REVIEWS OF Mend Physical Therapy IN Colorado

Kristen's knowledge and understanding of body mechanics is phenomenal and allows her to unravel the mystery of the body in pain. When I go in for a visit, I have her undivided focus and attention. She believes in the body's ability to heal with proper support. I feel very lucky to have found her!

Dale Aychman

Highly recommend Mend Physical Therapy! I had a nagging low back pain that just wouldn't go away. I backed off on my workouts, thinking rest would help, but it didn't make any difference, in fact, the discomfort worsened. I came in for an evaluation, and Jeff identified the cause of my pain in just a couple of minutes, which had nothing to do with my back! Jeff created a 30 minute rehab routine for me to retrain the communication pathway from my spine to my glute/hamstring and strengthen my glute. In the first month, my back pain disappeared, as I became aware of the compensation pattern. My range of motion has improved substantially, but what I notice the most is waking up with energy in the moring, instead of feeling like an old man, barely able to stand up!

Melissa Mazzo

Kristin was super helpful in solving the mystery of what my injury was, and figuring out the best way to treat it and prevent it from happening in the future. She used a mix of different techniques (dry needling, joint manipulation, massage, strengthening to re-pattern movement, etc.) to attack the problem at it's source rather than just treating the symptoms. Will definitely be headed back to her with any injuries in the future, or just to keep any nagging potential problems at bay!

Jon Olson

I would recommend Jeff to any athlete who is looking to recover from an injury or surgery, back to 100% or better. Jeff takes the time to understand what is going on with your body, and he clearly has an extensive background in the field. I have gone to many PTs before and Jeff was the first one who actually cared about getting me back to the sports that I love. He rocks!

Rachael McAllister

There will never be enough words to describe how thankful I am to have Jeff and Kristin helping me with my rehab. After a crazy first surgery after breaking my knee cap and then having my knee getting locked and using a different PT team that went as bad as you could imagine, I had surgery again and sought Jeff and Kristin out to help me. They are everything you want as individuals and a dynamic force as a team. So knowledgeable, compassionate, understanding, funny and present. They work with you one on one and give you valuable tools to take home so you feel confident on your own. I can't thank you both enough and would recommend them without question.

After a couple of sub-par marathon training cycles due to nagging lower leg injuries, I decided to start seeing Kristin at Mend. Overall, I was very impressed with her ability to expose muscle imbalances (weaknesses) in my legs that were causing my lower leg injuries. The exercises and stretches that Kristin recommended have helped me get back to training at a level that is highly satisfying. I am appreciative of her methodical approach and would not hesitate to recommend Mend to others. I look forward to working with Kristin in the future to continue to get stronger and prevent running related injuries.

I've been to Mend more than twice to seek treatment for injuries & past chronic pain that affected climbing & running. Mend was highly recommended to me by a friend, and the results have lived up to the high expectations. I had issues with my shoulder & neck due to overuse and bad posture that affected climbing & sitting at desk. With a methodical approach they determined the cause and structured exercises to heal shoulder and neck in a few weeks and I got back to climbing in no time. They also provided me with shoulder maintenance exercises tailored to me to prevent shoulder injuries in future. Also, I'm new to trail running and I had difficulty running uphill due to calf pain and ankle flexibility. They helped me fix it and also helped in improving running form. I highly recommend Mend to outdoor athletes suffering from injuries or chronic pain.

Vincent D'Antonio

VP is a quality PT who took good care of my knee and got me back riding on my snowboard. The whole experience exceeded my expectations and I will definitely return for any future injuries

I consider myself lucky to have fallen into the hands of Jeff Ryg and Kristin Carpenter of Mend Physical Therapy. A fall off my bicycle left me with a fractured radial head and soft tissue damage. I was only able to straighten my arm to 20 degrees shy of full extension. After 4 weeks of therapy I regained full extension of my arm, and just six weeks after my accident, I was back on the saddle again. Jeff and Kristin distinguished themselves from other physical therapists that I have been to through their extensive knowledge of the literature, the effectiveness of their manual manipulation, and the length of their appointments. I highly recommend Jeff and Kristin for their expertise and professionalism as physical therapists.

Jeff Ryg at Mend is excellent. He is extremely knowledgable about my injury and his treatment plan is thorough and precise. He developed a very thoughtful and specific program that has helped me fully recover. He is the best!

It is hard to find a practitioner with this much knowledge and experience. I have had multiple surgeries and procedures done for a chronic injury, and Kristen has been very diligent in getting me back to running after every set back. Kristen bases her work on evidence and is willing to try alternate approaches after discussing with the client. Highly recommend.

As a physical therapist myself, I was very concerned when I started feeling a deep, almost visceral pain in my knee last summer. I had experienced knee pain before, but this was different. Even walking was painful. Over the course of my career I heard hundreds of patients describing a similar type of pain, which often ended up with joint replacement surgery. Although my specialty is not orthopedics, I thought that I could "self treat", and spent two months working on it with minimal relief. Because of the nature and severity of the pain I was skeptical that conservative treatment would be effective. I was ready to schedule an appointment with a surgeon for an evaluation and X-rays when I decided to go see Kristen first to determine if there were any other possible effective treatments. I had seen her in the past for acute injuries with excellent results so I thought it was worth a try. I'm thrilled that after a thorough evaluation and just two treatments utilizing a combination of therapeutic exercise. skilled manual therapy, and dry needling, my knee pain is gone, 100%, and I am able to resume my active lifestyle. I am incredibly impressed with Kristen's knowledge of evidence based practice and skills which enable such amazing results with so few visits. Thanks Kristen!

I developed some worrisome muscle pain in the left side of my neck, in part because I have to use a CPAP device for sleep apnea and sleep on my side. Jeff Ryg worked very carefully, very gently, very methodically to open up the cervical area to allow the muscles to relax. He also recommended exercises to strengthen the back and my posture as a preventive measure. I was impressed and very grateful to have the problem effectively removed after only a few visits. Now several months later, my left shoulder is feeling some pain, so I've returned to MEND. It appears to be, once again, a posture-related issue, and we've begun to work on it. One final, important point: Jeff and MEND take Medicare!

Ben Kamark

Kristin and Jeff are very well educated and effective practitioners - their approach to diagnosing underlying issues and relieving acute symptoms is phenomenal. I've been seeing Kristin for physical therapy for the last 10 years or so (in short bursts - thanks to her), and Jeff helped me out while Kristin was on maternity leave. In most cases, I've only needed two or three sessions of treatments (sometimes only one) and a couple weeks following their prescribed exercises to have significant results or total recovery. The targeted goal I've felt at Mend is to get you over the hump and help you manage and prevent recurrence of injury while continuing your activities. When I have had a plateau in recovery, they've done additional evaluation and tweaked their approach, or my understanding of it. I've been amazed with the results from a simple change in angle during an exercise or an additional stretch they've prescribed.

