I came to Newtown Select PT out of sheer desperation. Both of my shoulders have rotator cuff tears and my Doc suggested PT. I went local and after 2 visits realized I was misguided. I called local PT offices and it must have been my lucky day that Bob of Select Newtown answered the phone. After a short conversation I asked for a consult. The next day after meeting Bob I knew I made the right choice. I checked his credentials and was impressed. The office is new and fully equipped. Bob is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects if PT. He's energetic and was sensitive to my condition and discussed a regimen of treatment to begin my rehabilitation. After only 6 visits I am able to perform tasks I was unable to do. My shoulder pain & discomfort has lessened and I'm getting stronger. I'm not a spring chicken but my outlook with the help and encouragement of Bob is truly inspiring. Thanks, Bob.

Dr. Strittmatter treats patients professionally and skillfully. Dr. Strittmatter invests time in understanding the cause of the patient's pain, then works to treat the source. He explains the procedures and expectations thoroughly. I recommend Dr. Strittmatter for PT, and in particular, dry needling.

From my very first interaction with Select PT, my phone call with Amy, I could tell that this is a facility that puts the client experience first. Warm, welcoming, professional, and always with a disarming sense of humor. Next, Bob. He’s the best medical professional I’ve ever encountered. I heard stories of people traveling over an hour to work with him, and by the end of my first session, I could tell why. He begins your session by actively listening to your entire history. He cares, and takes notes. He then asks questions that make no assumptions, but rather help him fill in the gaps as he shares the art and science of why the injury happened and how he can help rehab it. He makes the client feel safe, while making sure everyone in the facility feels cared for and attended to. He puts a premium on safety, cleanliness, and individualized care. Honestly, I couldn’t have wished for a better experience. No one wants to be at physical therapy, but if it’s deemed necessary, Select PT is the best place in which to get healthy.

Bob has been great working my total knee replacement. Without PT I would not have the movement I have now. Bob gives a hard workout (if you want) and you will be sore afterwards but he stops you from over doing it.

I have been to various Physical Therapy establishments due to a fall that resulted in knee damage, ensuing arthritis resulting in a surgery or two. I have been to good Physical Therapists and no so good. I believe the latter experience makes me a worthy resource for what works and what doesn't. Select Physical Therapy works. I get hands on attention from the Select Physical Therapists, Bob and Chelsea. There are no physical therapy aides that assist the patient at Select, just Chelsea and Bob. The patient gets the real deal. I find Bob and Chelsea to be extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and devoted to their patients. They find what works for the patient in order to assist in healing and gaining strength. I will not go anywhere else.

I had Bob Strittmatter as my Physical Therapist when he worked at the New Milford, Ct. Select Physical Therapy. I have been going to Newtown since he changed locations. I receive excellent treatments, therapy, and advice. Bob knows his patients and takes care to listen, observe, and evaluate each person he treats with great care.
