I cannot say enough about Handling Physical Therapy, I was still in pretty bad shape even after months of chiropractic therapy, I started with Tom and his staff and after only a few weeks I started to feel relief. He was able to get me back to living a normal life. I have been back to them several times before and after surgeries, I will not go any where else for PT. They are professionals with caring for you as an individual and your physical needs. I would recommend them to anyone who needs physical therapy. Handling Physical Therapy is the reason I can go about my life today.

I did 5 weeks of therapy at one of the well known “chain” locations with poor results recovering from a left knee replacement. After visiting my orthopedic physician and receiving a script for additional therapy l found Handling PT and am l glad! Tom’s practice is a single location with very personal attention and a family atmosphere. I highly recommend Handling PT. If l could l would give six stars.

Handling Physical Therapy is NOT a large PT mill. Tom, the owner, I consider to be a friend as well as an excellent therapist. He pays very close attention to everyone being treated at all times and ensures that no one is doing anything contrary to their optimum treatment. The facility is neatly arranged for maximum efficiency with plenty of room for patients to engage in whatever exercise/activity directed by the staff. Personally, I did not use but a fraction of the available equipment; however, the items I was directed to use worked correctly and effectively. I cannot say enough about the relief that I received at this facility. Frankly I had little hope of ever being pain free again in my life, but here I am..., living a comfortable and pleasant life. Tom did not do it all, but Handling Physical Therapy certainly played a MAJOR part in my miraculous recovery!

Handling PT is the BEST!!! They aren't a large PT Mill . I've been a lineman in Delaware for the past 20 years. I got injured on the job and needed substantial surgery on my leg. My doctor said I may not be able to continue doing the work that I love. After surgery i went to Handling PT. Tom , Meg and crew got me back in shape and I am back doing what I love. They made me feel comfortable and really cared about my progress. Also after I was done PT and went back to work, Tom would call and check to see how I was doing. I won't go any where else. Not only a great place for PT but i also gained a family!!!!!..THANK YOU!!!!

I have been to Handling PT twice. Once for my knee and once for my back. Tom and his staff are very knowledgeable and take the time to explain what is happening. Tom truly cares about his patients and wants them to succeed and feel better as soon as possible without making us feel rushed. I am very impressed with how personable Tom is with all of his clients. He remembers your children's names and asks how they are doing. He even takes the time to ask about trips and events that have happened in our lives. Where do I even begin? My experience with Handling Physical Therapy was more than I could have ever asked for. I went there with an abundance of injuries. I had been in an auto accident and not soon after, I was also hurt at work. So I had several injuries to work through for a long period of time. Tom, Caitlyn, and Meg were all so helpful, and understanding of my work schedule at the Firehouse, worked with me and helped me more than I could have ever asked for. Even after my surgeries, of which I had 3, Tom would call and check on me, get up with my Dr. personally and figure things out, so I could get back to work and feel better. But I think the best thing about Handling Physical Therapy is that these guys are truly my friends now. I really care about them. I wasn't just a client or patient. We all got to know each other. They are the best and I recommend it to everyone!! They take the time to get you better, because they take the time to get to know you. And I am more than grateful.

I loved coming to the office 3 times a week to catch up with my new friends while getting the best care ever! I have healed nicely and still do my exercises you taught me to keep my ankle strong. What can I say , this place really helped me out a lot and was there with me through the end . Handling physical therapy helped me with a sports injury of a torn pcl and multiple sprains in my left knee , to be honest I thought I would never get back to my athletic nature in competitive Brazilian jujitsu again . Tom handling the owner told me I will be up and walking after 6 months of healing and hard work to get that knee right . Atfter months from my injury in August I came back to work in December ready to work and soon I will be back training again for tournaments , I would like to say I’m greatful for the help I received from Tom , meg and katlyn. I want to thank you for getting me on track .

Want to recover quickly with a staff that become likes family then Tom is your guy. This was my second round of therapy with the team at Handling Physical Therapy and I couldn't be happier with my recovery. Note: 2 separate injuries one for each knee :-) I was back hiking, spinning, running around with my daughter and doing all my daily tasks without pain in no time. I looked forward to every appointment and the gentle pushing me beyond what I thought were my limits to get me back to a healthy state. They truly care about each individual patient and I recommend them to anyone in need of physical therapy. I cant say enough about them. GO!

I tore my pec lifting a week before vacation, working in the medical field I knew what this intailed. Seen Toms brother Matt and he said go on vacation and when u get back we can do the the surgery. So I went to Jamaica with a torn pec couldn’t move my arm an inch away from my body. From the time of the injury I was devastated cause exercising and be as active as I was I thought I would never be the same. Have the surgery and Matt recommended me to see Tom for my therapy. So my journey to recovery began. Mind u I fell in a slight depression in this whole process, but from day one with Tom he told me that he could get me back . Little by little we started making progress and I write this four years later doing everything I use to do. Tom.... I truly can’t thank You enough you are an amazing therapist and person. Doctor Handling released me right before the new year, as for me I hated to go, I looked forward to my treatment three times a week because after treatment I would feel so much better. Now that I have finished with my treatments I have no more pain in my neck, arms and shoulders. Please if you need help with any pain in your body and your doctor recommends you for therapy, tell your doctor you want to see Handling Physical Therapy. You won't regret going to them. They will take very go care of you and to have no more pain is a Great Feeling!!!!

Can I give him 6 stars?? Tom is the best, flexible scheduling, knowledgeable, honest and makes PT sessions fly by. Highly recommended. He rehabbed me for two separate injuries/surgery and made a full recovery thanks to his expertise. Sessions are conducted personally by Tom and he keeps detailed notes to ensure progression is made every visit. Would not go anywhere else for PT and even traveled quite a distance after moving away from his facility because I knew his dedication is unmatched. Tom is simply the best.

I've had been to the larger therapy facilities and decided to give Handling PT a try after my total left knee replacement. So glad I did. Tom Handling and Caitlyn McCarthy work in tandem and are completely hands-on and know everything about their patients/clients. The constant encouragement and reassurance was so important to me because when I thought I wasn't doing as well as I thought I should be they put it into perspective for me. They see everything and don't hesitate to call you out when you think you're going to do 30 instead of 50 squats you're supposed to do. Appreciate them keeping me honest. I highly recommend Handling Physical Therapy! This was the most personable and friendly experience I have ever had doing physical therapy! Tom, Caitlin and Meghan are the best! They never made me feel rushed, or made me feel any less important than any of the other patients! They worked around my busy life schedule and me being ill to ensure I still fit it my necessary amount of days each week!