Andrea Steffes-Tuttle

I went to two physical therapists before seeing Jeff at Mend and I experienced no improvement with my back issues. Once I started seeing Jeff everything changed. He's an excellent listener (which I didn't find with the other PTs I visited) and he worked hard to develop a recovery approach that worked for the type of running and CrossFit activities I was working to return to. Many, many thanks, Jeff!

Teen Nicolaysen

I had a wonderful experience at Mend. I started having severe knee pain while running and nothing I did was able to fix it. Jeff quickly diagnosed my issue and started me on a path to recovery. The combined services of gait analysis, physical therapy and dry needling gave me the exact result I was looking for, being able to run again without pain. I can't recommend Mend highly enough.

Nica N

Both Jeff and Kristin are phenomenal physical therapists! Over my lifetime, I've seen a variety of professionals for back pain, and so far the approach used by Jeff and Kristin has been far and away the most helpful for me, both in terms of long-lasting results and in terms of helping me understand what my body is doing and how I can help it feel better. I always leave feeling immediately better, and with a thoughtful list of exercises and stretches to do to keep moving forward.

Ted Martens

Following my first major back injury, I first tried resting and a local chiropractor, but symptoms remained debilitating until my first session with VP at Mend. He really took the time to listen, explore the problem, and work out the solutions that I was in need of. After 1 session, my back was notably better, and the exercises he gave me allowed me to continue to address the problem on my own. One additional session and a few more exercises and i was soon back to normal. VP was very professional, compassionate, and extremely knowledgable, and understood exactly what i needed to get back on my feet. The patient-centered focus of the therapists at Mend shines through in their space, their approach, and the time they take during each session to really understand and diagnose the issue at hand. Highly recommend Mend to anyone seeking PT treatment!

Courtney Brendel

I'm so glad I found Mend PT. I've been seeing VP for a couple issues and I am so impressed with the level of care that I have received. From the first visit he really listen to what was going on with me and has created exercises that focus around activities I would like to get back to doing. I'm not back to 100% yet, but I've been able to start running and rock climb again!!!!!

Amy Carpenter

Jeff at Mend Physical Therapy helped both me and my 12 year old son. After a thorough assessment he identified what was causing my physical challenge/aches, did body work on it, and gave me clear and easy to follow exercises. I brought my son in for an overall athletic assessment too - to help prevent sport injuries on his growing body. He provided easy to follow exercises to help compliment my son's sports activities. I highly recommend Jeff for adults and kids! And - love the online scheduling!

I work at Neptune Mountaineering and discovered Mend through our owners and fellow coworkers who recommended them. We're basically a breeding ground for injuries here, as you can imagine, so I came in with high expectations with so many referrals. Having been to several other therapists around town for other injuries, it is safe to say that Mend is among the best I have seen. Coming off a terrible ankle sprain, the folks (Jeff) at Mend suggested advanced and diligent therapy over further imaging and surgery, which some practitioners I had seen prior were leaning towards. Three months out, and I look to be making a full recovery, quicker, and with more dollars in the bank. Invest in therapy, and trust in Mend.

At the beginning of the season I was only able to snowboard 2 or 3 runs before my knee pain would get so bad I would have to stop riding for the day. Now, only a few months later, I am able to ride multiple days in a row, for full days, and don't have any pain! The best part, is that Jeff has taught me to care for my self. I started by going there every week, then every other week, and now I am at every 5 weeks. Mend is the place to go for the best PT in Boulder!

Thad Rathe

Worked with Kristin on an ankle injury and a a fantastic experience. She asked tons of questions to assess exactly what was going on and gave me a program that got me up and running in no time.

Camberley Bates

Thanks to Kristen, I can finally see success in the future, and being able to move forward with running without pain.

Holly Pearen

I can't recommend Kristin highly enough. She put together all the pieces to help diagnose and treat me post-partum, and has that rare and wonderful combination of friendly warmth and clinical expertise. Kristin treated me like a whole person and athlete, not just a woman who had a birth injury. She was able to figure out the root cause of my pelvic pain (separated pelvis, and broken pubic bone) and begin alleviating my symptoms from the first visit. She developed a treatment plan that combined modalities like dry needling, banded movements, and pelvic floor exercises. This was great because I didn’t have to see a bunch of separate specialists to treat pelvic floor, muscle weaknesses and tightness, etc. with a new baby in tow and because she could evaluate how everything was working together and changing over time. She explained everything she asked me to do, and described how it would contribute to overall healing. I really appreciated that she set reasonable expectations for recovery milestones, and was able to help me test my limits in a structured, safe way when all I wanted to do was go for a run. This is a minor thing, but so appreciated during those first few weeks with a newborn: her invoices were all perfectly done, prompt and accepted by insurance right away.

I worked with three other PT's from different Boulder companies before trying Mend and the others do not compare to the expertise that this team has to offer. I worked with Dr. Michael "VP" Van Portfliet after receiving ACL reconstruction surgery. Dr. VP was encouraging, diligent, and knowledgable about my injury and he helped me get back on track to recovery. As an avid skier and runner, it was important to me to find an athletically minded PT with the latest knowledge about biomechanics. Dr. VP provided individualized PT sessions where he paid careful attention to my body mechanics, helped me understand my injury, and created a personalized recovery/strength program. My knee felt great after the sessions but I also felt really motivated and positive. The amount of time and money I spent at Mend was far less than visiting with previous physical therapists which ultimately saved my wallet and accelerated my recovery. I can now ski and run which is something I couldn't even imagine doing a month ago. Mend is for those who are devoted to their health and are looking for attentive, professional and knowledgable physical therapists to address their injury.

I am a physical therapist and have worked with Kristin Carpenter for several visits now. I have seen several other PTs prior to Kristin and have also self-treated with limited success. Kristin's treatments have been amazing and have given me hope! I've seen great progress and can't recommend her enough. Kristin is truly an expert and a great person!

Shira Souvi

Jeff is always on time, professional, and very knowledgeable. He helped my son with a shoulder injury and helped me recover from a stress fracture in my foot. He is patient and thorough and, after working with us on MEND's equipment, provided us with exercises to do at home. He is always available for questions and has a flexible schedule.

