After dealing with trigger points/fibromyalgia for several years, my sister recommended I see Leslie at Spectrum Physical Therapy in Stonington. After several months of a combination of dry needling and physical therapy, my trigger points are no longer causing any pain. It was definitly worth the trip from Bristol RI to get treament from Leslie and her excellent staff and receptionist.

I came to Spectrum last year after breaking both of my wrists. I was a bit nervous of what PT would entail, but Brian was very encouraging and walked me through the process, pushing me where I needed it and gently helping me until I was ready for more. His humor didn’t hurt either. His expertise on just what to do for both of my wrists was evident. My orthopedic Dr. was very impressed at my quick progress as one of my wrists in particular was very badly fractured. If I came with concerns to my sessions, i would always leave feeling very encouraged. I would recommend this place to anyone. All of the staff was great. Thank you for all your help.

I contacted Spectrum Physical Therapy as sort of a “last resort.” Several people mentioned that “Dry Needling” would alleviate the tightness and pain caused by a hamstring strain that happened about 5 months ago. I was very skeptical. Leslie, my physical therapist, explained the procedure in detail. The whole process took 30 minutes. When she was finished, the pain in my hamstring was virtually gone! Two days have passed since the procedure and I’m still relatively pain-free (there’s a little soreness in the area in which the needles were placed). I’m back at my regular yoga/barre routine. I feel great!
