I was involved in an auto accident that has now spanned three years. For the first year I fought Migraines, a concussion, and balance issues to where I could not stand it any longer. After a couple of MRI's I went to a medical professional who, with extensive testing, diagnosed vertigo and other balance issues recommending that I seek PT for my ailments. The closest and most convenient place to my house was CORA. So I started PT there and they had me pushing balls up the wall and rearranging pegs on a board and playing with large rubber resistance bands, but after 4 sessions I asked them when we were going to address my balance issues. They said, " We don't see any balance issues". (they had me stand on one leg when I came in originally). I told them I am here for vertigo and balance PT, as per my Dr's orders. They never addressed them and so I have found a new facility. Two months later I get a bill for $1229 saying the auto insurance company has denied the claim. They said that I needed to straighten it out with the auto insurance company. I asked them to do a conference call with the Auto Insurance company so that we could resolve the issue since this is what my Dr. recommended. They refused. I called back and they refused again an hung up on me.
Their therapists were nice, but for them to diagnose me when they aren't Dr's was an overstep. And, to top it off with a $1229 billing issue, I would think twice before you take a loved one there. You may end up sorting out billing issues, or with them re-diagnosing you, with loads of phone calls to make to straighten it all out.