Great place, great people

I finally found a treatment that works for my headaches at Mend. I've had debilitating headaches with jaw and neck pain for over a decade that were misdiagnosed as migraine headache. In just a few sessions Kristin's expert and thoughtful approach has reduced the frequency and intensity of my headaches by over half.

Marc Plinke

I went to several PT places for back, knee and foot issues over the years. The manual therapy that both Jeff and Kristin use got me back on my feet again quickly. Standard therapy where the therapist just tells me what exercises I need to perform would not have been nearly as helpful. Here I get the hands on treatment during my sessions and take the workout with me to my home. I can highly recommend Mend.

VP at Mend Physical Therapy helped to save my race! After training for the Boulder Half Ironman all summer, I came down with IT band pain while running about three weeks before the event. A week after the initial injury, I couldn't even 20 minutes without ending up in terrible pain. I was recommended Mend, and was able to be seen the day that I called (2 weeks prior to the race). VP gave me targeted and time-effective exercises, dry needling of the affected area for symptom relief (which helped a LOT) and detailed explanations of what to expect during and how to manage symptoms during the race. With that combination of rest, strengthening and dry needling, I ran the Half Ironman strong despite not being able to run for three weeks prior, and I had a total blast! No knee pain for the first 7 miles of the run (a miracle), and only minor and manageable irritation during the later stages of the race, which I was fully expecting and prepared for thanks to VP. I cannot recommend him and this practice highly enough! Worth every penny to stay healthy and happy!

Carol

Michael "VP' Van Portfliet is wonderful, kind and caring. Corrected my balance issues in just a few visits.

Betsy Hand

I wholeheartedly recommend Jeff! Before my work with Jeff, it hurt simply to walk. Now I walk totally pain-free!

Lynne Coblammers

Excellent and attentive care. Definitely the best experience I've had with physical therapy.

Alex Wolf-Root

With the incredibly active community we have here in Boulder, it should be no shock that we have such an impressive array of resources to keep us healthy and active. And I'm incredibly thankful that we have Mend. Kristin has been an invaluable asset to my career as a distance runner, and has helped me overcome both severe injuries (stress fracture, labral tear) and more run-of-the-mill insufficiencies (asymmetric weaknesses, stability problems). Kristin has done a phenomenal job diagnosing what's going wrong, and given me the tools I need to get myself back out on the track and trails!

Conscientious, Customer-Centric Care...ALWAYS. MEND is the place to go if you are not only looking for someone to listen well to your case, but be a caring advocate for you along the way. My time with VP was continually spent as an encouraging environment of seeing where I am, and not where I "could be". MEND doesn't compare patient to patient, and doesn't rush the process. Although I love their philosophy to ultimately not make themselves needed, it is a bittersweet process when you make lasting supportive relationships with everyone in the office. I needed a home where I could share my story, be understood, given the support for the specifics of my autoimmune illness, and to be worked with at my own pace. Each was achieved with extraordinary professionalism, attention to detail and time. I am so grateful and could not recommend them more for rehab!

Steven Friedman

Stunning relief from three year old back injury and pain. So grateful for Jeff and his expertise and treatment. Best PT experience ever!

Helene Van den Berg

I would absolutely suggest Jeff. I came in with serious back pain and was able to not only address that problem but also understand why I had knee pain as well. After seeing Jeff for 2 months I am now fully mobile and back in the gym. If you need a PT, Jeff is the way to go!

Albert Hand

The very best! I was hobbled after knee replacement surgery. No longer. I broke my arm 10 years ago and my shoulder was limited and painful until Jeff got to work on it. My wife limped and was in pain and tried everything from medical doctors to woo woo stuff, all to no avail. Jeff cured her. He's magic. Ten stars wouldn't be too many.

Joyce Chase

I’m amazed by the progress I’ve made after working with Kristin, at Mend, for about a month. I’ve had bad knees due to a ski accident, since 1984 and honestly had resigned myself to either living with the pain or taking daily meds. Kristin has been nothing short of a miracle worker. Even after my first visit I felt improvement. Now, there are many times when I forget I have bad knees. My quality of life is greatly improved. Thanks Kristin!!

Clem Meas

Jeff was recommended to me from a friend who had (as I) many reasonable experiences with PT businesses that were attached to medical practices. I was assured that Jeff listened and would tailor an exercise regiment unique to my body’s issue. Indeed, all true. Jeff is he best!!

Shaun Oshman

For the past 15 years, I have had intermittent issues with my neck. This morning, I went to see Jeff at Mend. In less than a half hour, he was able to not only diagnose the root of the issue, he was able to do effective short term correction and give me activities to ensure the problem does not persist. Bare in mind that I have gone to dozens of practitioners over these past 15 years to work through this mildly annoying issue. Many have tried to sell me on thousands of dollars of long term corrective treatment. Not one of these practitioners was able to get to the root of the issue as fast or effectively as Jeff was. Suffice to say, I'm impressed. He integrates the techniques of chiropractors and other functional medicine folks into his practice. In summary, he's very good. The place has a clean and welcoming layout. His bedside manner is compassionate while being thorough. Worth a visit.

Frances Steen

I've been seeing Jeff at Mend to help me get back into running without shin splits. I've been happy with my progress so far and would recommend Mend to others.

To put into words the gratitude I have for Kristin is not easy. A few years ago, after visiting three other PTs in Boulder, she was the first and thus only one to actually figure out what was my making my knee hurt when I ran. She showed me how to get stronger and return to running without having to take weeks or months off, which I really appreciated. Kristin provides care with compassion, understanding, and most of all a knowledge base which allows you to fully trust her. I have recently found myself back in her care for an ongoing foot/ankle problem, and after just 1 PT session and 1 week of exercises on my own, I already see improvement. My gratitude for her excellent work cannot be overstated. I highly recommend going to Mend for your PT needs. You can thank me later : )

Bryan Hughes

My first PT experience, and a VERY good one. Numbness and pain caused by a pinched nerve following a neck injury, and symptoms are completely gone. Jeff was fully professional, explained the "why" of each therapy (important to me), and communication/scheduling was excellent.

Cynthia Beard

I had a great experience with Mend. VP was enormously helpful in helping me regain strength and mobility caused by a health-related injury. After just a few sessions, I’m feeling more like myself again, and I am equipped with some exercises and musculoskeletal awareness both for now and also to help prevent similar injuries in the future.

