tankersley did what he said he would do, so did I. I used a walker for one week, two walking canes the second week, one walking cane the third week and returned to work with out any walking apparatus in three weeks and three days. As Dr. Tankersley previously told me, exercising was truly the key. Physically, I feel like I am in my late thirties again and I am currently sixty years old. Thank you Dr. Tankersley and to your amazing team at Optim Healthcare.