Michelle Crippen

Went in needing to rehab my torn ACL from my surgery, and Jeff worked with me to get me back to 100%. Jeff did a phenomenal job pushing me to where I needed to be with detailed instructions of what I needed to be doing myself to keep on the right path. I would recommend Mend Therapy for any and all of your therapy needs!

Q. Tran

Jeff has helped me become more balanced and helped get me back on the bike without pain! Very knowledgeable and great at what they do!

Laurel Page

Best physical therapy I have ever been through. Started at the beginning of June with sever knee pain and only a month later I am almost 100%, never have recovered this fast and it is all because of Kristin's treatment!

Anica Wong

After seeing three doctors and other physical therapists, I was referred to Jeff because of his running focus. I can't say enough good things about his methodologies, how he explains exactly what he's doing and why, and his friendly approach. If you're a runner and looking to get stronger, Jeff's your PT.

Marshall Xenon

I had just moved to Boulder and had been suffering from sciatica for nearly three months when my new doc suggested I see Jeff Ryg. I began feeling relief immediately and am now almost fully recovered. Jeff explained what he was doing and why, and things progressed exactly as he said they would. I am about to start with a personal trainer to help keep this problem from coming back, and Jeff has already worked with the trainer to help set up an exercise program for me. I wholeheartedly recommend Jeff, and only wish I had known about him earlier.

jeremiah doehne

after moving to boulder and coming off a 9mo climbing hip/back injury, i went to the Mend crew to finish my PT. nothing but solid things to say about Michael “VP”, the team and my full experience. great work!

Kirsten Keating

Kristin helped me when I thought no one else could. After trying traditional doctors and medications, I sought out Kristin for treatment of headaches that had been ongoing for nearly two years. Thanks to Kristin I went from daily headaches and medications to no more medications and an occasional headache that, with some stretches that she taught me, would help ease the pain. Kristin is the best and I would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone.

Josh Baker

I visited Mend on the recommendation of other local runners. While I was there, I was treated by VP. What separates Mend from other physical therapists is their specificity of knowledge. Mend receives a large number of local athletes and are able to swiftly diagnose and treat athletic related injuries. VP was willing to work with me and get me back to running in a minimal amount of time. VP listened in detail to my weekly or monthly updates as I progressed through my physical therapy program and guide program modifications. Between those visits, VP made himself available over email and text if anything urgent were to come up. It is this personalized program that I believe made my recovery swift and effective. Next time I feel and injury coming on, I will not hesitate to visit VP at Mend.

Thomas Drochner

I definitely recommend Kristin at Mend for any PT needs. I had suffered a calf injury several weeks before a race for which I had been training. After trying some rest and home remedy, I managed to re-aggravate the calf a week later. Kristin was there to help me out. She is professional and knowledgeable, and she took the time to really understand what was going on. She explained what my potential options were for treatment, and definitely treated me as a partner in my recovery. Because of the treatment and exercises I was prescribed, I was able to get back up and running and finish my race with no pain during or after! Thank you Kristin and Mend!

Jena Franz

Mend has been a vital piece in my back injury recovery. VP is an absolute all star in regard to his knowledge and over all practice. As a former athlete, he speaks my language. He is able to instill confidence in myself to get out of 'the pain cave'. As a personal trainer it is important for me to have a network of wellness professionals that I can refer my clients to when needed. I would trust VP to work with anyone who may be experiencing pain. He is clear and concise with his cues as well as explaining WHY we are doing what we are doing.

Hiro Johnston

I am a physical therapist at an acute rehab facility. Due to the nature of my work, I was suffering from chronic low back pain. My research for the best PT in thr area led to Mend. After having two sessions with Jeff, my back pain is gone and my back feels stronger. Jeff is highly skilled and efficient. He treated not only my low back pain but also my neck, upper back and ankle joints on my weaker side using manual therapy techniques. Home exercise program is simple enough to follow through and is effective. I'm very pleased with the entire experience and am happy to have found this clinic. Thank you, Jeff.

Andrew Kershaw

After 2 years of persistent knee pain limiting my running and peroneal tendonitis virtually stopping it, Kristin is finally fixing me. Having seen numerous other Physical Therapists with limited success, discovering the team at Mend in Boulder was a result! Kristin's ability to get to the underlying cause and then the combination of hands on treatment and strengthening exercises has dramatically improved the two running injuries and set me on a path to 100%. Most importantly for me, Kristin didn't stop me from running and working out, rather allowed me to heal while keeping training. I highly recommend Kristin and Mend Physical Therapy. Andy

Stephen Harmon

When I got injured, I asked around about who I should see and the consensus was Kristin. I'm so happy I listened to their recommendations and Kristin was a great PT! From the get-go she was invested in me as a patient by trying to not only fix my problem, but give exercises to make sure it didn't happen again. Now, if anyone asks me for a PT recommendation, I will send them straight to Kristin and Mend!

Leif Steiner

Mend is top notch. Like many people in Boulder, I lead an active lifestyle. And like anyone who is active — my body gets beat up on occasion. After a particularly persistent neck injury that would not go away... Kristin solved my problem within a few weeks. There are many PT's to choose from, but look no further — go to Mend. Excellence on all levels!

Charlie Nuttelman

A year and a half ago I developed a strange issue with my left knee cap that wouldn't get better, and I just chalked this up to getting older and joints wearing out. But last fall I visited Jeff Ryg at Mend (referred to him by my brother; Jeff healed his back problem within a few weeks). Jeff quickly found the problem and developed a PT protocol to strengthen various muscles and increase flexibility. I worked with Jeff for several months then I was able to do the exercises on my own. It took a while - long-lasting results don't come overnight - but the knee pain is now gone! In addition, the exercises that he prescribed have made my knees/ankles a lot stronger. At the time, I was debating going to an orthopedic specialist or similar and quite sure they would have prescribed costly imaging and/or cortisone injections, etc. But in the end, it's really just about getting the muscles and joints strong - the body and joints perform great when the muscles are balanced and strong. Thanks Jeff and the Mend team!

As a competitive runner it was very important for me to find a physical therapist who I could fully trust. I knew due to the nature of my sport, we were going to have a long standing relationship. I have been struggling with a chronic injury for quite sometime and have been trying to find the right treatment and technique to mitigate the problem. I was very pleased to find Kristin at Mend Colorado. Kristin is a fellow runner and an acquaintance of mine, which made me feel much more comfortable working with her. It did take us a while to figure out the origin of the problem and the best treatment, but Kristin was persistent and didn't rest until my issue was resolved. I use Kristin for injury prevention and maintence regularly. Both Kristin and Jeff are very approachable and friendly, but yet super professional. They offer a wide array of tools and techniques that can help with different problems and injuries--so there is no need to jump from one practitioner to another. We all know what an inconvenence that is. To top it all off, their website is user friendly and the prices are competitive. I already referred all my friends to them :)

Evan Roelke

I've been working with Kristin for several months and have seen dramatic progress in my running abilities. She is very professional, courteous, and works hard to understand how your body functions to attain the best results!

I came to Mend PT knowing the reputation of their two owners, Jeff and Kristen. They have advanced degrees and are highly skilled in resolving and helping people manage their musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. Having chronic hip and low back pain for over 20 years, and now more recently foot pain, my condition became quite acute recently with no relief from medications and other therapists. Jeff quickly determined the sources of my leg, back and hip pain and provided relief with the initial visit. I saw him 3 days for treatment within one week and was nearly pain free after the final visit. Having some long-term impairments, he addressed these with specific exercises which should get me back on the golf course and working out again. His explanations were clear and concise and quite helpful in understanding why I was having my current problems. It is so nice not to have the gnawing, deep aches and I sincerely appreciate Jeff’s quick diagnoses and efficient interventions.

David Pure

I've used Mend PT (Jeff) for two different sports related injuries. The last being a serious cycling accident. Had broken clavicle and a more serious condition called adhesive capsulitis or frozen shoulder. Several people recommended surgery. Jeff and I decided to stay the course with PT and miraculously I healed over a much shorter time than was thought to be possible. Jeff has a great bedside manner, incredibly state of the art techniques, patience and when appropriate knew when to recommend an orthopedic doc. Highly recommend Mend for mending!!

Roxie Ferguson

Kristin and Jeff really saved the day for me. Lower back problems, was barely able to walk and they squeezed in a last minute appointment for me. I felt relief immediately after first appointment. The attention to detail in the long sessions made a huge difference and I actually kept up with exercises in between appointments. THANK YOU!!

Michelle Elings

I'm so thankful to Kristin at Mend Physical Therapy for helping me rehab my knee after a ski injury (MCL). With her help, I was able to get back on the slopes this spring. I feel stronger and, more importantly, ready to prevent injury in the future with the exercises she provided!

Lisa Shellenberger

Jeff is fantastic. Best physical therapist I've ever encountered. He is very hands-on, incredibly educated and talented, and is committed to making sure his patients get better as quickly as possible. I highly recommend him.

As a marathon running and occasional triathlete, I periodically need physical therapy to address my 33+ year old ACL repair. MEND keeps me going. Kudos to them!

Pamela Borealis

I have been working with Jeff Ryg for the past couple months. In the last year, I have seen 4 different physical therapists, a personal trainer and a chiropractor. Jeff is a top-notch medical professional. Jeff has helped me work through a stubborn case of plantar fasciitis as well as other aches and pains associated with long distance running. I would highly recommend Jeff to any runner or athlete. Jeff has repeatedly displayed an understanding of injuries and body mechanics. Jeff is professional. He respects his patients' time (always on time for appointments) and follows up with his patients. After every appointment, Jeff has take the time to write up and email my physical therapy program (it is amazing to me that other PTs assume that their patients can memorize everything discussed in the visit). Finally, Jeff does not pressure his patients to set up appointments beyond their needs. It is a pleasure to work with Jeff!

Mend is one of the best physical therapy places I have been to. All the therapists are attentive of your concerns and work with you to achieve the goals you may set (big or small). I worked with Jeff Ryg for close 7 months for recovery from ankle surgery, and for intermittent tendonitis issues in my arms. He was patient and encouraging. I couldn't have asked for better guidance and support. I went from 5 minute walks to being able to walk for hours with confidence. I've also briefly worked with Kristin, and I find her to be a wonderful physical therapist who listens to patients and is invested in their well-being. All in all, you can't go wrong with any therapist at Mend!

Jessica Hartwell

I'm so pleased at the expertise and care I received from the Mend team. I learned about Mend from a clinic at my gym. I had injured my shoulder and made an appointment with Jeff for some help. He was thoughtful, thorough, and was able to efficiently diagnose what was going on and help me (both via manual manipulation and a series of exercises) to correct the issue. Jeff is professional, detailed and made sure I was comfortable with everything we had discussed. He even sent follow up training plans with all of the programming documented. Definitely recommend working with these folks!

Gui Campos

I don't have enough words to describe how professional and thoughtful Jeff and Kristin were on my treatment at Mend! Being a professional athlete I always have to deal with "unpredictable" injuries and both of them quickly got me an appointment where we could adress all steps to get me back into training pain free! I seriously recommend Mend for everybody looking to treat sports injuries and get back into their normal routine and do whatever activity they love pain free!

Troy De Groot

Did some knee rehab with Jeff to strengthen my MCL. It helped a lot!

Teri

Jeff's expert guidance was key in my complete and fast recovery after a bad sprained ankle. I highly recommend seeing him immediately after an injury.

Timothy Todd

Jeff Ryg at Mend PT is excellent! I was referred to Mend after a consultation with a neuro surgeon as a possible interim step vs surgery. Luckily I opted to try the less invasive PT route with Jeff and was greatly relieved to learn that surgery could be avoided. This proved to be true in that my worsening condition was almost completely reversed after a series of PT sessions with Jeff. I was also given the training / techniques to continue progress on my own. Surgery is no longer a consideration. Excellent experience - thank you!

Suzanne Martinez

Jeff at Mend Physical Therapy was very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and got me back on my bicycle after a hip injury. Jeff was always positive, and never let me quit!

Lisa Stern

I'm happy to say that after seeing Kristin Carpenter one time, my acute back pain practically went away. The injury happened the day after a full-on day of snowboarding - I knelt down to tie my shoes and bam, lower back went out. It seemed very random, but I learned from Kristin that it probably had something to do with being 10 months postpartum. Although I'd been very active since giving birth, some of my posterior muscles were weak. Kristin was able to figure out the root cause of the problem on the first visit, did some manual therapy, gave me some exercises, and I got better within the week. I'm glad I saw her as soon as I did after the injury because it didn't become chronic. Kristin is absolutely a top-notch therapist and I recommend her highly.

Carlo Arabian

Definitely two thumbs up. I worked with Jeff who was excellent. Very professional and knowledgeable. Took plenty of time to understand and diagnose where things were not working right and worked out the perfect plan to address them. Explained everything thoroughly so there were no mysteries. No attempts to add unnecessary sessions, or up-sell at any level. Would definitely recommend MEND to anyone who is looking for non nonsense PT.

Sarah L

I was so impressed with what he was able to achieve in a a short amount of time. I have pain in my knees from arthritis and others have pretty much told me to prepare for knee replacement down the road and invasive treatments leading up to that. Jeff did some manipulation and gave me some exercises to do and I walked out of there and took my first pain free steps in over a year, and hope that I might not need surgery! I will be coming back. Thank You Jeff.

Sebastian Corradino

I went to Mend with chronic and extremely severe back and hip pain and several months later, after perhaps 6 or 7 visits, the pain had diminished and life was getting back to normal. I really appreciate their approach to diagnosing and treating pain and working on physical problems in a holistic manner. I highly recommend Mend!!

John Dreska

Jeff was so great to work with. He helped me get healthy and was a tremendous teacher on how to stay healthy and keep my muscles loose. I would recommend Jeff to anyone who is seeking physical therapy for the first and is unsure who to use, like I was. If I ever need Physical Therapy again I'll only be seeing Jeff. Thanks Jeff!

Ryan McCleery

VP was great!

Sue Kunz

Hands down the best physical therapist we have been to. While we've been to many PT practices around town over the years, Jeff's knowledge and skills have really made a big difference in a very short time. He treated my daughter's running injuries first, and I decided to have him look at some long standing injuries (ankle and shoulder) that I had assumed unfixable. Wrong... Even after the first appointment, I could notice a huge difference. Jeff's hands-on approach delivers results. Couldn't be happier.

Tracey Jacobs-Haimann

I felt in good hands with Jeff. His excellent knowledge of body mechanics really helped me not only understand my physical limitation but how to correct it to better my performance. I walked out pain free and finally confident my issue can be resolved! Thanks Jeff!

Ian Anderson

I have had an excellent experience seeing Jeff Ryg at Mend for some running-related tendon pain. Jeff was able to quickly diagnose the issue, determine the root cause, work on the affected area, and get me back on my feet and running the same day. He gave me a personalized exercise program to do at home to work on strength and flexibility at the location of my injury and elsewhere to restore symmetry in my gait. I would highly recommend Mend PT and specifically Jeff for any sports injury or other ailment.

Marshall Hill

Jeff is terrific. I especially appreciate his focus on teaching me how to achieve continuing improvement on my own. Very focused, obviously very knowledgeable about the "why" of problems, and very clear about how to achieve improvement. Highly recommended.

Amy Shoffner

Jeff is the best PT we have seen over many years of sports injuries

Paula Vaughan

I had a chronic pain that worsened over 18 months before I bit the bullet and sought help....less than 2 months before a big race. Oh my gosh! What a miracle worker Kristin is! She analyzes, explains everything, then works wonders. Whatever "homework" she gives is homework that fits your personal style (in my case, just enough stretching to fit my almost-no-free-time-schedule and get me out the door for a pain-free run). Dealing with the chronic condition was her first step - now she has me well on the way to keeping my aging body healthy, strong, and able to run wherever, whenever, and for however long I like. And when I slip up, she works another miracle - every time.

Ellen Kahn

I have seen all three physical therapist at mend over the years. They are all fantastic. I have dealt with a broken arm and chronic back pain for many years. All three of them are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They are all athletes and understand how important it is to be able to get back on your feet so that you can do the things you love to do. I would highly recommend this office to everyone that I know.

Ryan Pedersen

Best PT in Colorado! As a mountain guide, I am regularly in need of maintenance and PT due to the physical nature of my job. I have been working closely with Mend for years dealing with overuse injuries related to climbing and guiding. Most recently, they helped me fully recover from shoulder surgery. I have been to many PT’s over the years but none even come close to the level of care you receive at Mend. You work 1 on 1 with your PT and never get passed onto an assistant. Because of this, I feel like I am always fully heard and my treatment is very specific. All the folks at Mend are Dr.’s of PT and well versed in the most current PT treatments and techniques such as dry needling. Above all, they continue to help me heal my body and get me back to playing hard in the mountains. I can’t say enough great things about this practice and the people who work there.

Planet Crypto

Kristen and the rest of the staff here are absolutely amazing! I wish Google would get the directions to this location correct (Kristen knows what I'm talking about). I'm reaching new heights in my bicyling because of the advice and exercise regime I received here! I can't be more thankful and would suggest this place to anyone!

Aaron Jensen

For the past year and some change I had been living with chronic knee pain. It finally got to the point where it was difficult walking up and down stairs and even getting off the toilet. I first saw a PA who thought I would require surgery. Being a 24 year old, the need for surgery felt unnecessary. That's when my search led to Mend. Honestly, my hopes weren't high and my expectations were low. However, after my first visit alone I could feel a progressive state in my knees. Working with VP has been wonderful and he exceeds my expectations with physical therapy. After 3 visits, again way less than expected, I am so happy with my current state. My knee pain is minimal at best now and I am starting to get back to the things I love, some of which being, weight lifting, hiking, skiing and competitive sports. The next step for me is to get stronger and the tools that VP has left me with should get me to where I want and possibly further. Truly my words cannot express how grateful I am for the team at Mend and all they have helped me accomplish. There's only one thing left to say, Choose Mend. Aaron J

Mend Physical Therapy is a wonderful new business that can help fix all types of physical pain. Jeff has worked hard to relieve my foot pain and has been successful. This is not your typical physical therapy office. Jeff is thorough in his knowledge and can explain problems in a way that is understandable. Through physical manipulation he can get to the root of the problem and not simply watch the patient ride a stationery bike (PT -previous experience). I am so thankful to have found Mend and recommend them highly to anyone in physical pain. I drive an hour for my appointments but it is definitely worth it!

Carol Dozier

Kristin resolved my rotator cuff issues and gave me the tools to maintain my mobility. I was thrilled to be healed without surgery. Kristin is professional and personally engaged in the patient's issues.

Ben Fenton

There is no shortage of very good physical therapy practices in Boulder, however Jeff and Kristen are a cut above. They take a genuine interest in your recovery/rehab, etc. I strongly recommend them!

Debra Bridson

Professional and knowledgeable- Received great results and pain relief. Highly recommend Mend PT!

Lenny Miller

Jeff quickly diagnosed the causes of my chronic knee pain and instability, provided the manipulations required, and prescribed an efficient routine for me to follow for maintenance. He provided what other PTs and orthopedic Drs were unable to provide. I'm able to enjoy ski mountaineering again with a confidence I've not felt in many years.

Michael Van Portfliet (VP) is awesome - he quickly found the source of my vertigo! He's professional, friendly, and super easy to talk with. Great location and hours too. I'll definitely come here for all my PT needs.

David Millar

Kristin and VP have been helping me with my chronic ankle and hip problems. Now I feel like I finally have a plan to keep active as I get older. They are more than just a PT. They can be your primary care provider for your muscle/skeletal system. Highly recommended for athletes.

Christopher Guerrero

Jeff has helped address all of my injuries and brought me back to competitive running faster that I could have ever hoped for. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful- I would recommend any athlete to pay a visit for injuries or maintenance work.

Savannah Cohn

Dr. Ryg is very through with his initial evaluation. He was reassuring that my injury would not take long to recover. Dr. Ryg showed me easy exercises I could do everyday to strengthen my knee. He was not just concerned with getting me back to 100%, but he made sure I knew what to do to prevent a similar injury. My experience with Dr. Ryg was nothing but pleasant, and thanks to him I can now walk up stairs and run pain free!

Laura Stamp

I honestly couldn't have had a better experience at Mend, and would highly recommend them. Kristin was incredible-- taking the time to understand who I am as a runner, and what/when my goal race was before even tackling my injury. Her treatment was both short-term (in this case, dry needling) and long-term, so I can address what caused the injury in the first place and work to prevent it from returning. She strikes the balance of being both thorough and efficient, and was happy to answer all my questions, even about unrelated niggles. And at the end of my last appointment, she told me to email with any other questions I have-- it's great to have such an accessible resource like that!

Kevin Eggleston

The best PT experience I've ever had. Professional and VERY effective.

Aaron Heun

I was suffering from tendinopathy in one hamstring and some tendinitis in the other glute while training for a marathon. I had been told to take a month off of running and skip the marathon. After seeing Kristin a few times I was able to keep training and ended up shaving 12 minutes off my marathon PR in running 2:42. I highly recommend Mend PT.

larry hirshland

I have been suffering for 3 years with low back pain and sciatica. I have seen multiple practitioners in Boulder applying such techniques as rolfing, chiropractic, acupuncture, injections, foundation training, etc. I could go on and on. I was in so much pain that I had to buy a standing office desk since sitting for more than 5 minutes resulted in intense pain. About 6 weeks ago I met Jeff and he told me the other modalities hadnt worked because they were merely treating my symptoms, not the root cause. During my initial (free, one hour) consult Jeff advised me that my problem was from a combination of tight ankles, a tight lumbar spine, and poor nerve communication. He also said that he was confident that I would be healed after 4 or 5 sessions with him. With a little bit of skepticism, I started to see Jeff weekly. His scientific knowledge was unparalleled as he would explain every week what was going on and why. 5 weeks later, I am 99% pain free. For the first time in 3 years I can ride a TT bike then climb on my bike the next day with no issues. Furthermore, I can now sit at my desk or on an airplane for long stretches with literally no pain. Mend is all about finding and treating the root cause, nit the symptoms! Thank you Jeff Ryg !!!

Eric Schwarz

A friend recommended Mend for PT. I am an older jogger who was starting to have repetitive muscle and tendon pulls over the previous several months. After about 5-6 sessions with Kristin I am again jogging without pain. The exercises and stretches she recommended that I performed over a period of about 7-8 weeks made the difference.

Came to Mend and saw VP the day I got my MRI results two months post-injury, and his treatment advice ended up being exactly the opposite of what an orthopedic sports medicine specialist and another physical therapist gave me (who also said if my symptoms persisted I’d be referred to a surgeon). I had a terrible sprain with two high grade ligament tears (ATFL and deep fibers of deltoid), two partial tears (CFL and PTFL), and contusions on essentially all of my ankle bones from a bouldering fall. Was dealing with persistent swelling, tightness, and limited range of motion, but was most concerned with the amount of swelling so long after the injury and unsure what activities I should avoid since swelling occurred with any activity. VP was confident by working with him I’d see a 75% improvement in 4 weeks and that’s exactly what happened. Still working with him on improving my balance and strength, but I’m climbing hard again and trail running, so I couldn’t be happier. Thank you, VP!!!!!!

Jake Steinmetz

Mend allowed me to recover from my injury and come back very strong. Physical therapists were great and helped get a quick recovery!

Paul Hamer

Kristin is excellent. A thorough evaluation followed by a discussion of the treatment options that are available. Further, an explanation of the problem and what can be done to avoid the injury in the future. I can’t recommend Mend highly enough.

Erika Nelson-Wong

I have been so impressed with the quality of care and service at Mend PT. As someone who is paying out of pocket, I have found it to be high value. Kristin is very efficient and packs an incredible amount into our sessions - there is no time wasted. She manages to accomplish all of the hands on work (with her Fellowship training, she has outstanding skill) as well as providing me with a comprehensive exercise program - and she takes the time to ensure I am doing the exercises correctly. I appreciate that the exercises she gives me can all be done at home without special equipment - this really helps me adhere to the program. Communication is stellar - Kristin sent me a copy of my evaluation after my initial visit (with links to the evidence about my particular condition and potential interventions) and a projected prognosis/timeline for my goals. I cannot overstate how much this helped me to understand my condition and motivate me towards my goals. I am confident that Kristen will help me to resolve my current injury, and also help me to improve my strength and movement patterns so that I can avoid future injuries - my goal is to be better than I was prior to this current injury! For convenience, I also really appreciate the ability to schedule on-line. Disclaimer, I am a physical therapist myself as well as an educator of physical therapy students (I have no conflicts of interest or professional arrangements with Mend). I use Mend as the gold standard that my DPT students should aspire to in their future practice.

I've been experiencing daily headaches and brain fatigue for the past 4.5 years post cycling concussion. I met VP at a community event, told him a little bit about what was going on, and could tell he took such a genuine interest in helping me. I had been losing faith that a physical therapist could help me because I had seen so many different PTs over the past years without showing any improvement. However, due to VP's enthusiasm and clear knowledge of the topic, I decided to give it a shot. I am beyond grateful that I did! After a few visits, I am already showing so much improvement. When I started going to VP, I wouldn't have even been able to look at a screen long enough to write this review! Now I truly feel I am on the path to full recovery. I would highly recommend VP. He knows his stuff and will admit when he needs to research something further. I have been to 20+ different types of health care professionals for my injury and he is one of two that I believe have actually made a difference in my recovery.

Nora O'Malley

Kristin has helped me come back from two major running injuries. She is so thoughtful and takes the time to identify the root cause of the problem and address it. I also think that the dry needling and manual therapy has helped immensely. I always feel a significant improvement in the days after treatment, which hasn't been the case with other physical therapists. It helps that she is a runner and an athlete herself and really understands the process of an athlete returning to activity after injury. Highly recommend!

Samantha German

Kristin got me up and running (literally) after a hip injury last year. Amazing place, great people, and unlike other PT offices I've been to, do not over-prescribe services so you will not overspend (if not covered by insurance). Really amazing place and people.

Ken Tola

I had elbow surgery back in March and then spent 2 months fruitlessly going through rehab. Lots of pain still, no real progress and I thought I was done - until I met Jeff. I am not lying or exaggerating here - Jeff literally got rid of my pain in two sessions. Not pain relief for an hour or a day - permanent relief. I saw Jeff for a grand total of 4 times and I am now completely pain free in my elbow. Jeff also correctly diagnosed what others thought was shoulder tendinitis - turns out it is actually bad middle back muscles. Go Figure. I have been through a lot in my life - broken more things than I want to list - and I am very rarely satisfied with the medical world, much less impressed. Jeff will literally blow your mind and he far exceeded any expectation I ever had. Highly recommended!

Emily McCort

I hesitate to leave this review because I don't wan't to have any trouble getting in for my follow-ups! As a physician, I have high expectations for my health care providers and Kristin does not disappoint. Quite simply, you are not going to find better, smarter, or more thoughtful physical therapy care in Boulder County.

Rohit Kumar

I saw Jeff for RSI in my forearms from excessive typing and posteriror tibial tendonitis (PTT) on my foot. I was able to see significant reduction in my RSI pain within the first two weeks. Similarly I was able to see progress in my PTT. I am happy to report that I have recovered from both injuries due to the phsyical-therapy sessions. Highly recommended!

G Lee

Jeff was great!

John Fox

Jeff at Mend Physical Therapy helped me strengthen and rehab my ankle after surgery. Highly recommend Mend. The one to one style of care is much more effective than my last experience at a physical therapist. Jeff is very knowledgeable and motivating.

Aly Barland

Mend is a great resource for rehab and strengthening. Very knowledgeable and welcoming with individualized therapy plans. The office was highly recommended to me and I was pleased with the care I received. I would recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their performance or recover from an injury.

Toby Murdock

I have had back and hip pain for years. I've worked with other PT's, focused on yoga, but I had not been able to solve the problem. Instead it actually became worse. I am so glad to have been recommended to Jeff and Mend because my back and hip are doing so much better. Jeff simply better diagnosed the problem and provided a better, steady approach to solving it. He took me along a ramp from tiny exercises (e.g. bird dogs) step by step up to squats and deadlifts. His strength-training focused approach has removed my symptoms and provided me a path for sustainable, long-term health. I'm really glad I found Mend and highly recommend them!

Jack The Beagle

Kristin at Mend is simply the best PT that I have seen (I have seen several over the years). She is incredibly knowledgeable and takes a evidence-based, science approach. She is great at treating not only the local pain, but is very gifted in finding the larger and more complex underlying issues that caused problems to begin with (i.e. muscle weaknesses and imbalances). One of the things that I most appreciate is that the treatment is performed with an eye towards keeping me active and enjoying the athletic things I love. This is the difference between simply being functional and being able perform at higher level. My only regret is that I didn't go to Mend sooner! - Holly B.

Charlie Stein

I went to Jeff to treat my chronic Plantar Fasciitis, which I had been suffering from for over six months. He was very knowledgeable about the root causes of my ailment. Using a wide variety of treatment modalities he helped greatly reduce my discomfort. He also saw me on his day off to treat an emergency finger dislocation. Jeff is committed to doing right by his patients, seeing them through the healing process. I highly recommend him!

ichie Yasutomi

I am glad that I chose Mend Physical Therapy. I know therapy is a very important part of my recovery as I have seen my mother went through her physical therapy for broken wrist and broken ankle. My arm wasn't broken but had a lot of tension and pain. With their evaluation, therapy and detailed advice I was able to recover faster than I thought. I used app that they sent to do my stretches and exercise at home, that made it easy to do. I highly recommend Mend Physical Therapy.

Sean Foley

Jeff Ryg was exceptionally helpful to me as an aid in my recovery process. Very personal and professional care which was a truly welcome contrast to other places I've been.

jessie

Jeff had amazing expertise and knowledge and helped me from the very first visit to a full recovery.

Matt Crossley

Jeff got straight to fixing me. I felt confident with every step he took. I had 2 injuries, a chronic back problem that I had for years, and a quite severe sprained ankle. I know I'd still be in pain and limping around if it wasn't for him. I've been to many PTs unfortunately, but Mend was by far the most prepared and knowledgeable. Thanks!

Cassidy S

Jeff is an excellent and expert PT. The entire experience of working with Jeff was efficient and informative. He is patient, willing to show you exactly what is going on to cause your issue, and very focused on working to get you better permanently. I would recommend him to anyone who thinks they might need a PT, I personally won't visit anybody else.

Kate Bailey

After years of seeing other therapists, Jeff finally put the pieces together for me and diagnosed a few compounding issues. He takes a methodical, no-nonsense approach and explains everything along the way. He's working diligently for the entire session, making it well worth the time and money. Everything is super professional, friendly and geared toward improving your health. Highly recommended!

Daniel Feeney

I had a fantastic experience with Kristen treating my achillies tendinopathy. The biggest differentiation for me is how Mend bases their decisions on both robust research and their experiences. This leads to reliable and valuable PT sessions that I know helped me get back to run training quickly.

Jen Greene

The most effective physical therapy I've ever had. Jeff is very knowledgeable, thorough, explains everything and keeps it simple. Very professional and friendly too.

Alison Maes

Kristin gives 110% to whatever brings you to physical therapy. I had a knee and ankle issue during marathon training and she addressed the root of my pain and problems, walked me through specific strength training moves while actually teaching me how to accurately complete the exercises. I am now pain free and am so much more mindful of what I need to do to stay pain free, strong, and mobile. She also works with your schedule and does whatever she can to help you. I drove from Denver to Boulder for her assistance and it was worth the time. Thank you to Kristin and MEND for helping me achieve my fitness goals and keeping my body healthy.

Richard Duke

Ive been to SO many physical therapists for almost a decade of hip pain. Jeff was the first person to make the pain go away. Honestly I had stopped believing it was possible. But his combination of strength work, stretching, and some guidance on my posture, finally did the trick.
